Spring Arbor Senior Living

The community is only one floor and the community is smaller. The communication is good and they keep us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The community is allowing us to visit with our friend. This was great to be able to visit again. The staff is wonderful, they are friendly and respond quickly to any questions I have about my friend.

We chose Spring Arbor of Greenville because it was nicer and cleaner than the others we had toured at the time. The room sizes here are adequate. I would recommend to others looking.

My parents, both now deceased from natural causes, lived at Anthology in Wheaton. I have nothing but good to say about that community. When you first walk in, you meet the secretaries at the front desk. They know every resident by name and go out of their way to help the residents and converse with them. The nursing staff and care givers treat each resident with care and respect, and are great about keeping family members informed. The kitchen staff and dining room servers are kind and accommodating to the resident diners and their idiosyncrasies, going the extra mile to make the residents smile. The executive director and business manager have been honest and helpful. The activities director is the absolute best! She truly loves each person in her care, and it is amazing to see how she greets each resident and enjoys them for who they are and the history each one of them brings. Before coming to Anthology, my parents lived for four years at a much bigger, fancier retirement facility. There were more activities available at that facility, but it seemed more like a business. Anthology is a smaller, close-knit community that appreciated my parents and honored them. The variety of activities is not as numerous as the larger facility, but there were plenty of programs and activities to keep my outgoing mother happy and busy. Independent home health providers as well as hospice companies have spoken highly of Anthology. The building is clean, it smells good, and is only about three years old. I moved my parents to Anthology due to a need for assisted living care which was unavailable at the other facility. My only regret is that I didn't have my parents move to Anthology sooner.

Mom is adjusting very well at Rosewood Village. She was sitting with her new friends when I went over there to visit. Everyone at the facility is friendly and helpful. It was a great decision to move her there.

My dad lived at Travanse for 16 months before he passed away. Our experience was exceptional with the staff , nurses and leadership . My dad didn’t want to go there at first he wanted to live with one of his children . Like my mom’s parents did with them. However , that wasn’t an option because of the level of care he needed and the fact that all of children worked and traveled a lot. The facility knowing dad was apprehensive about living there went to extremes to make sure he was comfortable and involved in the things he was interested in. Lot of activities throughout the day and week. Place was new , clean and very well maintained. Food was okay , but service staff was outstanding and would go out of their way to fulfill the needs of my dad. If he didn’t want to go downstairs to eat they would bring his food to him. Ensuring he didn’t go to bed without eating. They kept our family aware of any thing that we should be made aware about his health or medical needs. Leadership helped and guided us when was the appropriate time to put him in hospice so his needs were being effectively met. Whenever I brought an issue or opportunity to management’s attention they addressed it quickly . Travanse was a life saver for our family to give us peace of mind that dad was being taken care of in a quality manner when we weren’t able to be there. Plus, we always felt he was safe . He didn’t totally accept living there versus with one of us , but he was accepting of the situation. He also loved the staff . Great facility and staff..

My sister-in-law has been in assisted living at Spring Arbor for 11 months. It has become home for her and she has made friends and feels very comfortable there. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent. They have activities of which she has been a part. She is confined to a wheelchair and the aides are always available for her. I am very pleased with the facilities and the staff.

The staff at Osprey Lodge stepped up to help us when no one else could or would before hurricane Irma. Establishing a place for my husband (who has Alzheimer's) to stay safe and for respite for my husband after the storm. He has been there since Irma and he is doing well. The staff, nurses and everyone there are absolutely awesome. He loves it there and I am sure he will not want to leave when it is time to come home.

This community was our second choice. The community we chose was a little closer to family. The staff we met were very kind. The community was clean they allow pets and they seem to offer some nice activities.

I am happy with the community and the staff. The community is clean and always maintained. I am glad to know that she did get involved with the activities that are offered. This is a great community with excellent care. I would recommend other families to this community for a good value and care for there loved one.

For anybody looking for an outstanding assisted living facility, this is the one! Great accommodations and first class facility. Always checking on my mother and in constant contact with me on any issue or concern. Nursing staff and attendants are personable and ready to fill any need. Very accommodating to my mom who is 87 and unfortunately not in great health. They get her to all her appointments on time on any day. I could not ask for better people to work with. [Removed] head nurse is awesome and very caring! She is always available to me. Feels like home the way it should be!

After reading the previous review, I felt compelled to write one myself. My mother has also been at Crane's view since July. Crane's view was the highest recommended facility to us in the Clermont area. She wasn't driving when we moved her in because she lost her sight in one eye preventing her from being safe so we decided it was in mom's best interest not be on the road on her own! This brings me to the first reason Crane's view is so valuable to us. They make special provisions for mom to get her to her doctors' appointments allowing us the comfort in knowing mom gets to where she needs to be when she needs to be there. The many times I visited mom since July, I have experienced a fantatisc staff at Crane views. Everyone is pleasant and very attentive, not only to moms needs but ours as well! They knew who I was and where I live. My brother lives near mom and is over there two to four times per week. Crane's view staff calls him if mom sneezes. I personally have questioned nurses on duty about medication and scheduling of medications. They knew mom by name and showed me her chart and were knowledgeable about the care level mom is on. Mom gets everything her Doctors prescribe for her. The facility is extremely well taken care of as if it were a resort in the mountains. I ate lunch a few times with mom and the food is great! Mom bucked a little at first but with recent conversations, she has told me how much she likes it there and wouldnt know what to do if she were by herself. She has someone clean her apartment once a week, a button to call staff when she needs something or just wants a glass of water, three square meals a day, snacks in between all an elevator or the push of a button away! I would want to know if the previous reviewer had ever visited Crane's view since July? To make such comments and not visit to see first hand would be unfair, to say the least! I am very thankful for Crane's view facility and staff that take such great care of my mom!

Attitude of staff always positive. Clean, well -attended -to facility. Respect of residents is outstanding. Meals are tasty and a choice is offered. Outings are well managed and offered frequently. The atmosphere is encouraging (not dispiriting).

We really like this community. The staff seem to enjoy what they are doing. They are attentive and get to know the residents as soon as they come in. There is a community feeling. The community is clean. The food is adequate, however they are making strides to improve it. They had more activities when mom first moved in. I would recommend this community.

The director we met with was fantastic. I spoke to numerous residents along our tour and each of them said how much they love it here. It is an older community and was not quite as bright and cheery of an environment as the community we chose. I think mom would have liked it because she is very social and everyone there was very pleasant both staff and residents. They had lots of activities and good pricing. If this community was maybe a little closer to our home we would have chosen it. I felt that this was a warm and caring place for a loved one.

I had selected Rosewood for my Mom months before but could not convince her to even look at it. On April 26, she took a bad fall and broke her shoulder, she lives alone and could not care for herself. While in the hospital, there had to be decisions made on where she would go so I called Rosewood and the angels there were looking out for me. They were able to access her and get her in the very next day. God was looking out for me. I cannot tell you how relieved I was to have the guidance of Crystal and Beth to get me processed so quickly and how helpful all the staff has been to get Mom settled. Everyone who comes to see her is so impressed with the facilities and staff, they want to move in too. If I had to do it all over again, I would do the same and so thankful I found a place for my Mom to call HOME if even only for a short time.. I cannot say enough about the ladies she has taking care of her, they are kind, patient and loving. Treat her just like she was their Mom. Thank you Rosewood.

I think it was the best place for my Mother, I viewed others that just didn't have the Personality. Jean & Winnie are wonderful. My Mom is not easy, but they are so caring. The whole staff is like family to her, she still misses us but content.

Iam so thankful A Place For Mom gave me information on Osprey Lodge. It is perfect for my husband. The ambiance is a reminder of the years we spent in the Adirondacks. Our favorite place. The care my husband gets is second to none. The staff is so caring and the activities make his day go smoothly. Ginger the therapy dog looks just like the Golden's we had. Denise my contact at Osprey is such a capable person and helped me tremendously with difficult decisions. She is perfect for her position.

We had a great respite care experience with my Dad. Great people. Made the process simple. Very helpful and caring attitude.

My Husband and I were VERY impressed with the over all tour of Windsor Manor in Grinnell Iowa. When we took My Mother for her visit it was truly a wonderful experience for HER and us. Mom's comment was "I'm NOT going to MOVE from my present apartment. I'm happy here, and like it." SHE was totally not for a tour needless to say a move. We toured on Tuesday afternoon, and she told us she would move. I didn't let her even think it over. Packing up her old apartment started that afternoon and we moved her the following Saturday. The FOOD is very tasty, people are SO HELPFUL, offer to help us in any way they could. Mom has been there for 1 month and is TOTALLY Happy. My family is so HAPPY and PLEASED with every thing and everyone. We are very THANKFUL and Lucky to have this kind of assisted living area for our loved ones. I am and will continue to promoted Windsor Manor----We are at the age where our friends have parents at the age of needing this kind of wonderful facility. I would be more then happy to talk to any one considering assisted living for their love ones. Giving Mom a beautiful wreath for her door made her so HAPPY and WELCOMED.
