They hire unqualified help that don't care and not enough hires at that. The ones that do care end up with all the work. My mother was in memory care. With the money being charged for that, It's time the marketplace upgrades that type of care all the way around. They had an almost complete turnover of staff while my mother was there 5 months.

The staff was great when we got there. Then they hired a new executive manager and she got rid of so many staff members that were great. For budget cuts whatever. The food was better with the first cook when we got there. So many things changed that's why we left .

The room size is satisfactory, I had a one bedroom. The staff was friendly. Personally, I liked [community removed] better, but I would recommend the Forum

Communication was difficult between different departments. Memory care was different than the assisted living as far as participating in extra activities.

Though it's not perfect, it's by far the best place I've seen. The residents and staff are wonderful and it's a rich, caring environment.

In the [time frame removed] that my mother has been a resident there was a permanent director for only 2 months. An interim director in place for 10 months. Felt much like a rudderless ship ..still no permanent director. Lots of staff turnover in one year and many residents have moved away because of unhappiness with many aspects of the community. Food is very institutional with too many carbohydrates. As my mother's POA the requests I've made for her food are not consistently followed. Medical staff is not aware of local resources for mobile lab work and not able to direct out of states toward local medical resources. The orientation did not cover much of the rules and procedures of the community. It was up to me to "discover" much about the workings of the community.

Willow Court. Overall. 3. She was in assisted living. They had a number system. Higher number more care and greater cost. Never could tell what she was getting for the money. For profit company and they charged for everything. 2. Cleanliness. 3. Cleaned her room once a week. Not enough. We would clean at least once a week ourselves. Overall. Place was pretty clean. 3. Friendliness. 4. Quality of care. 3. 5. Administrative staff. 3. Mostly ok. Depended on who you dealt with. 6. Food. 5. Really good over all. 7. Activities. NA. My Aunt was not interested. 8. Value. Initial value was good. But they charged for everything. Laundry. Meals for family very high. She needed more care so the price became much higher.

They are badly understaffed and quality service not great. At times its adequate, at other times its poor. The food is not that good. The food can be on the cooked or uncooked side, they don't have enough servers so the food comes to the table cold and that makes it unappitizing. They recently had a Norovirus outbreak and did not tell the families by text for 3 days.

Residents are very friendly as are the majority of the staff. They are often out of menu items. The dining room is often overcrowded. Pets( both dogs and cats) are also very welcome by both staff and residents.

The place looks beautiful and welcoming. The other residents were friendly. It was more "independent living" than assisted living. Unfortunately my mom was left alone in her room for long periods and wasn't checked on frequently. My mom needed more assistance, so she transferred to memory care which has been a better fit. I wish San Martin was more proactive in getting residents to socialize around meal times. Many residents sit alone. I didn't see staff being very social with the residents, or even each other. There was as a lack of community in the building.

This facility is nice in most respects. It does need some upgrades and repairs, but the worst part is the food. It does not meet anybody's dietary requirements. The people who prepare it I don't think have ever prepared food before it is unappetizing to say the least there is almost no fresh fruits or vegetables. The food is not served hot so this could create medical problems. our new executive director is trying her best, but she has corporate to deal with.

Communication has been difficult, at times. And staff has failed to execute on most of the things they initially said they would help with. My impression is that the staff is undertrained and lacks skillsets I would expect for the price. That being said I don't really have anything to compare it to, so I may be imagining a level of service and skill that does not exist in this marketplace.

Facility was kept clean and rooms were maintained. Need more supervision outside of main hours.

The community and facility itself are lovely and conveniently located near Norterra shops. The place has nice decor, friendly front staff, and is very inviting. My concerns are more on the Memory Care side, where the staff seems limited and very busy taking care of the late-stage residents or those who require a lot more care, leaving the limited high-function residents with nothing to do but sit around the TV even though the website says daily engaging activities. The food is advertised with the following quote: "Our daily menu is curated by our experienced chef and includes unique specials..." This is not the case in MC, as the food is subpar and, at times, inedible, which, for the monthly cost of MC, things should be far better. Follow-thru is also something that needs improving, and they advertised that a family member does not have to give up their pet, but they do! $[fee removed] p/m for what is more like room and board is egregious. I will say the majority of the consistent staff are won

I no longer live there and I know management has changed. I miss Thunderbird Senior Living, but I am where I am supposed to be. Highly recommended for active seniors.

Many changes have been made by the new management. First the kitchen was remodeled. It took several weeks which understandably caused a lot of inconvenience for residents. Now they are having major phone issues. Dropped calls, one party can't hear the other, calls don't connect. For almost 3 months now without a solution. This is dangerous. Also with the change in management came changes in bookkeeping practices. It took months before my loved ones were charged rent. Double rent in one month could be a hardship for people on fixed income. The interior is in the process of being repainted. New artwork is being installed. New furniture is in the lobby. Big deal. This is just superficial stuff to make relatives and visitor think highly of the environment. The cleaning staff does not to a good job. They come every 2 weeks. Often when visiting I will wipe the floor and the paper towel is dirty. Or paper on the floor is there for weeks. The front desk and management staff are unwilling to do anything extra. My loved one had a package delivery sit at the front desk for days. Now the policy is that residents must pick up their packages upon notification - even if it is at 8:30 pm. Many residents have walkers and mobility issues. Plus every resident walks past the desk at least twice a day. There really is not much care. Unless a resident is in the memory care program. My loved one recently changed apartments and took many attempts for things to be fixed/working. Unfortunately the service at mealtime has not improved. It often takes 30 minutes from order to serving. Still having a problem with service staff turnover. Still having problems with not being able to serve what is on the pre-planned menu. Still having problems running out of food - particularly basics like butter, orange juice, and bread. Also, they (like they former management company) still have meals that are served "buffet style." This is a ridiculous and dangerous situation when more than half the residents have mobility issues. There are internal activities for people who sign up. Not many outside activities available. The rent keeps going up and the service level keeps going down. At the end of the day, if my loved ones hadn't been living at Thunderbird for [date removed] and, weren't on their way to assisted living, I would never keep them at Thunderbird. I would never recommend them to anyone who cares about their family members. I am continuously advocating for my loved one. This is not a good place. My personal experience with Thunderbird Senior Living has been very unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend them.

They are slow waiting for "corporate" to ok anything. Landscaping was not up to par. Activities was great. Food good only about 3 days a week. They did have the lowest rent then other places. You get what you pay for.

I would love if they incorporate a physical fitness program where they brought in a physical fitness person twice a week. Everyone is friendly and nice except one waitress that my mom tangles with once in a while. They have a cleaning person clean my mom's room once a week. They also wash her sheets and towels for her and makes her bed each week with clean sheets. My mom is still independent so she doesn't require much care. This is the one area that my mom complains daily about the food. They tend to run out of the good food choices quickly so by the time she comes down to eat they are not edible. The vegetables tend to be mushy and have no taste. Sometimes the food choices are not edible. She will always eat dessert though. They need to offer more activities. Bring in more entertainment and get them out of the facility more also it would be nice if the could have shuttle service on Sundays so that she can find a church near by to attend. Her rent was just raised $[removed] a month and while this is her first rent hike I feel it is high based on the things she is offered.

This place is a holding cell, but maybe others are not much better. As one of the nicest staff members told me.."they don't get better." The staff is nice, but not much stimulation or anything - but the residents are pretty much "gone" and gradually getting worse.

The director does not communicate well and they are understaffed, especially in the evenings. The food in the brochure is not what is served. It's not gourmet by any means. They run out of food that's on the menu all the time. They have activities but lately the activity will say "self ran". They need to encourage residents to be active and do more hands on activities to facilitate relationships inside the facility so they are not lonely. My loved one is very lonely there. She said nobody participates in anything.
