Most staff are extremely friendly and helpful – the administrators and their support team. When my mom was totally independent, there were no issues. Once my mom needed help with some ADL though, too often the staff did not show up, or when they showed up did not perform all the specific tasks that were assigned. We addressed this issue with the administrators several times, and the situation has improved, but would be nice for it to improve more.

This community offers the best in residential housing. It houses the best staff around thanks to the caring executive director at this Novi location. Michael H gives his heart to the residents And the STAFF. He infuses “fun” activities in the building that helps build friendships, keeps residents active and makes the job of caregiving more fun for everyone. The job of caregiving comes so natural to the director . He is always present in the building, always makes time to talk to people and literally cares for residents directly himself. Many of the caregivers within this community have given me great comfort. Keep it up, Storypoint!!

This is a review of the Memory Care unit only. So the Staff is friendly and helpful and they answer questions when you need them to. They are available and they do get back to you when you leave a message during the week within 24 hours but of course weekends might take a bit longer. The food in the memory care unit is okay not as many fruits and vegetables as we would like but if you tell them what your loved likes then they will provide it for them. When you visit, you can take your loved one to the Bistro area and have a meal with them (their meal is free of charge there but you will have to pay for yours). You can also take your loved one to the dining room when you visit but someone must be with the memory care patient at all times outside of the memory care unit. You can also take a walk with your loved one or if in wheelchair you can take them to see the aviary they have outside the memory care unit. The memory care unit is 2 wings of approx. 24 patients each. They have terrific activities and a gentleman comes and plays guitar and piano for the residents and gets them to sing which is nice. The memory care unit has its own activities but if you visit your loved one you can take them to the assisted living activities as long as you are with them. The rooms are big, bright and have lots of light. This facility was constructed as a memory care unit which I feel is important because it has all the things memory care patients need. There is an outdoor section to the unit so patients can go outside and enjoy fresh air summer only of course. The doors to the memory care unit are locked and you must get a staff member to let you in and out. The doctor and pharmacies are great there. My mom can reach the doctor when she has questions and they do return her calls. The doctor at the facility/LPN does see patients physically(we have been at another facility where they relied on the nurses to tell the dr. what was happening). The occupational, physical and speech therapies are good as well. Additional information that you should know...There is a hair dresser onsite but you have to sign up for it on a different website and put money into an account just for hair or shaving services (for men). In the memory care unit, a staff member makes the appt and this person was difficult to find. We were sent around and around the facility trying to figure out who was responsible to make the appt. so be sure to ask who does it when you sign the lease. My dad moved into the facility over Christmas so it was bit chaotic due to staff shortage but that seems to be resolved. They have separate staff that just cleans the rooms and staff that just does the laundry. The nurses and caregivers do just nursing and caregiving duties. I feel this is important in a facility. My dad is one of 2 men on the wing. So the ratio men to women is a little skewed just FYI.

I would highly recommend them. The facility and rooms are very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. She had been at another facility we were not impressed with. Storypoint was close to my house and we really liked it when we took the tour and saw how happy the residents seemed there.

The community is will staffed. They provide everything for your loved one as possible and are very caring. The rooms are large enough to accommodate extra furniture such as a chair and sofa. They have an excellent cooking staff with a variety of different foods for eating.

We picked the community because it felt like home and the staff was very inviting. I felt comfortable knowing that Dad wasn't going to be alone and that someone was always somewhere close by. And, even though pops didn't participate, it sounded like there were many activities that would help seniors build community and new friends.

The staff we worked with us while we were considering our options, was very friendly and flexible. They helped us experience as much of the StoryPoint lifestyle as was possible before actually living there. They were willing to make home visits to evaluate our needs. We appreciated the incentives they offered to make the move more palatable. They know these decisions aren't easy. StoryPoint offers the most options for seniors interested in independent living. We chose their assisted living accommodations, however, because we wanted to avoid another move when higher levels of care become necessary. There are a limited numbers of apartments available for assisted living. Fortunately, the perfect apartment became available as we were deliberating, so the choice was easy. Residents in assisted living can take advantage of dining opportunities and activities offered for independent residents. The dining atmosphere and food quality were important elements in our search. This seemed like a good fit for our 101 year old family member who still operates independently most of the day, but requires some help with mobility, personal health, and the knowledge that help is available almost instantly 24/7. She reports that conditions and staff at StoryPoint are optimal, but the transition is still very hard. Recently, I received emails explaining about an outdoor gas leak that caused the residents to be without heat while it was being repaired. I appreciated the prompt communication and reassurance that the problem had been solved. So far, so good. We definitely recommend StoryPoint.

Our experience with StoryPoint Romeoville was fantastic! Everyone there went out of their way and was so so nice and caring. I can't tell you enough how everyone, and I mean everyone, in the family who visited were so so impressed. Being able to sit in the lunch room and have breakfast, lunch and or dinner with my loved one and mingle with other residents, just super. Loved the happy hour at the bar two days a week. I would highly recommend StoryPoint to any and everyone.

Everyone is friendly and my mom said the food is great. I only looked at one other place. The main reason we went with story point is because my mom stayed there a few years ago and really liked it.

Originally my loved one came for respite care. Everyone, especially staff has been very kind and attentive to my mother. It has made this transition in her life more comfortable and easier to accept.

My Dad had care in his home and then transitioned to Assisted Living at a different facility for the past year. I cannot stress how important it is to trust your gut instincts when your loved one has dementia. Things were going downhill quickly at his facility and excuses for sub optimal care were mounting. That’s when I reached out to Bayfield.. EVERY staff member from the beginning of my inquiry to move in day was so caring and professional. Previously Dad would sit in his room and was not really encouraged to join the rare activities his previous facility had. BAYFIELD changed that! From day one the staff has encouraged my Dad to join each of the 3-4 DAILY ACTIVITIES… a plethora of opportunity for my Dad to be engaged and meet people and build bonds in his COMMUNITY! The smile on my Dad's face, the laughter, the pure joy of watching him interact is priceless! The staff genuinely care about their residents health, safety, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing. HIGHLY recommend!

I really enjoy living here. Very nice place and I love my 2 bed room apartment. Everyone here is very nice to me. They offer lots of stuff to do here. I made lots of great people her. Love the stream in the back

Staff, for the most part, is amazing. And I witnessed an issue one weekend, communicated it with the management, and it seems to have been resolved. The only issues that we really have had have been some lack of communication from management. Housekeeping is good and the move-in process was smooth. I would say 90% of the meals are really good, but Mom has found a few that weren't so great. I would and have recommended the facility to others, and trust me, I'm picky when it comes to my mother.

My loved one always remarks about the food. Loves their deserts. She really hasn't made herself do any activities because she had the hip surgery and she is reluctant to go out till she can at least walk with only her cane. The move in process went well. We thought it wouldn't, but the movers said what furniture she had was well made and could get in the smaller elevators. Housekeeping has been good and staff as well, when mom has asked she gets the answers or we do for her. She is very good at calling us to do this or that done. Since the end of January mom has been there after rehab she just needs to work harder at her exercises more, but that's being 93 and she doesn't want to exercise. But her place, we finally got everything in the place plus pictures up to make it homey. She is very pleased where she is at. Likes it a lot. YES I would recommend this place to others.

I've bee here for almost 3 years and I absolute love it here. The people who live here and the staff are so wonderful and friendly. I love all the activities we do and all the places we get to visit. The food is good and the staff is outstanding.

We recently moved Dad from Florida into IVP. The staff at IVP made the transition easy for him and his family. He has adjusted very well and I truly believe it’s because of how wonderful the staff is. They genuinely care about their residents and it really feels like a family atmosphere. I’ve been here 3 months and I love it! Everyone is very friendly and feels like home. They are also pet friendly. The food is good, The staff is great and everyone cares for everyone here. I definitely recommend anyone to come here

I've been here for about 5 months now, and it has been great, I was very nervous moving here because I didn't think it would feel like home, But boy was I wrong. Its like living in a big house with all of your bestfriends. Everyone welcomed me with open arms. I love spending the day with all of my friends and the staff. We do so much here from dancing to bingo or arts or crafts, even bible stuff and that's importin. I'm very blessed to to live in a place like this

I am currently a resident and I LOVE it here. This community has made my life easier and the food is great and I enjoy all the activities they host. I am truly enjoy my time. The staff has been great and the team there are on top of everything. If i need anything I know it will be taken care of
