Best thing from my perceptive is the activities which have my mom engaged with other people regularly. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend The Colonnade at Northdale to other families.

We chose Village Veranda because of the location and their memory care unit as well as the availability to add on extra services if needed. The facility is in a very convenient location.

Just had a significant price increase. The staff are very helpful and often do more than expected for her. The smallest rooms are more affordable but not big enough to be reasonable Have to spend more to get acceptable size room for someone who is still active and mobile.

The only continual problem/issue is with the dining room. That is either due to the quality /quantity of the food, or the way the staff is trying to make them sit at tables which makes them feel like children . Some of the outings, especially the ones to the larger grocery stores, are only for one hour. That is a very short timeframe for elderly people that do not walk quickly and also have a vision problem. The only other issue that I have noted, is there is no outside common ground. The pool is completely encased with no access to a sundeck and the only outside seating is in the circular driveway. The facility is always very clean and the staff are always very friendly. There does seem to be a continual issue with one of the elevators, which seems to continually not be working. They also seem to have an issue with the fire alarm going off during the night.

Overall things fairly good. Am having problems with medicines, mostly insulin records. Food ok but often not as advertised. No condiments , butter or jelly. Actives every day but often not so much for men. Most of staff very good and friendly. Some of problems incurred due to staffing problems being worked on with new supervisor.

Administration is caring and willing to try to help or point in directions that would be more helpful. I liked the fact it was a locked down facility.

The staff is very caring and works together to ensure the residents are taken care of. My mother would prefer that the food be more healthy. I have only personally eaten there once. I had the turkey tetrazzini. It looked like it had been sitting in the pan a very long time. The taste and texture were not good and I was only able to eat a few bites.

Staff - note this changes during the year as the facility was purchased. We had some issues with the payment set up. It had a few hiccups, but then got worked out. Meals & Dining - they charge guest $[removed] for a meal, and it is NOT a $[removed] meal. That needs adjusting, but overall the food is good for the most part. My sister has a full kitchen, so sometimes she like to make her own meals. Value for cost - great if all activities are taken advantage of. The facility is really beautiful. Very clean, and the staff are kind and helpful. We looked at a lot of places before deciding on this location. The food is not bad, I think they just overcharge for guests. It jumped from $[removed] with the next management. $[removed] would be more reasonable.

The staff at the Pointe were very nice. Mom was there for a couple of nights. She is too independent for this facility. I think with prepared meals, she would eat, take a nap, eat again and then take another nap. Many residents were in walkers and wheelchairs, mom isn’t there yet. Also, the main level looks in to the parking lot, she didn’t like that. We moved her to an over 55 community. It has been a better fit.

Sunflower Springs had the best overall value for what is offered compared to other places we had looked into. The staff are all extremely helpful and welcoming.

The facility is beautiful and conveniently located to many shopping, tourist, and restaurant options. The staff are caring and easy to talk to. There are numerous activities that residents can participate in as they desire.

I honestly didn't see any others in Ga. Just one in Tn. There were a lot of activities, the pool, being able to eat lunch at anytime you want...,friendly people but I didn't like having to park under the building and then go up the elevator...

My Grandfather has had nothing but positive things to say about the staff. We are from a larger community so there are less social events then he is used to but the staff does their best to keep him engaged.

A safe place for my dad to recover from his fall. Generally clean and neat but sometimes housekeeping in the residents room was a little lacking. Most of the staff was very friendly and caring, some were just putting in the time. , Appeared understaffed - many calls for help (alert button) went unanswered or took more than 30 minutes to respond. The administrative staff are reachable and generally responsive. Food is nothing special, wait times in dining room are sometimes long. Activites - bingo, some regular holiday celebrations. In house PT was good. Value for the money - average for the area.

Staff and admin have been helpful and friendly. Most of our complaints have been due to staffing instability, which you find at most places. My mom loves all of the activities. Overall, this is the first place where she has felt comfortable since moving out of her house.

Nursing staff, custodial staff, and administrative staff are in transition. The nursing staff and aides are very kind but could use a bit more training. The new administrator is wonderful and writes excellent newsletters. The activities director is cheerful and welcoming. She plans fun activities for residents. The custodial staff could be more responsive. Families are often left to their own devices. Overall, we are pleased.

People are wonderful. Food is the only negative I would say it's a 2. Room is good and amenities good. We chose this facility for the cleanliness and my father said he felt comfortable there. Don't know how to define that. His comfort was my primary concern.

I would say it has a small town cozy feeling and looks and feels like home, not an institution. Rooms are about 500 square feet, decently equipped but a little outdated. Housecleaning twice a month, garbage pick up twice a week once a week outings to Walmart or target once a month outing to a restaurant.

This is a very clean Facility. The food is very average. The management is super nice and very accommodating. The housekeeping could use extra help on the weekends as well as the kitchen staff. They need to schedule bed changes at least once a week, especially in Memory Care where the clients may not want, or know, to ask for extra help. The Beauty Shop could use extra help.

Very clean & upscale community living. Residents seem happy & enjoy the activities. Helpful, friendly staff. Dining is not gourmet, but home style. The only complaints are that they need more staff, & the billing system could be improved.
