Great place to live! Everyone is so nice. They help with everything we need and there is good food.

She was scared of a move at first but Mom couldn't be happier now that she's all settled in. Staff really took their time to make her feel welcomed. Our move in day they fed the entire family in the dining room and the maintenance man helped me mount her tv. We were all very happy.

Enjoyed the tour, had excellent meeting with [name removed], [name removed], & team. Will evaluate information received.

My apartment is brighter and has more storage than my condo. I can walk down the hall to many activities. The dinning room is beautiful. The neighbors and the staff are the best you can find.

My wife has medical problems and is now in assisted living here at Story Point and the care is excellent and would recommend it to anyone needing full assisted care.

I have lived here for 4 years. I have enjoyed my time here at the community. I have really enjoyed the activities, the residents are special. My favorite is the food! The dinners are the greatest!

Everyone in every department at Independence Village is kind, caring and attentive.

From the first time I walked into Independence Village at Avon Lake I was not just impressed, but inspired!!! I was not expecting people to walk up to me and tell me how “living here has changed their lives” or to have a resident tell me “don’t waste a lot of time looking at the hundreds of places in the area... “I’ve seen them all and there is no place like this!” Completely unsolicited! Residents just seemed to love sharing how they feel about and their experiences at Independence Village at Avon Lake!! And now that my brother has been living and thriving and enjoying making new friends and having so many new experiences, I recently witnessed him doing the very same thing.... walking up to someone new and chatting, chatting, chatting!!! There is something very special here!! The Staff are so professional, bright and always willing to listen, smile, and share a kind word or a little joke! From the Housekeeping Staff to the Front Desk Receptionists, they are remarkable!! Multi-tasking is brought to a new level with these folks!! And yet, they never seen under-pressure or rushed... they treat everyone with a smile, a kind word and a real answer!! An emergency??? They are on it!!!! No worries!! The Activities are spectacular! So much variety! Learn something new with The Great Courses or TED Talks!! Movies outside in the courtyard during summer to bring your grandchildren to and enjoy a warm evening and popcorn together! And the best live music I’ve ever listened to and a lot of it!!! The food??? SPECTACULAR! CareGivers are incredible if needed for long periods or for just a short time.... they are there with expertise and compassion and a friendly smile!! I can easily go on and on about a Independence Village of Avon Lake, but the bottom line for me is... I have truly seen changes in my brother since he moved in that constantly amaze and inspire me!! I now understand what that dear resident meant when he said to me six months ago that “this place has changed my life!” WOW!! I am so grateful to Independence Village of Avon Lake, to its Residents, it’s Staff and it’s Families!!! This is a Community of Kindness and Miracles, of Healing and of Joy! And I am so glad that my brother is living his life in new ways each day because of each one of you!

The facilities are very well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone is always happy to respond to questions and are very patient

Excellent, caring staff from the top down - from [name removed] wellness coordinator to every aide, very responsive to Mom's needs and our needs. Great help with strategics, helping Mom adjust and navigate her new surroundings. We are at peace, knowing that Mom is in good, caring hands.

I love living here. Everyone knows your name and is kind, especially the ladies at the front desk. My housekeeper does a very fine job cleaning my apartment. I go to the gatherings and enjoy all the music. The chef asks if you like the food which we always tell him yes. The soups here are the best.

My mom has lived at Independence Village in Brighton for almost 4 years. She loves it! She has made great friends with other residents and staff. I love that she has so many reasons to smile and is taken excellent care of by qualified people who do what we no longer could for her. Fabulous community!

This is a great place to live. There is something always something going on. The staff is wonderful, helpful and caring. Their food is great with different options daily to choose from. The building is very clean. I toured many communities before choosing this one and IVBV is by far the cleanest community around.

My mother has dementia and at times is difficult to deal with, [name removed] is so very caring, patient and goes above the call of duty to make sure my mother is comfortable and also explains very well to my dad the procedures she is administering to my mother. I could not ask for a better nurse/caregiver for my parents.

Every department head; Executive Director, Property Administrator, Community Specialist, Executive Chef, Life Enrichment Director, Housekeeping Lead, Maintenance Lead and Wellness Director including their staff do an excellent job to make this Village for us residents a most wonderful place to live. They care for us like we are family and treat us and each other with care and love.

A great place. I have faith that my dad will be taken care of. Beautiful furnishings and well maintained.
