We were in the unfortunate position of having to find a new place for my Mom but wanted a place that could also accommodate my Dad as well. He insisted that he move with Mom. We called "A Place For Mom" and within hours they had a couple of places for us to look at. The Villas At Canterfield is an outstanding facility. The staff, from administrators to care givers are fantastic. They actually had a room that was much better for them than their previous facility which we really hated to have to leave. Overall, a very troubling situation was made so much easier thanks to "A Place For Mom" and The Villas At Canterfield!

This was a luxury place. They had a mahogany bar, leather in the cinema. I didn't like that they had open stairwells though. It was beautiful with the paintings and the woodwork.

My husband spent four months at the Villas before he passed away. Before that he was in another facility that we knew after two weeks we had to find another place. I am so thankful for someone telling me about the Villas. As soon he moved in I knew that they would take good care of him. The caregivers there were so warm and thoughtful. They were always there to take care of his every need. When he did not get up to go eat they were there seeing that he received some nourishment. After he was put in the hospital the rehab we were told by the social worker at the rehab he needed to go to a Nursing Home. I went back to the Villas and spoke with the Director, Dusty Gunn, he told me not too worry he could come back there and they would take care of him. He returned on a Sunday afternoon and died the next day, but in that 24 hour period they were in his room checking on him every hour even though Hospice was there and just comforting my husband. I felt so good knowing that my husband had so many people. Around him at the end telling him how very much they enjoyed getting to know him and that he was very special to them. Thank you everyone at the Villas for taking such good care of my husband. I recommend the Villas Of Canterfield very highly.

Very happy with facility ,meals and activities. Wish they had guarantied resized beds.

Daddy's in the memory unit, before he was in the memory unit he was ruminating thinking he was back in WWII and thought he went AWOL. The memory unit is called Clarebridge, he has his own room, he is happy as a clam, he doesn't talk about the military and the other people who are with him are just as sweet as can be. He goes to lunch now with other people and they go to red lobster, applebees, mexican... all that. They have great activities and in fact, I'm helping with the Halloween party. Everybody tolerates my dad, my dad is the dad that goes into other people's rooms and sleeps in other peoples beds but they're all so sweet about it. The rooms have their own thermostats and in the dining room the men wear these vests, not a bib, to catch the food and they have a lot of things they can do if they want. Everybody gets to know you and every second Sunday I take the epopel who work with daddy baked goods and things like that, I can rest at night and they're taking care of daddy, it's important. Janet was so nice and everybody bent over backwards.

I liked the way Horizon Bay is set up. The Building Care Unit is a rectangle with rooms on the outside and everything else is in the middle. The residents can also go outside and wander around the property on enclosed paths. The people there are good, friendly, and professional.

Had tour today. I was shown both the assisted living and memory care areas. I was told my mother would be evaluated to be able to tell me what section would be right for her. My sister thinks my mother may need a skilled nursing facility.

Moved my mom in a few days ago and it was like moving in to an apartment. Had a really home like feeling. Was not like she was moving in to a hospital type setting. The food is really good and there is a big variety to pick from. The location is in a quiet setting with nice views. The surrounding area has nearby doctors and hospital.

Outstanding! The Director was both knowledgeable and personable. Great daycare program option that would act as a stepping stone to being a resident.

We have nothing else locally to compare to but have been extremely happy with the majority of the services, care, staff and facility. There are a few that stand out with regards to specific areas: ?? Activities -[Name removed], Activities Director does an amazing job with the residents, both on the Assisted Living and Memory Care wings. She keeps them active and engaged and demonstrates a commendable caring and love for the residents. She plans a variety of activities and crafts to maintain their interest. When[Name removed] is away there is a noticeable difference in the "energy" in the building. ?? Family Support (Sales Director) - [Name removed] provides great support throughout the decision making and move in process. Her ongoing support for the family .. as well as interactions with the residents shows that she cares about more than a "sale".. she cares and wants the best for residents. ?? Aides - [Name removed] - the most genuinely compassionate caregiver, providing great care and support for the residents and always with a smile! ?? Food -Chef - [Name removed] does a great job and cooks up good meals and great soups with what he has on hand to make it as homemade as possible! All with a smile on his face and joy in his conversations and interactions. All cooking staff are excellent about accommodating dietary needs, restrictions and individual likes and dislikes! ?? There are many more staff that are so helpful and good at supporting the residents... from administration, caregivers, and custodial staff. Always sharing a smile and engaging with residents and families/friends. I really can't say enough good things!

Our experience with Wayman Place has been so far, so good; I have no real complaints. I do think that more information should be given to new people, like how to find and ask for things. They could have a more detailed tour or a thorough orientation that includes a listing of things and services. Otherwise they're great, I know they have been busy with the hurricane. The community is clean, my loved one loves it so far and my grandparent does too, but if they didn't ask for things like schedules, they wouldn't know. They need a little help brushing up on that, but other than that, it's good.

They have been good for my sister because she has made so many friends and become more sociable with people. The assistants for the most part are very attentive. The only negative thing I can say is the bathroom cleaning assistance is not what I would prefer for her. She is unable to keep it up and always complains that they don't clean the floor very often. It used to be great when they had a housekeeper but now it's up to the nursing assistants. I think. The meals are usually pretty good .

Out of all of the places that we toured, The Village at Southlake was my favorite personally. It is a nicer and newer place and the staff were great. They did have partners for extra care but when talking with them they were not on staff as often as we would have needed. This is a great place for those who are truly independent who don't need any extra care.

We chose Village Veranda because of the things that they offered and also their price was a little less than some others in the area that we looked into. The room sizes in assisted living are adequate for her needs and she adjusting quite well. The executive director who stepped in in the beginning helped us a lot with the things that we needed to get done and was great. I would absolutely recommend the facility to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was very enjoyable, all of the people were very nice but the location was just a little to far away.
