My mom moved in to Storypoint's assisted living about a month ago. I've been impressed with the friendliness of all of the staff and of the other residents as well. The food is amazing! I like that fact that she has her own private apartment, while still having access to the assistance she needs with personal care and mobility.

I'd give them all 5s except food. I'd give that a 3. What we like the most about the community is that the people were friendly and caring, it was clean, nicely decorated. Yes, we would recommend Danbury Huber Heights to other families based on the experience

My mom and our experience is just shy of 2 months in. The facility is like the tv show Cheers. Everybody knows your name.

I was living alone and realized that I could not always do that. Therefore, I visited Danbury, moved in when an apartment was available, and am extremely happy with my decision. Danbury offers all that I need in my “declining” years: wonderful health care when needed, laundry and apartment cleaning provided, a variety of socialization activities, and most of all, a selection of menu choices in the dining room. I know of no other facility that offers a selection of food items. If we don’t like the day’s “special,” then what about a hamburger or hot dog? I highly recommend Danbury.

From the moment you walk in, this senior assisted living community truly feels like home. The environment is welcoming, comfortable, and filled with genuine care. The building is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to make residents feel safe and at ease. What truly sets this community apart is the incredible Life Enrichment program. There calendar shows something meaningful happening...engaging activities, social opportunities, and experiences that bring joy, purpose, and connection to each day.

My husband and I have been looking for assisted living facilities for his mom, who is 88 and needs some additional help. We almost did not go to StoryPoint-Canton, because we had visited a lot of locations, but we pushed through and we are glad we did. We (Mom included) ended up choosing this community and so far Mom is very happy and doing well. We have visited many times and so have some of Mom's friends and everyone has been pleased. We are always greeted pleasantly. The facility was very clean and all the staff are very friendly, attentive and listen to questions. I ask ALOT of questions and had no problem getting answers. We have had no concerns contacting staff members when needed. During the week there are multiple activities throughout the day, the weekend is a little less active, but there are still things going on. The meals are very good. We spoke with other residents and they had nothing but positive comments. We are so glad to have found StoryPoint-Canton!

I came to enjoy an activity with my family member, it was a great time! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. And the building is very spacious and cozy, making it easy to fit right in and enjoy the activities!

I am very pleased with the care and support that my grandmother receives at this facility from the staff and nursing team. My grandmother is 97 years old and is very active and involved in the community and the activities that are provided. She loves having lunch with her friends and enjoys dining in the restaurant area. She loves the chef and talks to me about her whenever I see her. Overall, prayers were answered when a space became available for my grandmother. Could not be happier.

My parents were in there and were treated with the utmost care the place was clean as wissle the nurses and support staff top notch the food was always good if not great better then the former nurse ing home they were in

Mom has been living at Danbury Mount Vernon Memory Care for almost 2 years now. She has been very happy living here. She has made lots of new friends and enjoys the daily activities throughout the day. The Nurses are excellent. They are skilled, compassionate and caring. We are a team when making medical decisions for Mom. I trust and value their input greatly. The Aides/Companions work the hardest to care for your family members at Danbury. We are fortunate to have the best young people in the Mount Vernon area caring for our family members every need. Activities are coordinated throughout the day- everyday. Exercise classes or beach ball volleyball, card games, sing alongs, bingo, live entertainment, scenic drives, trips to local restaurants, special themed festivals and even an occasional food truck. Food is very good (Mom has gained weight) with a nice varied menu throughout the week with alternate options always available if you don’t like a meal. Best in MT Vernon!

I visited a family member who lives here, the rooms are very spacious and up to date! Staff is an A+ always willing to help. Activities and food are amazing! The common areas are always cleaned and decorated nicely!

We have been here about 2 months and have found the residents and staff very friendly and helpful. Our apartment is a 2 bedroom with enough space to be very comfortable and relaxing. General housekeeping is provided weekly which is a nice and welcome service. Laundry facilities available also.

Independence Village of Aurora is amazing! [name removed] at Independence has been very helpful and understanding of our needs. We know Independence Village of Aurora has everything my mother-in-law needs to help her be well cared for and to thrive.

She got the smallest studio and it was the perfect size for her. Everyone knows her name and checks in on her. Activities -(She won't really join in because that's not her personality but I have taken her to several events and was very pleased with them! Her friend goes to many activities and raves about it! The general area is very clean. She gets housekeeping every other week and it's pretty good but definitely dependent on which person does the cleaning. They sometimes miss doing many of the bathroom items, which I feel is probably the most important part.

Everyone there is very nice. My mom has one of the bigger apartments and it is great for her.

The community feels warm and comfortable, more like a real home than a facility. The staff are kind, attentive, and always make sure the residents feel at home. There’s always something going on, with a variety of activities and social events that give residents chances to stay active both physically and socially. The food has improved, with a variety of meals being added to the menu. The food is enjoyable and well made. Offering meals that residents look forward to.

The staff is flexible and helpful. It is always clean. They've handled several challenges with grace and empathy. The Staff is fabulous. I should have moved my mom in sooner.

Toured the community not too long ago, and not only is it a pretty place, but the residents seem to be very happy. It also looks like the activities department keeps them moving and engaged with all kinds of fun things to do and with outings! From arts and crafts, to exercise, to bingo, even the Casino?! Thumbs up Grace Haven!

[name removed], the administrator is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help in any way. She is a delight and can be found talking with staff, and visitors when she is away from her desk. Dale was very kind and helpful. The people who deliver meals are very friendly and often know he resident's preferences. The facility is always clean and bright. The residents seem happy. The room is the perfect size and my family member enjoys the activities.

We need to know the proper procedures for obtaining meals when we're not well, times and days for using the facility bus, better understanding of in-home (on-site) health care provisions and limitations, to name a few. Our building manager is poor at implementing and following-through on requested items he's promised to take care of.
