The staff that have been following up with me about my mother have been great. At the moment everything has been going fine with her she likes the meals that they offer they are tasty and healthy. Activities are offered on site and off site to the residents.

My Mother really likes it there. She loves the staff.

The people that took us on the tour of this community were very nice. The community itself seemed to be a little to quiet for my dad. We did not notice any of the residents out and involved in any of the activities.

Everyone has been terrific. Very caring and responsive to my sister's needs. We're pleased and so is she.

My Mother has been here now for 2 years. I have been more than pleased with the facility and the care she has and is being given. I do think they need more staff per hall especially during the evening and night time hours. They have responded promptly to all my concerns and needs anytime I inquire. We did have to move to from a private to a semi-private not long ago. It has been a hard adjustment for me more than Mama. She still thinks she is returning to her old room. :) Everyone is just as helpful and pleasant on this hall as they were on the last. I would reccommend this facility to anyone that has a parent or spouse suffering from altzheimers or dementia.

Very nice, spacious apartments in this community. The staff is great and so helpful. The facility is clean and well kept. The food is pretty good here and there are enough activities to keep you busy and involved with the other residents here.

The Villas at Canterfield is like a four star resort. When you enter the lobby, it looks very nice, and the staff there is all very cheerful and helpful, very eager to answer questions and offer solutions. My relative is very happy there and I would highly recommend them.

I have 2 parents at the Horizon Bay Charleston. One is in assisted living and the other is in the Alzheimer's unit. The assisted living area seems extremely nice. They are organized about personal care. The meals seem nice. The Alzheimer's unit is caring but they do seem short staffed sometimes. They do a good job. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. From what I had seen, the care and the cleanliness is far better than the other places.

Things have gone very well overall at Creekside at Three Rivers. The staff here are very friendly, very caring people, and they do a great job keeping families apprised as to what is going on with their loved one. I would recommend them to others looking into care in the area.

They've done a great job overall at The Haven in the Summit. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and were really great about working with us through this transition. They were communicative and helpful, and very gentle with the whole family while we figured things out. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they take great care of their residents.

My husband and I visited North Brook Place last week and were very impressed. The place is older but very clean. Very homey and welcoming. The residents we saw and spoke with seemed happy and well taken care of. We feel it could be a good fit for our loved one and we would feel comfortable knowing that there was someone who cared about them as much as we do.

While still very new to this community, the beginning has been truly wonderful. I cannot find words to express our gratitude to the staff and Executive Director for their thoughtfulness and genuine caring displayed during the transition to this beautiful facility. The culture found within the staff speaks volumes in such an organization. Our hats are off to all including the visionary who planted this special place in the "dirt" of this great county. We are all blessed by their presence while we are particularly blessed with a place for our mom.

Carriage Hill is a very attractive, well-kept, Assisted Living facility that also offers Alzheimer's Care. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, off Route 460; it is also one of the few Assisted Living facilities in the Lynchburg/Bedford Area that take insurance & Medicare. In my experience, the administrator was very welcoming & informative. The staff I encountered during my weekly visits were friendly & helpful; I was told that a variety of activities were provided, however not when I was there. While the overall care for this ambulatory was good. 2 main concerns were expressed by the family. The first was that the patient had to see the MD contracted to cover the facility, instead of the physician who had treated her for many years (she saw her own specialists). The other concern of the family was that despite the patient having cardiac problems, including low blood pressure & a history of falling, her blood pressure was only checked once a month! When I questioned this, I was told that it was the normal procedure for this facility. I don't know what the Standard of Care for Assisted Living facilities is regarding checking vital signs, however, in a population with multiple health problems, who take a variety of medications, my view is that this is very inadequate. Regular blood pressure checks can prevent strokes, heart attacks & other cardiovascular events that can cause severe disabilities &/or death. If you choose this facility, I would suggest that you request the doctor order blood pressure checks, at least once a day.

This community is very updated from the ambiance to the computer system to the health and fitness of the residents. They do not have skilled nursing but offer good care services for this type of community. They try to keep the residents active and moving as long as the residents wants to participate. I would absolutely recommend Elmcroft to anyone.

The Pointe is a nice independent living facility in a good location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and quiet. Housekeeping is exceptional. Good value for the cost.

Overall, the apartment size is very nice, and the walk-in closet has been a wonderful feature. The staff responded quickly during a recent medical situation, which was greatly appreciated. However, communication with family members could be improved so that loved ones are kept informed when incidents occur. I also believe it is important for facilities to have clear policies in place regarding interactions between residents and staff members or contractors, particularly when financial matters are involved, to help protect residents from potential misunderstandings or exploitation. There have also been some questions about whether certain additional services are being fully utilized, and greater transparency regarding the level of care provided would be helpful. The therapy services have been beneficial, although it took some time for everything to be put in place. The transition into the facility was somewhat challenging at first, but conditions seem to have stabilized over time. At this point, it appears that a long-term stay may not be the best fit, and alternative care arrangements may eventually be considered.

My mom has been a resident at Randall Residence since March, 2023. Overall, our family would agree that this has been a blessing for our mom. She has had good care with a lot of the same staff caring for her in past 3+ years. My mom has enjoyed the food, activities and friendships at Randall. I would highly recommend Randall Residence for anyone considering independent, assisted living or memory care for their loved one.

Minimal care, long waits for staff. Poor staffing - only one room cleaner for whole building. Apartment is comfortable size. Management not responsive to concerns. Have reported issues to corporate and to Ombudsman.

Very impressed with the facility, clean, updated, friendly staff. We plan to have my Mother join them in a studio apartment soon.

Room size is good, place is clean, the staff is terrific, Jim complained about food but he enjoyed when I would pick him up 3 xs a week to go for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. With [ Name Removed] being in Memory care the rooms should be locked n secure all the time but the staff is busy and can't get to locking them when the resident is out of the room. For that reason other residents in same unit wander about checking every door n when they find one open the entry ( even though it's not their room ) and rummage thru drawers n help themselves to items that don't belong to them. [ Name Removed] is missing a couple belts n couple pair of blue jeans. No idea where they might be. Just a couple items but little concerning. My loved one is relocating, but No other reason to relocate other than the close proximity to my home.
