Spring Arbor Senior Living

We are very happy with our experience. My loved one wanted to be in a smaller community and it has a homey feel to here. It isn't a hotel like. It has been really good as my loved one is enjoying their time here. The food has been good and reliable and this is a plus. The staff are friendly and easy to ask questions to. There have been times that I have had to track answers down; however, once I have been able to do this they were able to provide complete answers which I am happy with.

We were very impressed with this community but my loved one only stayed for one night. She had to go to the hospital and they told us that we went there that as long as my loved one could assist with transfers that they could take her. However, when she was re evaluated they stated that they could not do assist with moving and that my loved one could not come back even though she was considered a minimal assist. This was frustrating to us due to how much we spent and then my loved one only stayed one night and was told that she could not come back and they had accepted her previously. I think that the independent people do really well but if you need any kind of assistance then this is not the place. I think that the workers that did the assessments were new and not on the same page, they did refund some of the money but that one night ended up costing us a lot. We would have preferred for my loved one to be here but things just did not work out that way. I would recommend this community but it is best if you are independent.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good tour experience, it was a little less expensive then others we had toured in the area. They did have potential, but the rooms we were shown were just a little bit to small and the location was a little inconvenient for our family.

Overall pleased

My sister looked at two other places and she felt most comfortable with Rosewood Village. We did respite care here to feel it out because we were not comfortable moving him yet and I am very glad they offer that. The care he received was just fine, my only complaint was I spent a lot of time letting them know about the care he needed and I felt like they did not apply it or listen. The parking can be quite complicated because it is a tiny parking lot. It is a beautiful place and the people were all extremely friendly and caring towards the residents. There was a particular nurse [name removed] who was really good. Overall we would definitely recommend them to others who need this type of care.

We chose Spring Arbor because we thought it was the best option for my mom with all things considered. They have a very friendly staff and they are all super helpful. The location has also been great for our family and we have easy access to her which is what we were looking for. We would recommend Spring Arbor to other families looking.

It's a good facility. I think they're a little short-staffed right now, and because of that, response times are slower. But the staff that are there are friendly. I rate the facility itself highly as far as cleanliness. The food is good and seems more like home cooked. And they have plenty of activities - they go on some outings, have movie nights, devotional/ church services, happy hours, crafts, etc.

this is a really good place and a good fit for my loved one. the other residents have encouraged her to take part in activities, as she was not doing so on her own. we're appreciative that the community accepted her cat as well. my loved one moved in under not so good circumstances, but quickly adjusted to living at this community comfortably and happily.

The staff at Spring Arbor really helped us out during a difficult time, so based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families. They have so many different activities for the residents to participate in.

Overall it is very good. They do appear to be understaffed, which can cause delays for the residents. It has been a good experience for my loved one though. The food has gone down hill recently for my loved one.

The meal was ok and it felt more like take out food. It seemed more like produced off site for the residents.

They have wonderful activities at this community. If you get bored here it is going to be your own fault. For the price I do feel like there should have been more offered like help with bathing if needed. You have to keep close tabs on this community. I would drop in at different times to see how things are going and also I keep a eye on my loved ones medicines to make sure they are getting what they need to be getting.

We chose Spring Arbor because they are close to our home and it is easy to get here. It also has a very good reputation in this area. When I have been here to visit, the friendliness of the staff to the residents really sticks out to me. It is very clean and bright and cheerful. They are short staffed, some of the shifts are great but through the night is where the care is not so great. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

This was a great community I just felt that there was another community that was a better fit for my loved one. This community was also on the bigger side and I was looking for something not as big and more homey feeling for our loved one.

Make sure you have a companion for your parent or loved one. You can't just leave it up to White Springs to keep them stimulated all the time. They've had a lot of turnover in staff. I liked the prior staff, but I'm still waiting to see how the newer staff are. I think it's good for what it is. I don't think any of these care places are awesome, but it's not bad here.

From what we can observe, the staff appear to try to meet the residents' needs, but we feel that that they are understaffed. And we feel that that affects their interaction with the residents. They are not as interactive with the residents as we had hoped they would be. They were the least expensive place we looked at though, and we would still select them again. They appear to be trying, and if they had more staff, their efforts would likely more effective. Even with the current understaffing, if we call something to their attention, they get on it immediately to resolve the issue.

The cleanliness of the community is great, it is very clean. The meals and dining service has actually been really good, our loved one has certain dietary restrictions and the staff have really worked well with her. From what we can see of the activities they have a lot going on, and they have really nice courtyards.

Our family had an in person tour and everything was good, we really liked the way the community was set up but the only difference was the price which is why we went with another community.

I have trouble sometimes with communication and getting responses. They have a lot of activities always going on and things for the residents to pick from to do. Even thought my loved one does not participate there is a lot to do. I a m happy with this community and I would recommend. The first thing my loved one said is this is too fancy, it is a very pretty community and very elegant.
