My wife and I particularly like the social events like wind down wed and happy hour Friday. Margarita Monday it gives us the opportunity to meet other residents and enjoy a cocktails or two.

I have lived in this community for two and a half years. I have lived in Enhanced Care and Independent Living. This is truly a close community a family and home away from home.

For the most part, we have had very positive experiences at Independence Village of Traverse City. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The dining experience is sometimes slow, but the food is good. I feel my father-in-law is in a good place.

They are awesome! They are very family oriented, kind and supportive. My mom was in a one bedroom apartment and it was perfect for her. She had a stove, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and standing shower.

Forest Glen has a honey feel and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are impeccable and so kind and loving. Staff goes above and beyond for every resident. From kitchen staff to care staff every staff member goes about their job with the care and wellbeing of every resident in mind. There is no better place than Forest Glen.

My sibling adores the caregivers, they pay a lot of attention to him. For activities, he tells me he has nothing to do. I know that's wrong. He just doesn't seem to want to participate. For value for cost, What can I say? Bottom line: he needs what you can provide and it's easy to see he is happy at Glen Oaks. He pays a lot and he gets a lot! He doesn't complain.

I must say Forest Glen is much more than I imagined. I was visiting a loved one from out of state. The assisted living rooms are spacious and clean. I was surprised at how spacious. The community area was very clean. The grounds were clean. The outdoor sitting area was clean and easily accessible. Thank you to the staff whom my loved one absolutely adores. I feel my loved one is safe.

I went to visit my grandmother for what I thought would be a short visit ended up half the day. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. All the staff was so polite and genuinely kind. My grandmother was in high spirits and excited about a Halloween activity happening there soon. Thank you all for a wonderful visit!!!

My grandma lived at Forest Glen Assisted Living. She was quite the spitfire and the staff and management handled it so well! The administrator would even go talk with her and calm her. They try their absolute best to accommodate the residents in every way no matter what! They truly love their residents and the bonus families that come!

Things are going well. You have been taking great care of us. My wife us eating better here. We get walks to the DR and she is walking better.

This Independent Village has exceptional staff and my apartment has been "just right. My husband died in May of last year. The staff and residents could not have have been more caring and supportive. Their response was a "gift" to our family.

Based on the experience we have had with Provision Living at East Lansing, I would give them a 5+. I think it is a wonderful place and I would recommend them to other families.

Good experience. Small facility. Kind and caring staff. My Family member was able to be discharged after properly therapeutic on meds. Home with assistance for now.

I stopped by to visit a friend last week and was pleasantly surprised. The community is beautiful and everyone we interacted with was positive. The residents shared that they had a great night at the social house with a fire and smore with several friends and neighbors. It is great opportunity for residents to interact.

My cousin was only there for 8 days before she went to hospital hospice and passed away Pricey for eight days but that was bad turn of events and minimum contract times. It was a great experience and the whole staff is welcoming, concerned and professional! Beautiful facility.

They are really nice and they are actually really encouraging my brother to GO to functions and exercise. Food is good. Place is clean and safe.

We are very happy with all the improvements Story Point has made.

Overall the experience for my parents has been exceptional. Sure, there are times when things aren't perfect and that's to be expected. When there is an issue it is addressed immediately. The one thing I notice every time I walk through the door is how friendly everyone is. You are always greeted by the staff at the front desk and if folks are sitting out front everyone says hello. There is always something going on and quite the variety of activities to choose from if you want to participate. My parents have had several health issues this past year and the care they have received is exceptional. I know they are being taken care of and that alone has taken a lot off my shoulders. Regarding cost. I think it's very fair.

The facility and staff are great, the problem is complex. Accommodations must be made to fully integrate with the facility. Trust and communications are key on both sides. Work on both.

Rent plus utilities, cable, meals and activities is reasonable at $[removed]. But Story Point uses a 3rd party to provide care for their residents. [removed] (3rd party providing care) workers are kind and professional. They offer menus of care in which services can be chosen at a daily rate. They also have a menu of extra charges for services not delineated on the menu...for example, my mother in law tripped and bumped her elbow. [name removed] charged an extra $[removed] for that day for "an extra person to escort her to her meals." If she pulls the emergency pull cord in her room, it is $[removed] per occurrence and so on. This in on top of the $[removed] a day charge.
