I have recommended Danbury to others. We picked this community over other places because they had hired the best people from the other establishments.

At age 88 my Mom got her first apartment in a independent senior living complex. She just recently turned 90 and moved to Story Point [date removed] of this year. The Staff and Managers where so helpful and the move was a great experience for her and our family. She uses the shuttle service and still has some independence and Corso Care for some extra needs that recently evolved! The food and dining, the music, movies and convience is getting routine and gives her plenty to do. I just enjoyed a wonderful summer evening on the balcony with her, and she really likes her apartment and lifestyle at Story Point!!!!

We love everything about the place. I cannot say anything bad. We would recommend Independence Village of Avon to other families based on the experience we have had so far!

She is so well taken care of . She always tells me everyone is so kind. Love that it is small and it's a Christian facility. Plenty of activities, like bingo ,exercises, crafts, and games.She has a very special diet and they are very accommodating.

The facility is nice, it's clean and maintained. It's a large facility so, they're always doing maintenance to keep it that way, however, it's not a bother. The staff is friendly, caring and kind. There are so many activities to do, my mother is always busy. She loves it there and has made many new friends. The care she's getting in assisted living is good. Once we worked out all the bugs, it's seamless and I trust them to care for her properly. The food is usually good, as with anywhere else, they have their amazing dishes and some just average. The wait staff is wonderful and very friendly. The dining rooms are clean and well staffed.

The grounds are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There’s lots of activities also. There are multiple choices for meals every day. I’m so happy I came here and wish I’d come a few years earlier. I have made so many friends here. I have no family in Ky but I consider these friends as family.

A beautiful facility with extraordinary staff and service when we needed guidance and reassurance with a big life change. They worked with us to make sure the move in and transition was going to be successful. It gave me a great deal of peace of mind that my loved one would have the best retirement possible. We are truly grateful.

My husband and I toured several senior living communities and found storypoint the best fit for my mother who had livid with us for seven yesrs. My mother made the choice after we talked to the awesome staff and discussed with her.its been awesome ,we are very happy for her. [name removed] ARE GREAT PEOPLE AS WELL AS THE STAFF.

This community is truly amazing. They are an "all hands on deck" community and love the residents and treat them like family. Everyone is always so pleasant and helpful. I always feel welcomed when I am there!

I think the condition of the small things of the condo could've been a little better. There's some things I think with the screen and fingerprints on windows that weren't completely cleaned before moving in. LOVE that there's variety in choices for food. Mom was at a different place prior with no options. For activities, she loves her euchre games.

Everyone goes above and beyond and does what needs to be done. Everything like food is furnished and I don't have to do anything if I don't want to.

The only drawback is they do not offer transportation within the facility to accommodate the residents to get to doctor's appointments etc... Due to our father's physical and mental status, he can't go unattended. We struggle getting him to his appointments if we are unable to take him. I know some facilities have a van and staff. Other than that, it is a great facility with good administration that goes beyond their scope to make his stay comfortable and safe.

Without a doubt, StoryPoint Rockford is the most caring, safest home for my parents, both of whom live in the Memory Care Neighborhood. Every person my parents and I have met associated with their care truly knows them. They know my mom drinks her coffee hot, black, and adds two ice cubes. They know to whom my father refers when he speaks of "The Admiral." Every person my parents know loves them. When the care team learned of my mother's recent terminal diagnosis, they became emotional. When my father becomes aggressive, they work tirelessly to placate him, learning why he's behaving the way he is. My parents are safe. They are comfortable. They will never face their declines alone, and they are never seen as "disabled." The staff works tirelessly to maintain my parents' dignity, physical and emotional health. My family will be forever grateful to StoryPoint Rockford staff for caring for and loving on my parents.

We helped our 93-year-old aunt move to Independence Village. She now has the opportunity to meet new people, walk to and from the dining room, participate in exercise classes, and enjoy the special events. The food is wonderful.

New chef has a tough act to follow, and is still improving. Higher prices have forced him to change vendors for the worse. This has not been helpful. Food can vary from ok to very good, and what you receive may not exactly match the menu description, but generally it's good. Care services are good, but aides need better training before being thrown into the more customized, bordering on medical, services. They could use two groups of aides based on skill level.

The staff are very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make [name removed].feel at home. The amenities are great. The facility is newer and very modern; kept clean. They have great activities and socials. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking to move to assisted living.

My mom moved into assisted living And has truly had a wonderful transition. The staff is phenomenal, very caring and responsive. She has raved about the food and has started joining some activities, Choices of which are plentiful The grounds and common areas are meticulous.

I placed my mom at this location 2 years ago. She immediately felt at home and got involved. A wonderfully pleasant place to be for the aging. She was surrounded by loving, caring people.

They are very professional, polite, and care to my needs. The community is very neat and always clean. The food is outstanding and they have great selections. They make everyone feel at home and in my opinion. This is great for all resident. I found a great place to live.

My experience has far exceeded any expectation I had for senior living community. Story Point is truly a family. We play, laugh, celebrate grieve and mourn together, residents and staff. The variety of programming keeps me busy on terms. The staff is professional compassionate and caring.
