The facility could be cleaner. Carpet in hallways is dirty. Rooms could use a good mopping from time to time. Porches are not cleaned. Entrances...not front have dirty look to doors. Very few activities. Not sure if there is a new activities director yet? Food is not as good in the last several months. Other Residents have mentioned this as well.

My Mom had dementia and wasn't receiving enough attention in the assisted living. She was taken to the ER 3 times. She never got see the podiatrist or get her hair cut. I cleaned her unit because it wasn't vacuumed and the toilet l was obviously dirty. Once no one took out the garbage or another time her laundry wasn't done. She stopped going to the dining room so they brought food to her but she didn't eat it. On her last trip to the ER t g ey diagnosed her with a failing heart and said she needed hospice. So I moved her to facility in Cincinnati. She's at [community removed]. It's costly room and board but they have their own listing Primary Care, Psychiatrist and Podiatrist. They have regular PT staff. Each floor has a head nurse, and assistant nurse and at aides. It's very nice. And it's what she needed. Maybe if she'd been moved to your Memory Care unit she'd have done better. With her failing heart and other medical needs, she's best at a nursing home with hospice services. I know it's difficult to hire good aides and housekeeping staff, but that is one major thing that would make your facility better. Also, if you have dementia folks, don't leave them sitting alone day after day. Personally I wouldn't recommend the facility at all and I'd never want to live there myself.

The apartments in the main building are larger than most. The villas are quite spacious including garage. The food service maintenance and activities. Short staffed.

It is a very nice facility. There is high staff and administrative turnover. Pharmacy challenges.

Ciel Senior Living of Collierville is a beautiful facility, but they seemed to be understaffed.

I wouldn't recommend Summer Vista to anyone who doesn't have access to another source of in-home nursing care. Though the facility has a 24 hour nurse on the property, response time has been slow. Once, my parent waited for a nurse, during an emergency overnight, for over 2 hours. Several days later, we waited for 45 minutes for one of the med techs to respond to a lanyard call button. When no one responded, I had to take action myself though I have no medical training. Also, the daily supply requests made by care staff can be surprising. I'm having trouble keeping up, and needs seem outsized at times. One carer implied taking toilet tissue for personal use is the norm, and that really had me scratching my head! Be prepared to bring one for your loved one, and another one for the staff.

There's a lot of caregivers that change frequently. It's impossible for one suffering with dementia to remember names and faces. These are all comments about memory care. AL might be a different story. Creekside provides great security for loved ones. Creekside does a Great job keeping the facility clean and safe for residents. Creekside has some great employees that truly care about the residents. (They have some duds, too.)

The caretakers and most of Nurses were great. The food was sub par. The facility's were beautiful but carpet inside memory. Care was not cleaned enough. The furniture inside memory care should not have cloth on the seats at all. They did have some good activities on the outside of memory care. They never took the patient on any kind of field trip the whole time my mom was there. They did not have hair salon on the premises where she was.. We had to travel quite a ways to go get her haircut to another facility. Her clothes were always taking care of in a good manner. They had very few activities for the memory care people themselves. the whole time my mom was there they had a activities director for about two weeks. Mainly all they did was sit in front of the TV in the lounge room. There should've have been more things to stimulate their minds. Also forgot to Add that your medicine plan was horrible and ended up costing my mom three times or more what her medicine was before she went in and also not being able to get a medication to use from the outside when you take the patient to the doctor or emergency care, it can take one to two days before they can even get their medication.

Our experience was very bad. Some of the reason was on HS. And, some of the reason was on my family. HS staff described/promised an apartment fully repaired and renewed. The HS staff called saying the apartment was ready and issued keys without doing all needed repairs. My brother in law, who is an inspector by nature, was first into the apartment. Seeing some legitimate issues, he and a friend went thru the apartment and made a list of complaints. Back at his home he emotionally described to my sister what he considered to be HS's incompetencies. She also became very upset and went and took photos. She showed the pictures to my parents while voicing her perspective of incompetence. Add to this the fact that a staff member left a scale extended into a hallway passage which caused my mother to fall. All these experiences eroded my parents' trust and comfort. So, they moved out after one night.

Currently there is no transportation available for individuals needing to run errands. Food is good. Advertised “coffee with administrators “ was not attended by administrator. Hopefully as I get acclimated to a new facility I’ll be happier

Its a nice place no big complaints other than i feel they could ask residents if they need help with tv, phone etc everyday. My mom doesn't ask because she thinks shes bothering them. It would also be nice if they would provide toilet paper.

I think they only cater to a few people. For instance they have happy hour six nights a week and provide residents and their guest two free drinks. I cannot drink alcohol or cola drinks so I really can’t participate. I ask that non alcoholic beer be provided, but evidently the social director thinks it is not necessary since non alcoholic beer is not available.Why am I and other non alcohol drinking residents subsidizing the alcohol drinkers? Food quality appears to be going down hill compared to wham I first arrived. A lot of time is spent waiting for servers to take your order and even longer for food delivery.

My only real comment is there's been a lot of staff turnover, and among the effects of that has been some discontinuity with coordinated activities, and also occasional disruption in dining room service. That's not intended to be interpreted as a full-throated complaint. It's just an acknowledgement that, yeah, they've had some growing pains, but it's ok.

I'd say they have lost a lot of their good CNA's. Very high turnover. New CNA's are not trained properly, they are minimum staffed which causes the caregivers to be overworked and quality of care suffers. Local management hands are tied because "corporate" controls staffing, salary, etc. Corporate is out of state and doesn't see the decline in every aspect of the facility.

We do not have anything to compare it to. She has only been at [facility removed]. But hearing other stories of other places they all seem to have the same issues.

We had high hopes that our dad would receive quality care at Westhill. He has lived there for 3 months and things went from good to bad. The director left a month ago and communication with the "interim" administration is minimal. I finally reached out to the management company after a real scare almost 2 weeks ago, where we almost lost our dad due to some serious issues. The facilty has SOME really quality caregivers from CNA's, to Med-Techs, to nurses and we are very grateful for those few. Unfortunately, they are understaffed, overworked, and underpaid. We are hoping that when the new director arrives in a couple of weeks "things" will improve. If not, we will have to do some soul searching and make a decision as to what is best for our dad.

The location seems to be a benefit to us and I think the price is reasonable. I am waiting to see if there is a large increase the first of the year as this new company took over in late February. The biggest issue we have is the food which is a major deal for seniors. I'm hoping to schedule a meeting with the director to see why they are doing some of the things. My loved one was offered a bologna sandwich for dinner last night which was not what they considered dinner.

The family needs to stay constantly involved in the care. DAILY! The family will be cleaning, removing trash, laundry regularly. Some more friendly, saw much turn over and short staffed. Most days I watched caregivers on their phones in hallways. Family member not given correct inhaler. Found family member in need of emergency care while "nurse manager" didn't seem to sure about situation. The meals seemed good most days. If you didn't eat in dining area you could barely get a sandwich. The activities seemed to have good variety. ALL assisted living is OUTRAGEOUS for the care provided. If your family member has to be hospitalized passed a few days you are REQUIRED to go to rehabilitation while still maintaining your room expenses as if you were there...it's up to their discretion whether you can return.

Note that my parents are no longer at Magnolia Bridge. Dad passed away in [date removed] and Mom is in a skilled nursing facility. However, the staff were very responsive and flexible in dealing with unusual needs. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families as always, strong advocacy is the key to a positive experience

Quality of the meals went down hill fast, currently not being given choices where there had been in past. Overall this is her 3rd facility in 7 years. All have been understaffed. All get you with same/similar sales pitch. You pay a lot of $$ for little assistance and the staff and management change frequently, likely because corporate keeps a higher % than they give to keep employees. Basically the people working there have good intentions but leave when they are spread too thin.
