Things have gone very well overall at Creekside at Three Rivers. The staff here are very friendly, very caring people, and they do a great job keeping families apprised as to what is going on with their loved one. I would recommend them to others looking into care in the area.

They've done a great job overall at The Haven in the Summit. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and were really great about working with us through this transition. They were communicative and helpful, and very gentle with the whole family while we figured things out. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they take great care of their residents.

My husband and I visited North Brook Place last week and were very impressed. The place is older but very clean. Very homey and welcoming. The residents we saw and spoke with seemed happy and well taken care of. We feel it could be a good fit for our loved one and we would feel comfortable knowing that there was someone who cared about them as much as we do.

While still very new to this community, the beginning has been truly wonderful. I cannot find words to express our gratitude to the staff and Executive Director for their thoughtfulness and genuine caring displayed during the transition to this beautiful facility. The culture found within the staff speaks volumes in such an organization. Our hats are off to all including the visionary who planted this special place in the "dirt" of this great county. We are all blessed by their presence while we are particularly blessed with a place for our mom.

Carriage Hill is a very attractive, well-kept, Assisted Living facility that also offers Alzheimer's Care. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, off Route 460; it is also one of the few Assisted Living facilities in the Lynchburg/Bedford Area that take insurance & Medicare. In my experience, the administrator was very welcoming & informative. The staff I encountered during my weekly visits were friendly & helpful; I was told that a variety of activities were provided, however not when I was there. While the overall care for this ambulatory was good. 2 main concerns were expressed by the family. The first was that the patient had to see the MD contracted to cover the facility, instead of the physician who had treated her for many years (she saw her own specialists). The other concern of the family was that despite the patient having cardiac problems, including low blood pressure & a history of falling, her blood pressure was only checked once a month! When I questioned this, I was told that it was the normal procedure for this facility. I don't know what the Standard of Care for Assisted Living facilities is regarding checking vital signs, however, in a population with multiple health problems, who take a variety of medications, my view is that this is very inadequate. Regular blood pressure checks can prevent strokes, heart attacks & other cardiovascular events that can cause severe disabilities &/or death. If you choose this facility, I would suggest that you request the doctor order blood pressure checks, at least once a day.

This community is very updated from the ambiance to the computer system to the health and fitness of the residents. They do not have skilled nursing but offer good care services for this type of community. They try to keep the residents active and moving as long as the residents wants to participate. I would absolutely recommend Elmcroft to anyone.

Very knowledgeable staff with years of history with the residents. Newly acquired by a new company which created some minor issues which either have been resolved or are being resolved. I would recommend.

We have had a very positive experience with this senior living facility and truly appreciate both the environment and the people who work there. While there was some initial miscommunication and confusion during the process, the staff was helpful, responsive, and worked with us to ensure everything was resolved smoothly. The team has been caring, professional, and supportive, which made a meaningful difference in our experience. We would absolutely recommend this community to anyone looking for a quality senior living facility for themselves or a loved one.

It would be to there benefit to learn who handles what and get their phone numbers, the facility is always short on help so it's like everywhere else you can never find anyone who works there when you need them, and become an advocate for your loved one

I give this rating due to not having any prior reference for comparison. they explained processes and procedures of the facility, gave a tour and answered all questions and concerns satisfactorily. I didn't give a 5 due to a few actions, not harmful or detrimental, was just a process I was not made aware of. 2 cleanliness~5. 3 friendliness, staff and residents have been welcoming, and friendly. 4. quality of care 5, although I have not required care beyond what is offered by the facility, I have observed the attentiveness to the residents that require it. 5 administration staff. 5, issues that need need to be resolved, we're assisted by staff and completed with the needed results. 6 food, 4 , not to be confused with the menu or prep or final result. I understand that meals have to be prepared 'generically' mainly due to the varying degrees of dietary restrictions of the residents. I am adjusting as much as I can to make the best of the situation. this is not a slight on the cooks who have to attempt to satisfy everyone while working within the parameters and restrictions they have to cope with. 7 activities 5, there are quite a bit of activities to keep residents involved to prevent boredom and promote I traction with each other. 8 value 5. with the amenities that's offered, the atmosphere, the calm, peaceful outside surroundings, the focus on comfort and well being, goes a long way.

The staff seems super friendly and helpful. With any changeover, there is always going to be a few hiccups. Room size is nice. Not too small. Food choices seem to be good. It's my dad who's is there and he hasn't complained.

Super caring staff. Terrible communication with admin on site. They could prepare vegetables consistently , using more local farm-to-table. They advertise " chef" and I am pretty sure he has experience as a cook only.

I know this is a good site for people to be at and the one big positive is that they actually keep the residents active which was one area that I considered the most for a place for my mom.

The administrative staff has been wonderful. The caregivers are pretty good and friendly. I think they've had some issues with staffing, but I believe that's been straightened out. There was one staff member that we had an issue with, and she was reassigned to someone other than my mother. She was new and not very experienced and according to my mother very rough with her tone.

We visited our good friend from our high school graduating class and we were impressed by everything there. Best of all, he loves living here. We were only confused about the floor levels, as we thought since he was on floor 2, we would go up, but that is the level you come in on. So, we did get a tour of the facility on our own, until we figured that out!

The staff was caring. I felt they were short-staffed at times but that's probably every where. I can't say anything about the food. I never ate there and my loved one is a very picky eater (he doesn't even like chicken!) with an extremely limited number of foods he would eat. Cleanliness was good.

I would recommend them. The staff is good but they just don't have enough people.

They work hard and it has a family atmosphere. My family member only needs reminders and some time those are missing day to day. The medication aids are very busy and sometimes they can be lax on time of administration and follow thru. Overall I am satisfied but wish they had a NP or registered nurse on staff.

Staff is excellent. Especially pt [Name Removed].

Overall experience is very good and staff is great. Only issue has been clothes being laundered on time twice. Food is generally good and room size is good for a single resident.
