The staff at Superior Residences is very caring and helpful to the residents. They offer excellent activities in memory care.

Our loved one didn't have any meals, she didn't do any activities and she was only there for a little less than a week.

Very nice place with lots of amenities. Food needs work.

I would probably rate them a four overall. They do keep the place very clean.. The food is really good and they do have a lot of activities for assistant living and they do try to involve the memory care as much as possible. The only problem that we have had, is that Yoshi has fallen in the floor many times. We have alarms in her bed, alarms in her chair and though the staff is very attentive, she falls before they can get to her. Like most places, no fault of Superior,, they are a little understaffed. The staff and workers are all very caring and understanding. They do try to work with you to figure out the best plan to keep your loved ones safe and secure and happy. Overall, [name removed] seems to be very happy in the memory care section and she has lots of friends. I would definitely recommend superior, to anyone looking for care for their loved one. Thanks again for helping us find a place for our love one.

In all honesty, this is the only place my mother was at, so I have nothing to compare it to. In my experience and my mother having a DNR, there were times I felt they should be more persistent with my mother who was refusing certain things like food or a shower. I now realize that to some degree it is the declining process and am not 100% certain to what degree of responsibility I should hold the caretakers. The staff was very friendly. I could call the nurses directly. There are plenty of activities and outings for them to participate in as well as hair services onsite.

Mom is safe and is happy but they are always short staffed so I feel at times we don't get what we pay for.

What our family likes the most about Anthem Lakes is the overall cleanliness, the staff stability, location and the food services. Based on the experience we have had we would recommend Anthem Lakes to other families.

We chose Creekside on Bardstown because of the friendliness of their staff. They were very welcoming and made you feel like you were at home. There are only a couple of workers who have been less than friendly.

It is a wonderful property, wonderful people, and engagement activities were available.

The food service is terrible. It was great. The activities remain good, but otherwise, it has tremendous management turnover and I keep hoping for better times ahead. Despite problems, I like living here and the price seems very competitive. There is a LOT of traffic noise in many of the apartments.

Safe environment and trustworthy staff. They need to use some imagination on their menu.

Communication between management and employees seemed lacking. Promises were made from the top but not carried out. The time we were there a new director was in place for only a few weeks. She was having a challenge trying to get the staff on board with what her vision was. I believe they indicated that 24 hour nursing was on site for assisted living but I didn't find that to be the case. My mom passed in [date removed] and we moved in [date removed] so we weren't there long.

Every thing is ok it's just it long to fix things my air condition unit have been out going on 4 months they said the company sent away for the part it's taking to long

My loved one is currently a resident at The Villas at Canterfield. The food would have had a higher rating , but my loved one has been saying repeatedly that the quality of the food has changed drastically since she first moved in. Apparently, it is a recurring theme every month when they have their meeting.

It is really expensive and my mother is running out of money I'm still working on VA benefits but if you know program that will help I would greatly appreciate it because I would love for my mother to stay there despite my rating like I said number one overall is very good

The public areas of the facility are very clean. They get a 5 on that. HOWEVER, it appears that at least some of the residents' individual rooms are not nearly as well tended. My mom's small suite clearly had not been cleaned in several months. The shower floor and mat in the bathroom had orange mold growing all over it. The kitchen sink had slime in it from lack of basic wipe down, the microwave had old crumbs in it that were clearly a few weeks old, the carpet had obviously not been vacuumed in weeks. My wife and I spent several hours correcting these deficiencies. When speaking with the staff we were told that a specific housekeeper on that floor is well known to be derelict in this way. The staff were informed that surprise inspections will be held going forward as mom is not getting her money's worth. The food is good for people of that age group. They all seem to like it. It's not as appealing to younger adults but then again, I'm not living there. From what I can tell from afar the activities seem to attract mostly the same cadre of seniors. Folks who would prefer to sit quietly in their rooms all day are left to do precisely that. On the one hand I can understand it, on the other I'd prefer they made an effort to appeal to a wider audience.

The staff is very caring and treats my loved one very well. The facility itself is very beautiful and centrally located so I enjoy visiting my loved one there.

The food in the Independent living building is very good and there are a lot of choices. The food on the Assisted living side is fair. The staff in both buildings are nice. The cleaning crew needs to be more attentive. As my mom moved from independent to assisted living, the communication on that process was lacking. I would recommend the independent living, but the jury is still out on my recommendation for the assisted living side. I just don't think that there is enough staff in assisted living.

Overall, Sunflower Springs is in very good assisted-living facility with dedicated -caring staff, good food, and regular activities that encourage community. The activities include shopping and eating out activities as well as repetitive activities and happy hours three times a week, often with music. The facility is clean as well. Check it out for your loved one.
