We were not happy with the care with this community. The price went up after we moved in and signed a contract. They withheld his medication due to incorrect or orders, his medication was missed. The medication management was terrible. They were not assisting him in personal needs. The caregivers were not attentive. The management was terrible.

We have been very disappointed with the level of care in the memory care unit at The Oaks. A few of the aides are friendly but the rest are not. There isn't much interaction between the caregivers and residents. The food isn't as good as on the assisted living side. Personal items are continually being lost. It is not the warm and friendly environment we were hoping it would be.

Having had spent a lot of time with my parent at this facility in their memory care while locating a better facility for her, I saw a lot of neglect. Residents are not looked after, cared for or treated with the kind of respect they inform you they will. The small staff they have are clearly not trained to handle the special nature of an Alzheimer/Dementia patient. Don't believe the sales tactics they use ... they are NOT an all level care facility for Alzheimer's. Barely a level 1 facility. There are better facilities that you can trust and have comfort that your loved one is being taken care of properly ... Atria is NOT IT!

I wanted to see how this community operates so I called to schedule a tour. I was unable to get a hold of any staff and I felt we were playing phone tag by the end. I feel they could have done better trying to communicate but overall I was not happy with the beginning interaction.

I had not lived at Parklane long before I realized that they were more interested in getting people into the facility than in actually meeting the needs of residents. This was not the active senior community I had anticipated. Several residents seldom, or never, left their rooms. Others had aides from a few hours per day to 24/7. Many meals were under par, and walkers were everywhere! I am too old to move again, but with steep annual price increases and the lack of concern for residents, I feel this was a bait and switch operation. I do not recommend this facility to others.

They raised rates 7.5% this year without warning, discussion, or with any justification provided. This is equivalent of a doubling of rates in 8 years. Food is sometimes good, but often marginal. The quality of some of the "ingredients" is not good. After a big showing of care to get residents enrolled, the care factor disappears. The bookkeeping procedures are dismal, prone to error, and out of the last century. Maintenance is slow and many needed repairs go unaddressed for months. The atrium and entry are very attractive; beyond that the halls are drab and dark. Reaching any meaningful level of management to discuss issues is impossible. I would not recommend Parklane to others.

The assessment process wasn't very thorough. Shortly after moving in they asked us to move, because they were not able to take care of my loved one. The nurse there was very rude. We did not have a good experience here at all. I would not recommend them.

3/13/15 I left Heritage Palmeras on Dec 1, 2014 with a credit balance on my account of $383. I have contacted them several times re a refund and so far have not received it. I find this to be poor service.

I only looked at the assisted living portion of Pueblo Norte and I would not put my loved ones in that building. It seemed like a prison. Dreary and sad. There was practically no place for the seniors to go to outside of their apartment. The dining room was just a small room that looked like a converted bedroom. The people who lived there did not seem happy. It only took me fifteen minutes to know that I wouldn't be placing my parents there. They need to make the building more cheerful and have a decent dining room for the seniors.

Don't be fooled by the nice look of this place or the salesperson trying to get you to sign up. You will regret putting your loved one here, and it will be heartbreaking. We thought this would be a safe place for our mother, it is not! They are short staffed and there is high turnover, so residents in Assisted Living have to wait a very long time for a caregiver to come help. The call system is useless and rarely works properly. There are constant medication errors at Clayton Oaks. They allow unqualified people to distribute medicine, because they have very few trained staff. In Memory Care, residents are either parked in front of a TV for hours, or left alone in bed with soiled clothes and missing meals because it's easier for the caregivers to just leave them there. The staff has no empathy for them. Many of the residents have fallen and broken bones. Family members install cameras in the rooms, and have watched helplessly as their parent was treated with neglect. Clayton Oaks had a major COVID outbreak and at least nine residents tested positive, and many staff members. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Your parent will quickly experience major decline if you admit them here. I hope my review can save at least one person.

The management was replaced 1 1/2 years. With the new management it is awful. Every week it seems thing get worse. The food is awful and since covid It was the worse everything. Everything is brought in. Almost nothing is home made. Many people move in and move out within 6 months. Activities were the only good thing, but every time we get an activities director they, quit. There is hardly any people here that worked for former management. There are very few good things I can think of. I've been here a long time and hate to move because of the friends I've made but soon it may be necessary.

The morning after we moved my mother into Courtyard at Jamestown Memory Care, my sister, her daughter-in-law, and my best friend walked in her room to find my mom with her head between the headboard and mattress. All the covers were on the floor, and she was covered in urine. She was cold, very scared, and confused. I would never wish this nightmare experience on anyone's loved one!

This was a HORRIBLE experience in which had been provided during my last month in which I paid for the entirety of my unit. The end date of my stay was to be 3/31/2020. On a Friday, 2 weeks before month end I was told to remove myself at that time even though I had paid the full amount. I was given my walking papers at that time WITHOUT notification ahead of time. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the upper management employed by the staff escorting me out of the residence at a given notice. Not only was I escorted from the premises BUT the higher chain of command should know that they just lost a resident whom was paying $2350 per month due to the action that the executive director took. I am in a better Senior facility at this time and DO NOT have to take up with the nonsense that occurred at Thunderbird Senior Living.

Please don’t have your love ones live at Atria Heritage. My Mom has lived here 5 years and since Atria has taken over the changes particularly the meal management have been horrible! The food quality and preparation is terrible. Many residents have complained to head chef, [name removed] and he told them there will be no changes made. They have also complained to upper management with no results. My family had Christmas dinner today and the steak was so tough it was impossible to eat. Several of the residents came by our table and said their dinners were dreadful! Arteria increased my Mom’s rent last year 6.5 percent and 11.6 percent this year!

My Grandma was living there until a few months ago after you all decided to change Management and a lot of staff. Pretty faces don’t make your business successful. The staff is not all the experienced there was no real nurse on the staff team just LPN which are not a real Nurse. The food has changed for the worse and the place is not clean silverware is always dirty or just maybe needs to be replaced. This place just does not seem to really care about there patients and the staff got worse since August or 2019 once all these changes took place. The Kitchen staff changed the nurses changed Med Techs do not know how to care for people. The you bring you complaints to the New General Manager an she just does not care. This place needs to take a deep dive into who is really running the OAKS

I have family there and since the place has changed management and staff in the last 6 months it’s falling apart the women running the place seems sweet but she is just trying to get people to move in. They over bill they do not care for the people living there the management is the worst I have ever seen before. The food has to be the worst. Silverware always dirty. The staff looks very nice but that comes with a price because it’s all smoke and mirrors to get your business. The place is dirty and you here the people complaining all the time and nothing ever gets resolved. We will be moving our loved one and I am sure there are others to follow I would never leave my loved on there.

My Father-in-law was in Bear Creek for 7 days with a broken leg. He died at the end of it all. Unfortunately, they are understaffed I guess and participate in a "pass the buck" workplace philosophy. I understand being busy but rudeness from the staff left our family frightened at the prospect of the lack of care he would receive because he is 80 and OCD. Our fears were confirmed when we came in the day before he died and a CNA came in placed his food by his bed and my husband said, he can't feed himself, it looks like he had a stroke!! The nurse looks down and says, yeah maybe he did. INCOMPETENT!!! So many more stories in those few short days. If you want your loved one mistreated or killed, send them to this 5 star [language removed].

My husband spent a few months here. Looking back, it was a nightmare. Valid reviews can hardly be submitted unless you've moved in. The building is attractive, and they can put forward a great face while trying to woo you. The real care is what matters, after move-in. I visited my husband every day, usually had dinner with him. More often than not, silverware and glassware were not clean. I complained to a kitchen worker several times. Finally he said, "We want you to be happy, but sometimes we don't even have hot water here." Seriously? One night at 1:30 a.m. my husband fell and got a bump on the head. I was called and immediately got up and went there (a 12-minute drive). There were 2 night caregivers for 40 residents. I found my husband in a straight chair in the hall outside of his room, all alone, and the two caregivers were in the TV room down the hall on their phones. All of the skin was off his knees down to the flesh. My daughter suggested it looked like he'd been drug along the floor. Some of the caregivers were good. Others not so good. Every invoice I received had an error...charges that they could not identify, so they crossed them off when I questioned them. Some of these kinds of places have a rule that there always has to be one caregiver with residents such as in the TV room or activity room at all times. Evidently that is not the rule at The Oaks. Often no worker was in the room with a large number of people. One woman fell out of her wheel chair on her face about once a week. The "nurse" (LVN) would often call paramedics to take residents across the street to the hospital asking that they be medicated for aggression, which is common in dementia. One of the paramedics said to me, "They do this all the time when they shouldn't. It's their business to take care of these people. I'm not going to medicate them. They can't run their own business. If they call us, we have to go. Do you know a new place is going up down the street?" I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. Keep looking and don't place a lot of value on reviews of those who haven't spent a fair amount of time in the facility, watching what's really going on daily. The activity director left a lot to be desired.

yeah RUN from this place. My mom was there and horrible treatment she got when she did get it. Their marketing department [name removed] called my mother and said "per your inquiry" we are calling you, we are going to send you info packet... Never was requested.. Leaving a message to an elderly person sending her info that suggests that someone is wanting or trying to place her in a home.. NOT EXCEPTABLE

Not a place I would bring my grandma. The staff did not seem to know anything. The place was not very clean. We heard the entire staff has changed and the people that use to be there were great
