Thanks for being so great to mom, and therefore, us her daughters. We have peace of mind knowing she is always well cared for. Someone is always paying attention to her needs. And the staff is always friendly to family, too!

This is the best AL in this area. Believe me, I have been in them all!

Excellent food served with care

Beautiful facility with wonderful staff! My parents and in-laws have all lived here and have been well-loved and well-cared for.

The whole experience was as delightful. The staff made us feel special just as they make the residents feel everyday. It is a blessing to visit here every time.

Love all the activities!!! Atmosphere is friendly, neighbors look out for one another creating a place that feels welcoming.

We loved our care partners and nurses! Everyone was very caring and helpful. We chose this facility because of the "vibe" when you walk in the door. We said it was like being on a cruise ship without the water. Room sizes are sufficient and the amenities are wonderful. Laundry & cleaning services make things easier on families. There is a parking garage for those that can still drive and choose to have their own vehicle. The only issue we had was lack of communication and follow through. Families need to stay on top of things to make sure plans are being followed.

The staff and residents all seemed very happy and the place was very bright and clean. I was impressed on how the leadership new all the staff and residents names as we toured. This was very impressive!

Independent Village Traverse City, and it’s truly special. The team cares deeply and it shows in how we serve our residents every day.

We helped move my sister into Independent Village. Any concerns we had were dealt with respectfully and in a timely manner. All of the staff we encountered were extremely kind and helpful. The facility appears to be clean and well kept.

Very nice facility. Clean, well run. Staff is caring and efficient. The layout of the facility is well thought out. The food service is commendable. A very diverse menu that has to be challenging for those who have to prepare and serve.

I moved into Independence Village after I broke my hip. Everyone has been absolutely lovely and always willing to help me. I at first was confined to my room after my surgery, but now I'm able to move around the community and enjoy all the great amenities. The staff have encouraged me to continue regaining my strength, they have been my cheerleaders. The Executive Director even got me flowers to celebrate my progress. Those are the little things that make me feel welcomed and thankful I came here to make this my new home.

The staff members are so kind nurses, sides, kitchen, cleaning, reception, and maintenance. The facility has lots of light and space. The entire space is peaceful.

A visit a friend at Independence village today and was very impressed with the upgrades they have made to the facility. I also had lunch, and I was very pleased with the menu and the taste of the food. As we walked throughout the building, I saw there were activities going on, and I saw that they had scheduled outings for lunches. I think this would be a good place to live.

Great staff. Well balanced, tasty meals. The one bedroom apartment, with which I am familiar, is a very nice size. Living area with fridge and sink, with room for seating, curio cabinets, etc. Bedroom with queen bed, triple dresser. Great closet space.

I thought it was interesting that they are updating their rooms and they have refreshed the look to their dining room! While we’re talking about dining room, the food is outstanding and the Chef [name removed] he’s very knowledgeable in his menu selections! The staff is very friendly and helpful to answer your questions or needs. As I visited my friend, I noticed there was several of activities going on, and I read where they was having outings to various places.

I just had a very nice visit with my friend. The staff was so friendly,food was delicious and the building in clean and inviting. I like to visit during the activities. Especialy during bingo. I get a chuckle out of the residents. They have so much fun.
