They do a really good job. They are really clean and the staff is very friendly. They don't have a lot of activities, they have a Thursday activity, but that seems to be about it. It would be nice if they had some common areas where the residents could mingle and just have more opportunity for social interaction. They go above and beyond for her. They take really good care. It think it's such a good place.

Unfortunately my loved one was only here a short time before she developed some issues that would beyond what they can handle, but during her stay here I thought they did an excellent job! They were incredibly accommodating, and really bent over backwards for us while we were there. I really liked that the staff knew the names of all the residents, it really added a personal touch and made it feel much more homey.

My mother in law moved into Danbury a few weeks ago. The experience has been wonderful. The facility is beautiful- the decor is so warm and inviting. The staff are all wonderful - always willing to answer questions.

We love it there. My dad loves it there too. We are just tickled with it. They are just such nice people, and such a nice place. It was very reasonably priced. They have good food, and so many activities to do. The management are such nice people. They are great over there just as nice as they can be. It's perfect! I couldn't complain about a single thing!

We have been very happy. Every time we go they are doing something different, for activities. The main reason we chose them was the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness, the overall appearance, but mostly it was the people. We haven't had any complaints or trouble with the food or the laundry. It's been everything we wanted.

I couldn't be happier. The staff is excellent. They are helpful, friendly and supporting during a very stressful part of my life. My mom's "care partner" always has a hug for my mom, and will just sit and talk to mom for as long as my mom needs it. I have been offered a free support group to help me with my emotions and concerns with my mom.

The couple moving from their home of 50 years were very hesitant about making the decision. The staff at the Marquette offered multiple visits, meals and activities to help smooth the transition. Jeanne and Michelle were great!

They are a little short staffed right now. Their activities don’t it’s a beautiful facility with tremendous amenities. A truly dedicated staff – the supervisiory staff is truly dedicated. The place is immaculate. The food is actually excellent. They are doing their best to have my mother’s caregivers standards. Every effort to meet the individual needs.

My dad has only been there a little while, but I’d give them a 5+. We’re very pleased! I love them! I love that place! They respond really quickly. They have a lot of activities. I just feel that this is the place to start. I don’t think you’ll find another places… the beauty and friendliness. They were the best.

I have nothing but good things to say! I am really amazed with how many times my loved one has said that he likes it here! The whole family likes it, too! So far, there's nothing I can complain about! My loved one has an upstairs apartment, but it's right around the corner from an elevator. The elevator is right next to a bathroom and the dining room on the first floor! The food is great too! Everyone has been happy with the food! The staff are all so wonderful! They take care of what they need to, and are all so friendly! They have a lot of great activities and things going on! There's also a really nice exercise room! Their apartment is great! It has a big window, and it's bright and cheery! It's got a nice, big closet! It's all kind of open, and it looks so much bigger! What really impressed us was how spotless the whole community is! Everything is so clean! They've also got so many extra little areas to go and sit. There's a nice library, and a nice pool room for the guys. I really think we will end up here some day! I don't think we'll have to check any further. We've been so impressed, and are so happy with this place!

Everyone is so nice.

They are an exceptionally good value. They are very, very good. They are the only ones that have been willing to work with us and meet us halfway. When it comes to food they all have a tremendous glycemic load, and the state has some insane calorie requirements. So there are some nutrition concerns about what is imposed by the state. Some of the meals are almost all starch. That is by no way a reflection on Glen Oaks. When I brought my brother to visit and see, when we walked out he said, "Wow what a find!".

Even though it's pricey, they have been a Godsend! My loved one is having a ball here! She is such a social butterfly, and really enjoys having people around! Also, she's safe here! It really has been wonderful! We haven't met any staff members who aren't as nice as possible. Also, the other residents are supportive and helpful with the transition. They all seem happy and healthy because they have such great care and support here! They are able to talk to each other in such a social atmosphere. We really haven't met any mean or nasty residents here. Also, Jim Belcher is wonderful to work with. I would suggest him to anybody! He has not been pushy at all, and it's been a great experience!

I am 72 and I was there at the wrong time in my life. I was hoping to have my ill husband join me after his physical therapy was done at a nursing home, however, 40 days after I moved into Aurora Ponds my husband was put under Hospice care for kidney failure and died a month later. I had to move out after one month because I wanted to be near my husband and he required skilled nursing care, which is not available at Aurora Ponds. This is a lovely place, near everything but still a very beautiful quiet setting. People are very friendly and you can have a small pet. Laundry facility is so convenient. Everything is so clean. Fresh fruit flavored iced water available all day. Oh how I wish I could afford to go back now that I am alone. I know they will let me come back just to play the piano - my joy is to play for others. They called me the piano lady. There are so many things to do - I was too busy to enjoy them because of visiting the nursing home but I saw the monthly events calendar and it was exciting. It is also a very safe place to walk or ride your bike. Remember, a car ride to Lake Michigan would only be about 45-55 minutes away and lunch at Ottawa Beach Inn would never be forgotten. I speak with authority. Oh and for dessert there is Captain Sunday or Russ's delicious pies or cream puffs. Maybe they will let me drive bus to show you these great opportunities. I could go on and on about Aurora Ponds but see for yourself - it is beautiful.

They are great!! There are plenty of activities and things to do, and my mom has already made friends! The staff come and encourage the residents to participate! They worked with me financially to accomodate our needs! It's just like family here! They really make you feel welcome! Also, the food is awesome! They have real chefs that make the food, and it's delicious! They always have food out - cookies out, and soups out until midnight. The waiters and waitresses are dressed appropriately and their hair is up. The chefs have their big white hats on. The communication with the management is great as well! I go everyday, and they really helped me with setting up physical therapy and doctors. Bonnie and Jim live there, and they are so helpful! They are so welcoming and I'm so glad we found Ponder Creek!

Vintage Hills at Prairie Trail has an inviting atmosphere and its just perfect for my mom who needs assistance in her daily living activities. Once a guru in the kitchen, she has adapted well to being pampered receiving three meals each day. Mom is enjoying meeting new people, adapting to her new apartment, planned activities throughout the day and having her grandkids/dog stay over for the night. There are planned outings twice a week which I'm hoping can be increased in the future. Mom can still living independently while having the security of getting help at a moments notice. The people that assist my mom are fabulous and have really worked with our family to make the transition as seamless as possible.

Overall they do a great job here, I'd give them 5s in all catagories except activites, which I think they could do a bit better in. They're very friendly, and seem very compassionate and concerned about my loved one. They have doctors that come to visit the facility, which is convenient. They also have 24 hour care available, and a nurse practitioner that visits once a week. I've also had a chance to eat here a few times and the food seems very good!

The staff is very, very good, they were a huge deciding factor. It is expensive and in looking into the other ones, it's on the high end of what's out there, but it's worth it. There could be a little more individual attention. There haven't been any complaints about the food. When we went there the first time, they were welcoming him and knew his name already. They have a support group that meets every week for the families of the residents.

I toured this location when I was looking into apartment options. Overall I was very impressed by what I saw here, it was almost a coin toss between this one and the one that I ended up selecting. This is a very nice looking community, the staff are friendly, and all of the amenities I saw looked good. The transportation service seemed to be a bit more limited here, which is a concern to me since I know I won't be driving forever.

The food here is superb! It's delicious, and there's always plenty of it. The food service itself can be a bit slow, so if they could find some way to speed the process up a bit it would be perfect! I'd give them top marks across the board for everything else. It's a very nice looking place, and everyone is very friendly. I suppose they could improve on the activities a bit, but even those are still very good.
