My sister and I checked out 4-5 senior centers that provide both independence and assisted living options. Staff turnover seems to be an issue at most of these places so prepared for that.

The facility is wonderful but its not necessarily the best option for people with a high level/amount of care needs, but for most people they would likely have a wonderful experience.

Overall experience is good. Very satisfied and appreciates her freedom here. Also loves the cooperation that all the staff contributes

I moved my Dad from a [community removed] to Boulder Creek Memory Care in Rockford in [date removed]. This has been a great move for Dad and me both. The life enrichment program is top notch with lots of activities for residents. [name removed] does a wonderful job and Dad responds well to her. Dad loves the food at Boulder Creek. I have had lunch with him there and thought the food was great. Dad is a fan of soups and it is on the menu every day. My only complaint is the lack of a front door staff person on the weekends. I have rung the bell over and over on weekends and waited up to 15 minutes to be let inside the building. I may ask to go through the necessary background checks so that I can let myself in the building on the weekends.

We chose it for friendly residents who really reach out to new residents and that has been really true. It is a nice community. Overall we are very happy with our choice.

What we like the most about the community is that they do lots of community events and give them transportation when needed. Yes, we would recommend Creekside at Shallowford to other families based on the experience so far.

Like that they offer many craft/activities for residents miss the social that were offered to family. The group of ladies that she sits with are great.

To be honest I can would give it a 4. But she has not done well because she hates losing her home. She won't eat their food or go for activities. However, the staff are nice. I would recommend the community to other families.

Very nice home!

Our mother has felt welcomed since her move in day and now calls. The Danbury her home. We are impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of most staff.

The caregivers working directly with residents are very good. They each have a "gift" of patience, dedication, compassion and oversight for residents. Activities are engaging and simulating for residents. The environment is comfortable and warm.

The facility is very modern and well kept. The apartment size is OK and again very clean and well kept. From the meals. I ate there and my conversations with my sister, the food and dining experience is excellent and activities appear to be very good. Only a couple of fairly minor issues. She didn't receive an orientation immediately upon moving in, which would've been extremely helpful. And she's had problems with a flooding shower which they are addressing Overall we are very satisfied.

The family night was well organized and a very good experience. Although I didnt have guest join me, I could see the families and other residents enjoying each other's company. The decorations and accommodations for 170+ people were very well done. The servers and staff managed the crowd well and delivered the meals timely and smoothly. The food was fantastic with great quality and quantity. 4.999 stars for satisfaction.

I love the whole concept and the staff and the residents here They are friendly. I enjoy the outing on Thursday’s with the other resident The living enrichments Director takes his time and makes sure we exercise and enjoy our time each day . They’re no other place I would rather be. My husband comes to visit at least 4 times a week and he is welcome each time he comes he also comes on the outing with us. The food is good as well.

Got my brother in law in almost a year ago. He is doing great and we are extremely pleased with the facility. It's a nice, clean facility, programs and meals. Great rooms.

The community is well educated. They are very friendly. The facility is adequate and clean. They need a better menu with health food.

The facility was clean. Open layout with appropriate windows to allow in sunshine. Rooms were nice size. They said they would have staff that could assist my aunt with her needs for blindness but that's why they received a 4 instead of 5 because they didn't follow through with that part. Also, the medical company that came in were good. However, I was under the understanding that a doctor would be coming out. But I am never to see the doctor it's a nurse practitioner which I don't have a problem with. But that was not my understanding at the beginning. Also, they don't tell you when they're going out. They just tell you after they've been there. They do see them once a month, which is good. But something is still missing in the communications about how the facilities medical Is actually handled.

Staff is very helpful and everything is so clean. Good housekeeping. Workers are pleasant. I really like my apartment.

Moved to Danbury when private home was to much to manage. Wife has dementia and lived in memory care.
