We absolutely have fallen in love with my mother (Joyce) new home. The staff and guests are very friendly and always reach out to include us as well as a warm embrace to Joyce. The amenities are above and beyond our expectations and were exactly the reason Joyce needed to move from our home so she could have interactions with women and men her age, eat nutritious meals and be able to enjoy outings to various venues. We will be recommending Creekside at Shallowford to anyone we encounter that needs a new home away from home.

We've had a great experience with Wescourt overall! It's a clean, well kept community, and it just has a really great atmosphere overall. Both the staff and the other residents are friendly and outgoing, and made my loved one feel welcome from day one. Really the only issue we've had is that sometimes non-emergency maintenance requests (like picture hanging, etc) can take quite a while to be fulfilled.

What a wonderful place. I feel so blessed to have found it for my mother. It is clean, and well cared for. The staff is very welcoming. They have a varied choice of room sizes. People were making my mom feel welcome on her first day. They were so accommodating . I feel comfortable placing my mom there. We toured several places. While they all had their positives, I feel The Danbury's positives out weighed them all. AND the food is fantastic!

My father moved in to Independence Village of Waterstone a week ago. He is still not participating in activities and doesn't always go to the dining room but the staff is great and very patient. Everyone is willing to work with him and let's me know what is going on. I really appreciate that.

Both of my parents are at the Legacy. Dad was in skilled nursing for 6 months and has now been living in assisted for over 2 years now. My Mother has been in memory care also for 2 years. I have seen staff change numerous times, which is my only negative. All staff have been wonderful, informative and on top of my parents health issues. It is a beautiful facility, great food and very clean. Also in the 2 year time span, many more activities have been added. Most important, is when there has been issues with either of my parents, I have always received a call right away. The Legacy is a wonderful place and I recommend it highly.

I love my new digs. There are so many nice people and they include my live-in managers, Bonnie and Jim Nutt. They are so wonderful - caring and helpful. We have so many activities I can't find time to do my laundry, but that's great. We go on shopping trips and can get to Rite Aid or they deliver our drugs from just up the street. All the services are great and for the most part our meals are pretty good. We have had some suggestions added in and hope to add some more in the near future. They are always open to our suggestions. Love the entertainment they have for us and we have the freedom of entertaining ourselves with many activities. All in all, a wonderful place to live and participate in life.

My mother lives in an Assisted Living apartment at Independence Village of Plymouth. We were very surprised and not pleased that, while the food is well prepared and plentiful, there are no provisions for heart-healthy or lower sodium options; nor is calorie and ingredient information available. My mother retains fluids and must carefully watch her salt and processed foods intake. It is hard for her to make wise dietary choices with no direction from the kitchen staff. Cafeterias and restaurants throughout the country operate with established menus and recipes, therefore one would think that this useful information would be provided by Independence Village. In some states publication of this data is mandatory.

Everything has been going really good, they were helpful and accommodating. The staff is real friendly. It's a very clean community, they have someone that comes once a week and cleans, and it's all included. They include transportation within a ten mile radius. The food is pretty good. They have a really nice facility, we have been really impressed.

Overall they do a good job at this community. It's a nice looking facility, and the staff all seem very friendly and professional. The services they provide are good, and they always seem to have plenty of activities going on. I've had the chance to try the food a few times, and overall it's been good. They could use a bit more variety, they serve quite a lot of chicken dishes. I've been impressed with how accommodating they are with the families and guests of the resident, they really go out of their way to make working with them a pleasant experience.

Independence Village of Waterstone is by far the best place for your family member looking to move into a fun retirement community. The staff is all professionally managed and know all of their residents by name. They have an atmosphere that is family style where you get the feeling you belong the moment you walk in the door. I would highly recommend this community for a worry free environment where you know 100% that the care is met in everyway. Activities are going on several times a day for the residents to attend. The fine dining with chef prepared meals will leave you satisfied and wanting more. The building is beautiful, clean and bright. Please take my word I know several of the residents who will testify that this community is set apart from all others because of the companies standards of creating the best experience in every interaction with every person, every minute of every day!

We didn't have alot of time to decide on a place for mom to live. Sometimes that can be a blessing, to not have to agonize over options that are available. We were fixed on a budget mom could afford and a move in date that would accommodate everyone. Aurora Pond met both at the sametime. We just happen to tour Aurora Pond the day a studio apartment opened up. The next day we signed the contract. The staff was very helpful in making our desicion. They made mom feel right at home. Aurora Pond is very clean and organized. The food is excellent and the wait staff is very attentive. Everyone we have come in contact with has been great, we couldn't be happier.

We love it, dad seems to be doing very well. He has a few complaints, but he can be a grouchy old guy. The nursing care is good, everyone is very, very friendly. Everyone has their own room with a fridge and a microwave. My dad doesn't use his though, he eats all of his meals in the dining room.

My mother used to live here but it was getting too expensive so we moved her. She had a private room which was nice but she just could not afford to stay there. I thought the care was pretty good and they seemed to have more entertainment that she could be come involved in - maybe not participate but at least watch. They had singing groups come in. Because she was in memory care I had to be there too, to take her to the entertainment, but I didn't mind that. We were happier there but the cost just became too much.

It was a very nice place and the people are very nice and helpful. My sister and I both live out of state so we were kind of counting on someone there to make sure everything is getting taken care of and there haven't been any issues at all. Our father is doing well there. The care is good and I don't think the cost is bad. For what we're getting, the value is really good. He gets 3 meals a day, medication management, showers, and they clean his room. He's never in his room so i'm assuming the activities are good too.

At first it was overwhelming to make choices/decisions because I wanted and honored my mother's wishes. (even though I didn't always agree!) The staff at Senior Star were very persistent and yet considered my personal situation with patience. I don't generally like frequent phone calls and aggressive marketing; however, with a timeline of goals in mind, just about everything that we planned and discussed together over several months turned out pretty well. After having to change so much of her lifestyle, my mother was quite homesick for at least a week. Now, she is receiving much needed therapy and has a smile on her face! The majority of staff personnel are very helpful, cheerful, and genuinely positive. It is a wonderful feeling to know that my mother can communicate her needs, interact socially, and feel safe, secure and healthy after such a big transition at age 91!

It was very nice but they didn't have the skilled nursing option. In terms of independent living however, they seemed very nice. We thought that the staff there was extremely friendly, it was probably the friendliest of the ones we looked at. A lot of that encouragement to take part in the extracurricular activities, the facility was very clean, it was newer and it was laid out extremely well.

Lovely place, good locality, great service, wonderful meals, friendly residents, staff very accomodating.

It's where my husband's mother is and it's a different kind of style, it's a little more formal. She complains about the food, but elderly people don't have the same taste buds anymore so things that used to taste good don't taste as good anymore and nothing tastes as good as a home cooked meal. But they have a chef there and they'll try thigns and if you like them, they'll make it again, and if they don't they won't give it to you. It's as wonderful as where my mother's at.

She had a rough transition at first only because she knew this would be the place for her but she didn't want to go, I think that's how all seniors are. Now she's been there almost 3 months and I find a different lady all together, she's happy she likes her room, she says everyone that works here is fantastic and she likes the food. My main reason of liking senior star is that she was close to family, this one's only been open 3 or 4 years so it's almosst brand new. I'm a retired Registered Nurse and I look at things in a totally different picutre; this place is meticulous, it's very very clean, we are very pleased with them, it's a lovely place. It was not an easy decision to make, but she's very happy there now. THe only suggestion I can give to families is really ask your questions and get deep into them; we liked the lady we spoke with but they're sales people so if you don't ask those questions or get into it they won't bring it up for you.
