My father was transferred by me (his daughter) to a memory unit at Danbury Westerville - Parkside after an unsuccessful stay at a different facility. He did experience relocation stress syndrome for about a month but did eventually "settle in" and became content there. I was always notified about any changes in medication or falls promptly. My only complaint was that there were about three times family members tried to reach the night nurse when my dad called us on the early morning hours and the call went directly to voice mail with no return call or it went to an advertising loop for Danbury facilities. On the plus side, there was always at least one music program each week which he loved.

My husband and I recently moved in and couldn't be happier! We had toured Springvale last fall and unfortunately chose another community, only to find out they where not the quality, caring, beautiful facility as Springvale. We were so excited to move in, and have a beautiful apartment on the courtyard. The food is pretty good, and the staff are kind and friendly.

This facility was so easy to work with as far as understanding price, policies etc. Our mother always comments on how kind and helpful ALL the staff is. The move went very well and the community has engaging and fun activities. The food is excellent! Our family loves to go and dine with her. The facility is clean, beautiful , and maintenance updated consistently. We are very thankful for Independence Village- Waterstone!

The facility is clean and staff is friendly. I’ve lived here for about 4 months and I enjoy all the outings and activities they offer. The food is good. I have a great view including my bird feeder that the squirrel enjoys.

Staff is always upbeat and helpful -without exception. Residents in assisted living sometimes have to wait quite a while for service after pressing their call button. Although food variety is exceptional, preparation is mediocre and service can be extremely slow.

The experience was fantastic. It was very clean very polite people. They had many activities for everyone. Everyone was very polite and courteous. I was really surprised that they had something like this and Luddington. I would recommend everyone to stop and check it out.

It was a great place that worked and negotiated w my father to get him in. The food was very good there. The people were also wonderful. I'm so sorry my father didn't go on w his move as he had said he would and seemed very excited about moving. His wife stopped him, somehow, sadly, as he continues at home with his wife and having one meal a day, continues to lose weight and deteriorate. In this situation, the food was very good, that's what comes to mind. The people very helpful and caring, friendly environment. Perfect for someone to live on their own or for those who need some assistance, but not entirely ready for a hospital bed. I loved it there, Dad liked it a lot also, I had the feeling that they genuinely cared for their folks there

One of the key reasons I chose this community for my mother was because of the wonderful relationship [name removed] has with her and the other residents. She takes the time to call me every week, providing valuable feedback about my mother’s well-being. Thank you, [name removed], for all that you do. We truly appreciate you!

After spending weeks of researching and touring facilities in our area we found this one the best. They have incredible staff all around. The facilities, activities, trips, dining, and location are perfect. They often have morning or afternoon trips planned for anyone that wants to go. My Mom enjoys spending time with the friends that she has made there. I go see her at least twice a week. I am always happy that we chose this facility. I absolutely recommend!

They worked really hard to get her out of a bad situation and got her in quickly. The place is very nice with good staff and a nice formal dining room.

Everything gets a 5.. except number 8. Number 8 gets a 4 because the price seems a bit much in my opinion. The facility is clean and inviting. The staff is very attentive to the needs of residents.

We frequently visit a family friend who resides in this facility in their memory care unit. We have always been so impressed with care she receives. The staff are wonderful. Everyone is doing their best to provide a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

I like the set up of my apartment. The building is secluded surrounded by flowers and trees and it is very private. They have activities for everybody and you can be as busy and active as you want. The residents and employees are very friendly. From housekeeping to maintenance to the dining room. They call you by name and are willing to help you and bend over backward for what ever you need. I would recommend it to my family and friends. I am very happy here.

I enjoy the environment.The staff is helpful in many ways, personally and medically. I feel taken care of wood on every aspect of any of my needs. I’ve been in other places for my care needs and none of them have even touched the care that this place offers me. I’ve made new friends and new relationships while living here. When I first moved in it was my wife and me as residents. She has since passed and during that timeframe we were both treated with the best care and compassion.

Glen Abbey is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is great. I feel safe knowing that help is right outside my door. The staff are my favorite part of being at Glen Abbey. They care for me and make me feel at home.

I come here once a year and find everything to be great and I feel welcomed I enjoy all the outings that they offer. The staff is so friendly and inviting I would highly recommend to anyone in need .

I am happy and satisfied. Activities are good overall and offer a lot of things. I have no problems with the staff, they are very open, friendly and ready to help with whatever someone needs. The building is very clean and the housekeeps do an amazing job. If I need anything, all I have to do is ask the staff.

After a 3 month hospital stay, we moved my mom from her condo to StoryPoint Birmingham. From our first meeting with [name removed], to moving my mom in, we had a great experiences. [name removed] was wonderful helping coordinate all the details, [name removed] has been a breath of fresh air each time we have met with her. The caregivers, nurses, front desk employees, restaurant staff etc…have all been very kind, helpful and friendly to our whole family ! My mom is happy and well taken care of and we have some peace of mind. We highly recommend considering StoryPoint Birmingham for your loved ones !

My mom lost her husband in [date removed] but continued to stay alone in the home she had lived in since 1968. In [date removed] she experienced several falls within a few short months. She was not eating well and becoming weak and mildly confused. In October I took mom to The Danbury for a scheduled tour. Mom wouldn’t even get out of the car! I met [name removed] [name removed], who after my tour made the extra effort to go to the car, introduce herself to mom, and the two had a gentle conversation about all the Danbury community had to offer. Mom was reluctant to leave her home but we encouraged her to take a “winter respite” to gain strength. It is now [date removed] and Mom is THRIVING beyond our expectations in the Danbury community. She has friends, real conversations, eats 3 great meals daily, plays bingo, euchre, and participates in well planned activities. The dedicated staff go above and beyond to ensure Mom is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. She is happy, safe, and The Danbury is her new home.
