Independence Village is a warm cozy community. All the staff are proficient and intelligent. I am so thankful for them. The facility is welcoming and beautiful.

I've met a lot of nice people. My apartment is quite spacious.

The experience here has been wonderful so far. Mom enjoys the meals, that’s very important to her. 3 meals a day served restaurant style, and a menu that changes daily. Employees are very accommodating and helpful in every way. Her apartment gets cleaned once a week. Everyone has been so friendly, the residents are concerned about their neighbors. There are rides to appointments. Washers and dryers available. Saw 4 deer just outside the dining room window couple days ago. Physical and occupational therapy will be within the facility soon, that’s incredible. Activities, library, exercise, movies and pet friendly too. I love how the residents never have to move, as the care they need may increase, the care comes to them in their apartment. The Marquette is more like community of friends than I imagined, nothing like the “senior housing” I thought it would be. They are each given an alert necklace, each chooses if they want to wear it. There are more good things too…

The only piece of constructive feedback we have is the entry door. It was challenging to interrupt the staff every time we wanted to enter or leave the facility. It taxes the staff to have to monitor the door and provide care for the residents simultaneously.

We are very happy with the care that our family member is receiving in the memory care unit. I think it is important to state that our experience is with the memory care unit. I don't have any knowledge of what the care is like in assisted living.

We chose StoryPoint Pickerington because they went out of their way to get what we needed/wanted. They do everything they can to make it work for Dad. Always friendly and cheerful. Dad is very happy!

Very qualified and caring staff. They remain in constant contact with respect to any changes in care and care requirements. Contacts provided are quite responsive to any inquiries or concerns. Very, very satisfied.

Storypoint has taken time, from the initial phone call to current day, to ask what my family member liked and disliked in care, food, and activities. When a medical need becomes clear, response is immediate. They ask about my well being as well. I have found this facility to be honest, Professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We have been extremely satisfied with Mom living in the Enhanced Living Wing at StoryPoint Union. Every caretaker who has interacted with Mom has been so caring and patient. The partnership with Laurus Home Health Care has allowed us to personalize Mom’s care. It is definitely not a “one-size-fits-all” facility. Mom arrived at StoryPoint very weak after undergoing a major surgery and a bout with Covid. She was underweight, wheelchair dependent, and needed two-person assist to transfer. She even needed to be fed at every meal. Fast forward five months and she is now feeding herself, walking short distances in her apartment with a walker, and only needs 1 person assist to transfer. We attribute her improved health to the loving caretakers at StoryPoint and the hard work of the in-house OT, PT, and Speech Therapy professionals.

The staff is friendly. The Enhanced care staff is willing to anything you ask. They are friendly, kind and supportive. The food varies from being excellent to just okay. The apartment is a nice size. Bedrooms are adequate. Housekeeping keeps the apartment looking clean. My parents have not taken advantage of the activities so I cannot comment on them. Overall we ate pleased with the accommodations and staff.

5's all the way around! Staff treats mom like family. They keep me abreast of any problems with her health . Keep the residents engaged in projects, road trips and activities/ exercise classes.

My husband and I really enjoyed living at Springwood! It is a warm, friendly and active community. You can participate as much or little as you want. Lots of opportunities to go off the property for planned events such as pontoon boating at Portage Lakes, Winery visit, Penninsula train ride, just to name a few! [name removed], the Director, is amazing! We moved out due to a temporary relocation, but plan to return in the future! I highly recommend!

I can't say enough about the great experience we had while living at the Springwood luxury community! From day one, the Manager made us feel right at home in our new surroundings. The manager couldn't do enough to ensure our move in went smoothly. The amenities the Springwood had to offer were above our expectations in every way. The manager had an open door policy for the residents which really made us feel a part of the community! I highly recommend the Springwood for all it has to offer.

The staff has been extremely friendly every time we've visited the facility. We are impressed that they always know us, who we're there to visit, they know my dad, what he's been up to and usually can tell us exactly where he is at the moment if he's not in his room. My dad always tells us that the food is like eating in a restaurant every day. He is always buying little treats to give to the cleaning ladies because they do such a good job on his room and are so nice to him. We consistently receive calls or e-mails if anything is going to be different or if there are any concerns. We truly cannot say enough good things about Danbury and how well they've helped my dad integrate into their facility. As for recommendations for improvement, our only concern was that the cost was increased by 8% this year. That was quite a large leap. My dad is already straining the limits of his budget and we hope that any future increases, if needed, are more moderate. We would be crushed, as would he, if he were priced out of being able to afford to stay there. It's been a great experience for him.

Toured this place for my in-laws. All the bells and whistles you can ask for. Friendly staff, very clean and neat. We will definitely take the next step.
