The facility is very nice & the staff friendly. Miscommunication about my father’s prescriptions & physical therapy made his transition very difficult. It took over a week to resolve these issues which was very disconcerting for him moving from a hospital to assisted living. Although the facility was not directly at fault we felt they could have been more proactive in alerting us & helping us resolve the situation.

I can only tell you what I'm told by my mother - she doesn't like the food and the activity are boring it could be a perfect place and she would still complain about it that's all I know thanks.

The staff is great. The facility is way too expensive. My brother is bedridden and by the time they bring his food it's usually cold.

I think for the price this place is great. The facility itself is very clean and all of the workers are super friendly. Never once did I see a worker on their cell phone which really caught my attention. Once my mom started declining, she needed more assistance and I feel like the attention was not given to her like it should have been. Also, please ensure that all of the paperwork is on file at all times.

I was pretty happy with my experience dealing with them. There was a change over in management the last half of last year. I'm pleased with the new facility director and D.O.N. They did some serious house cleaning of employees that were only there for the paycheck. The transition was tough, but the new employees seem very committed to serving the residents well. Neither one of my parents was able to participate in many activities due to health reasons, but there generally was something every day. They had a great variety for meals, and the kitchen staff were always accommodating. I guess I'm not sure they would have gotten better care at a more expensive facility. Of course, they knew me as I was in there several times a week.

Initially very friendly and responsive. Has declined a bit. Employees are very friendly. Others hide in office (according to name removed). [Name removed] says everything has gravy and the vegetables are mushy. I haven't tasted. [name removed] doesn't eat all her meals there, doesn't think they do a good job on her laundry, and they haven't repaired her refrigerator which she requested over a week ago. She has had to throw out food twice.

My husband needed more care than we could provide @ home. I toured the facility, & was impressed with the cleanliness & positive attitude of the staff. The residents seemed happy. The admission process went quickly, & [name removed] was efficient & helpful. [name removed], the head nurse has gone out of her way to ensure the safety & care of my husband. The aides are pleasant & compassionate with the residents. My only complaints are that there is noone to answer the phone @ night to check on your loved ones, & the food is sub-par & portions are small.

Not a lot of options for activities in memory care like they have in assisted living. Spacious facility with large rooms and private baths This is the main reason I chose them. The TV room is big, it's a decent walk to the dining area, with big open ceilings and lots of windows. My dad needs more walking not less. Carriage Hill is under new management and they are undergoing numerous changes. Our experience could be quite different over the next few months.

We moved from The Pointe a year and a half ago. The staff was friendly and generally responsive to concerns or work requested. Overall, a good place if one is active and self sufficient .

Overall, my experience has been positive. The primary staff is really friendly in getting you admitted but you don't hear much from them once you are admitted. The rest of the staff frequently interacts with the staff like the physical therapist and activity director. There has been problems with securing a chef, so the menu has suffered, but now they have a good chef and the food is good. The people in the community are friendly. The housekeeping crew is great and it is so helpful to have your apartment cleaned once a week. The place is immaculate and activities can keep you busy if you choose to participate . Overall, I rate Seabreeze an 8 out 10. I am happy with my apartment and am still adjusting. .

Overall smooth transition for my mom. There was some confusion with when and where my mom was receiving her medicine but the staff was quick to attend to it. Beautiful facility with many opportunities for socializing, staff is very approachable and willing to help.

They obviously have the basics down, react quickly to any problems, communicate well to staff and families, food and activities are matched well to all who live there. They are busy people but the make a full stop, look you in the eye & listen to the family's questions, will find an answer & give you the results.

A Place for Mom referred us. It was in the area mom wanted and the services were what we needed. It's like a cruise ship, 24/7. It's perfect. The only thing I would change is the washer/dryer machine in the apartments. It is useless and there is one traditional pair on the floor and is seemingly always in use. Laundry service would be great or washer dryer stand up in apartment.

Each category is a 4 from my perspective. I would say, however, that I give a majority of the staff members that I met or came across a 5 in the friendliness category. Each time I personally requested something via phone or email, my request was handled quickly and professionally. I was aware that there were many aspects of the business at Pioneer living that were in transition when my mom moved in. Including maintenance staff, etc. But our personal experience was very positive as some of the kinks were getting worked out. I will say that some of the back-and-forth and lag time were frustrating to my mother. My mother is a resident in one of the independent living cottages with an attached garage. In terms of cleanliness, I would rate her cottage a 3 overall as the floors were not clean, there were dead bugs in corners and a good bit of baseboard dust. On the positive side for cleanliness, the paint was fresh and her kitchen appliances were very clean. Her trash was picked up often and this is much appreciated. Mom and I have only eaten once in the cafeteria and the food was excellent and we were treated very kindly. But we have not had any further experience with the food as of yet. Mom eats most if not all of her meals in her cottage. One thing that would have been helpful if it could have been arranged was the roundtable meeting. Our schedule made it quite difficult for the staff to schedule this with us. So not pointing any fingers here. But I think it would have been helpful to my mom, especially. A staff member has seen to it that my mom has access to a larger print version of the activities calendar. Thank you very much for this effort. It means a great deal to mom. Many of the cottage residents have invited my mom multiple times to attend group activities with them. We both appreciate this. Mom has veiled herself of the bus field trips and shopping trips a few times already and has only had very high praise for that experience. She is very complementary of the way the driver handles these events. And Pioneer living scored way off the charts with my mom when she found out that she would have a ride to vote! Thank you for that as well. My last comment is in regards to the value for cost. I rate this as a 4+. Mom's cottage checks just about every single box for her. While her living situation will never be perfect, we would choose Pioneer senior living again if we had to make a choice.

This facility is newer and pleasantly appealing on the inside. Nursing staff is above average. We have experienced some issues with staff disbursing meds that was unexceptable. To add to this, the director of the facility has NEVER returned numerous phone calls when issues arise. The only way to speak with her is to be on site. This is our biggest issue to date. Also, main phone line, more often than not, is not answered for outside callers as well as residents. This is beyond frustrating for all involved. Meals at facility are a little above average. This facility is fairly expensive and does not quite meet our expectations.

The nurses and care have been amazing. We also have hospice involved to maximize her care. The only thing that I hear from the residents as well is the food is bland and they get rice everyday. Mom needs softer foods and I have had to bring soups and soft stuff occasionally for lunch to assure she’s eating. But overall we are happy with the facility!

The staff at Sunflower Springs have been fantastic. Patient, compassionate, knowledgeable. The facility is clean. While it will never be home and never perfect - it has been a wonderful fit for Mom. I am pleased with our decision and thankful for Sunflower Springs.

Activities are incredible! The caregivers are great, but it seems understaffed. Housekeeping needs to be more often. Communication with/from administrators needs improvement. More employees needed in maintenance. The décor is terribly outdated and tired. But my family member likes it there, and she is safe there. That's all that really matters.

Loved the staff, set up of the unit, activities, etc. the only negative is they overpromised and under delivered. I don't think they gave my Mother as much attention as she needed to acclimate and at the time of her passing, they wanted me to get her into a nursing home.

Turnover is high. Assessment charges do not reflect service provided. Rising prices regularly. I think turnover is everywhere and the business model is the same regardless of the facility, so therefore I would recommend Vineyard Bluffton to others looking.
