We chose The Springs of Scottsdale because of the proximity to family & friends in Scottsdale area & value proposition. Messages left for management via whomever answer the phone are not often returned. 2nd calls and emails often not returned.

Staff were all very attentive and very nice. Her apartment was the perfect size for her needs. Food/dining was good. I would give the food a rating of 3.5 She wasn't there long enough to really join into any of the activities. Housekeeping was good, however I don’t believe that they ever changed her sheets, even though her plan included laundering bed linens. She ended up washing them herself.

Staff is friendly and attentive to resident's needs. They know resident's names and have positive interaction with all who are there. Activities are varied and consistent. They offer a fitness class almost every day, along with games (physical and mental). They also provide field trips and shopping/dining out excursions. Food/dining is very good and nutritious with some pretty good size portions. The menu includes a Special and then other standard options. Apartments come in a couple of configurations-studio, one bed, and two bedrooms. My sister is in a one bedroom (queen bed, chest, lampstand, large closet) unit with bath (low threshold tub/shower) and small kitchen (electric stove, fridge, sink w/disposal), and living room (small sofa, chair, TV stand and small dining table/chairs). Including emergency call system. The facility itself is an older/ refurbished building fitted with elevators and stairs. Small pets are allowed and there is an outside garden area, too.

Our father has been at Lakewood Reserve for two months. He is doing well. The staff are all kind and supportive; he likes the food. He is safe and adjusting to his new home. My only negative critique is the lack of follow through on requests and commitments. We have had simple maintenance requests - like a running toilet- in for two months that haven’t been taken care of yet. We have requested it at least 5 times and it still is running with a slow fill. Other staff will promise to get back in 24 hours on something, and a week or more goes by and no reply. So it is an over promise and under deliver problem. I think it is simply a problem of too much to do with too few people. These are small problems and the most important to us is our father’s safety and well being, and Lakewood Reserve provides this for Dad.

Park Lane is close to all that downtown Salt Lake has to offer in a Hotel like environment with the added support of provided services like housekeeping and meals. Families can have price of mind when there loved one is living here.

I really like Best Creek but most of all, mom likes Bear Creek. She seems like a whole different person. She's well fed, happy, has people to talk to, meets new people daily and enjoys visiting ones she's shared a meal with before. She takes a pan and paper with her to renege who she meets new at each meal. Her meds are regulated and she doesn't just sit and watch the game channel all day. She hangs her clothes in the closet (She wasn't doing this at home). She's dressed in nice outfits everyday, doesn't talk about pain with every step either. I'm happy that's she is happy!!!

The staff is great - they are friendly too, as are the residents. I would recommend this community to others.

The apartments are very nice, the staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue is with service in the dining room. The quality and quantity of food is fine. The service however is terrible.

Overall the facility was clean and well organized. Staff was pleasant but a bit understaffed. Tons of activities. The dining environment and service was good but the food was bland and mom wouldn't eat. Had to bring in food.

The staff are not always timely in responding to emails, but very responsive to calls or in person conversations. The staff are very friendly. The facility does not have alot of on-site amenities like a salon for hair or mani/pedis. But you can arrange for on-site service from outside providers. They only clean the apartments once a week so be prepared for that. Wifi and cable are provided and work well.

As a daughter I have peace of mind knowing my father is in a safe place and is able to have his needs met while retaining his independence. I would definitely recommend Thunderbird to others. They have a lot of options for additional services and care needs. The community is also very active for those that want to keep up a social life.

[name removed], one of the employees tasked to introduce Thunderbird to potential residents is incredible. She is very personable, knowledgeable, knows all of the residents by name and is super energetic.

The staff is excellent, they have good facilities, it's not really set up for someone with [name removed] level of disability.

They are very pleasant, friendly, and courteous at all times!

They have a new director and a new health & wellness director. So as of 2 months ago I can say 4. Before that not so much. New community director and new health & wellness director are fabulous. We were not confident with our moms care before, but the new hires have turned it around and are fully transparent & hold themselves to a higher standard. Caretakers have always been kind and loving. Food is delicious.

North Star was very clean and bright. The staff was friendly and helpful. They looked after the residents. The only negative thing I experienced as a family member was that it was difficult to get to eat with my sister who was a resident on the assisted-living side. There was limited seating which meant we had to walk to the independent living side, which was quite a distance for my sister.

For my sisters stay at Hunters Point Senior Living in Helena, l would rate it a 4 but I wasn't the one staying there. I had some meals there and they were good. What I say if activities was good. It was clean. People we nice. There were some communication problem between staff and us. Over all, I personally would stay there. My sister got worse and needs more care and attention.

Although month to month contracts can be a plus.. it is also helpful to verify the paperwork you sign is also as the pamphlet reads. The kitchen hours are definitely not what they advertise in their paperwork. They were supposed to also be extending kitchen hours later into the evenings however they are no longer even considering that nor had they ever done that.

I would highly recommend TSL for any aging adult! It’s a very active place if that’s what you want or peaceful if you’d rather! The people working there are so welcoming and the tenants are mostly welcoming as well! The food in the dining room is good, has a nice selection and pretty open times to eat which is great!

Great food, Great activities, Helpful staff, friendly, interesting and friendly residents rooms are efficient and pleasant.
