I toured Broadway proper a while back looking for a place for my mother. I scheduled an assessment for my mother to have her placed on extra services to ensure her safety and to move forward with the move in. During the assessment, the Director of health services seemed rude and irritable the entire time like she didn’t want to be there dealing with us. At the end of the assessment she informed us that she wanted to take over my mothers medications. When I explained to her that I handle my mothers medications for her she got defensive and started to make it sound like we had to give them the medications and we didn’t have a choice. This upset me greatly as I looked into my mothers rights and this is against it. I did not appreciate the plain rudeness this lady showed when we were not agreeable. Even though she is elderly she and I are still allowed to make decisions on her care without being reprimanded. Needless to say she did not move in to this facility.

Terrible experience. Person gunning the tour was rude and staff were not engaging with the residents. Unit I was shown was extremely small and quite expensive

This place is not as presented at all. The communication is horrible and it starts with the marketing person [name removed] who sold us a bill of goods. She needs to be re-educated on what to say and to tell the truth. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The assisted living is more like a nursing home. Activities are okay but not the best and the staff are friendly enough but lack compassion and empathy for people who are elderly and don't need to be yelled at because it is assumed they are deaf. I could go on and on but be sure to ask lots of questions and it possible talk with the residents randomly not pre arranged from management.

Management changes annually. Ducks are a problem leaving droppings everywhere, including the pool. They still have not fixed that problem. Food is sub par. Very high prices for what you get. Residents being treated like children, being sent to the "principal" if they complain. DO NOT COME HERE.

Absolutely no educated personnel or knowledge how to interact with Memory Care, dementia and Altzheimers patients! No respect or dignity extended to our elderly parents! It was heartbreaking. Constant medication errors, with dangerous potential outcomes. Please beware.

This place has gone extremely downhill with new ownership! They rolled out the red carpet to get us in there. Once my 92 yr old mother was in the care became totally apathetic! Multiple Medication errors and inconsistent accuracy with medications.potentially dangerous. The elderly is left sitting around with soiled diapers. This place cares more about projecting an outward opulent appearance rather than focusing on the great responsibility of caring for our parent that we intrusted to them. No empty or adequate education. We are having to move mom. Every time you relocate an Altzheimers patient the is some degree of decline for them. This is heartbreaking for us.

Our family entrusted our beautiful 92 yr old parent to this place. They roll out the red carpet initially. For the first month we thought we had chosen the very best place for our mom. That was not the case. Medication errors and inconsistent administering of medications is frequent!! The director gives nothing but excuses and talks in circles as he scribbles on his pad. He is not supportive to his staff and does not provide them with the tools and resources to deliver safe and adequate resident care. The focus here is on projecting an opulent outward appearance and not on delivering empathetic dignified care. A month into Clayton Oaks I had given it a glowing review, now 5 months later we are moving mom. Anytime you relocate an Altzheimers patient it results in some degree of decline. A heartbreaking consequence of keeping our mother healthy. ??

My loved one was only here for three days. When they initially evaluated him, they assured me that they would be able to care for him. However, it became clear very quickly, that that was a lie. My loved one needs assistance getting out of bed, and he isn't very heavy. Still, the staff at The Groves were not equipped to help him. Instead, they told him to just stay in bed. They did not help him up, they did not change him, and they did not move him. I was able to take him out of The Groves, but when all was said and done, my loved one had pressure sores, cuts, and little dignity. I absolutely cannot recommend this community to others after the experience we had.

The worst care I have ever experienced in my life! If you care about your loved one who actually needs ANY medical care.... I urge you to look outside the tour, on the non wealthy side. Awful care. Yes it looks nice. But, if you truly want professional care... You can barely get help when your loved one truly needs it!

We were not happy with the care with this community. The price went up after we moved in and signed a contract. They withheld his medication due to incorrect or orders, his medication was missed. The medication management was terrible. They were not assisting him in personal needs. The caregivers were not attentive. The management was terrible.

We have been very disappointed with the level of care in the memory care unit at The Oaks. A few of the aides are friendly but the rest are not. There isn't much interaction between the caregivers and residents. The food isn't as good as on the assisted living side. Personal items are continually being lost. It is not the warm and friendly environment we were hoping it would be.

Having had spent a lot of time with my parent at this facility in their memory care while locating a better facility for her, I saw a lot of neglect. Residents are not looked after, cared for or treated with the kind of respect they inform you they will. The small staff they have are clearly not trained to handle the special nature of an Alzheimer/Dementia patient. Don't believe the sales tactics they use ... they are NOT an all level care facility for Alzheimer's. Barely a level 1 facility. There are better facilities that you can trust and have comfort that your loved one is being taken care of properly ... Atria is NOT IT!

I wanted to see how this community operates so I called to schedule a tour. I was unable to get a hold of any staff and I felt we were playing phone tag by the end. I feel they could have done better trying to communicate but overall I was not happy with the beginning interaction.

I had not lived at Parklane long before I realized that they were more interested in getting people into the facility than in actually meeting the needs of residents. This was not the active senior community I had anticipated. Several residents seldom, or never, left their rooms. Others had aides from a few hours per day to 24/7. Many meals were under par, and walkers were everywhere! I am too old to move again, but with steep annual price increases and the lack of concern for residents, I feel this was a bait and switch operation. I do not recommend this facility to others.

They raised rates 7.5% this year without warning, discussion, or with any justification provided. This is equivalent of a doubling of rates in 8 years. Food is sometimes good, but often marginal. The quality of some of the "ingredients" is not good. After a big showing of care to get residents enrolled, the care factor disappears. The bookkeeping procedures are dismal, prone to error, and out of the last century. Maintenance is slow and many needed repairs go unaddressed for months. The atrium and entry are very attractive; beyond that the halls are drab and dark. Reaching any meaningful level of management to discuss issues is impossible. I would not recommend Parklane to others.

The assessment process wasn't very thorough. Shortly after moving in they asked us to move, because they were not able to take care of my loved one. The nurse there was very rude. We did not have a good experience here at all. I would not recommend them.

3/13/15 I left Heritage Palmeras on Dec 1, 2014 with a credit balance on my account of $383. I have contacted them several times re a refund and so far have not received it. I find this to be poor service.

I only looked at the assisted living portion of Pueblo Norte and I would not put my loved ones in that building. It seemed like a prison. Dreary and sad. There was practically no place for the seniors to go to outside of their apartment. The dining room was just a small room that looked like a converted bedroom. The people who lived there did not seem happy. It only took me fifteen minutes to know that I wouldn't be placing my parents there. They need to make the building more cheerful and have a decent dining room for the seniors.

Don't be fooled by the nice look of this place or the salesperson trying to get you to sign up. You will regret putting your loved one here, and it will be heartbreaking. We thought this would be a safe place for our mother, it is not! They are short staffed and there is high turnover, so residents in Assisted Living have to wait a very long time for a caregiver to come help. The call system is useless and rarely works properly. There are constant medication errors at Clayton Oaks. They allow unqualified people to distribute medicine, because they have very few trained staff. In Memory Care, residents are either parked in front of a TV for hours, or left alone in bed with soiled clothes and missing meals because it's easier for the caregivers to just leave them there. The staff has no empathy for them. Many of the residents have fallen and broken bones. Family members install cameras in the rooms, and have watched helplessly as their parent was treated with neglect. Clayton Oaks had a major COVID outbreak and at least nine residents tested positive, and many staff members. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Your parent will quickly experience major decline if you admit them here. I hope my review can save at least one person.

The management was replaced 1 1/2 years. With the new management it is awful. Every week it seems thing get worse. The food is awful and since covid It was the worse everything. Everything is brought in. Almost nothing is home made. Many people move in and move out within 6 months. Activities were the only good thing, but every time we get an activities director they, quit. There is hardly any people here that worked for former management. There are very few good things I can think of. I've been here a long time and hate to move because of the friends I've made but soon it may be necessary.
