Spring Arbor Senior Living

Mom passed away a month after arrival at Spring Harbor. She was not at all happy there. But she would not be happy anywhere at that point. The staff tried and. Was willing to work with us just mom was difficult. The management staff was very impressive. They were the reason we went there.

It was a good experience overall. It is amazing how caring and helpful the workers are considering they are short staffed sometimes. I felt like they truly cared about my dad and I would highly recommend Wickshire to others. I only dealt with a couple of people that did not seem very caring or helpful.

I would recommend Spring Arbor gor the care mom receives but she and most residents complain about the food.

I would recommend to others. We picked this community because it was veteran friendly and in her price range.

I would tell a friend the staff, especially the executive nursing, marketing, PT and administrative staff are extremely kind and responsive to any concerns. The facility is very clean and quite frankly, never smells like a hospital or nursing facility. While nothing is perfect, this has been a very good option for my parents. I chose Waterstone on Augusta because of the cleanliness, the friendliness, and the variety of care available. My mother has dementia and needed to come to Waterstone when my dad fell and broke his femur. It was important for me to be able to keep my parents together. Dad was able to continue his rehab at Waterstone after he was released from a rehab facility and mom has been able to stay in an apartment with him. Memory care is available should mom need it, but so far we've been able to manage her care without that option.

I liked the layout of the facility and the rooms were nice. Most of the staff I have had interaction with have been wonderful with my Mom. The wellness director has been great to answer any questions. Although she is not as close as I would like it is not a far drive. They seem to do a great job keeping it clean and they do a lot of activities.

I have recommended them several times. Picked because of location and was impressed with original visit.

Nice clean place for someone that needs it! It was closer to my home!

My loved one was previously a resident at Spring Arbor of Wilmington and everything went well. We were very happy with the facility and our experience.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The executive director has been there for a number of years, which makes a big difference. And, the staff is very sensitive to the variations in capabilities of the residents. There is a nice enclosed outdoor space, which could be somewhat better maintained...

The activity director works hard to include residents in activities. My mother in law does not ask for help and does not recognize her limitations. She is reluctant to engage in activities and has not adjusted to the facility. The person who does transportation plays the piano in assisted living most weeks on Thursdays so we try to take my mother in law to hear him. She also likes the rides on Mondays in the shuttle to sightsee. The facility was very helpful in working to accommodate the family to move her from assisted living to memory care when it became apparent that she was unable to be in a less restrictive environment after only a couple of days when she tried to leave. My mother in law states that she likes the food and it seems that she is nourished and she has gained some weight. The staff make certain that water and other beverages are given at all meals and they give each resident a warm washcloth before meals for hygiene. My mother in law says that the staff are kind and nice. She believes that she is in a motel even though she has been there for 4 months. The social interaction has been really good for her. The staff and the cottage coordinator for the memory care 400 building have been very responsive to our request for help in getting my mother in law more involved in activities. This seems to have helped her rely less on family for entertainment and we are hoping that this will help her adjust to memory care 400 at Spring Arbor Cary.

I would tell a friend they take very good care of my mom. But when it comes to reaching a price, make sure it is in writing from the beginning because ours ended up being $[removed] more than what [name removed]quoted. We chose here for two reasons. We liked the dementia unit. Great activity person and the rooms are larger than most places. It is very clean and kept up nicely.

They have worked with us to accommodate daddy's needs. We have worked close with a few staff members to address daddy's needs, etc and to stay updated on his status. Per daddy's and other clients feedback. Could be improved. They are probably doing the best they can but they have been short staffed at times. Also my dad is in memory care unit and his mind is still very active so he could participate with front clients more but has been unable. This area could greatly be improved. Cost is more than what is being provided. Overall they have helped in many ways to accommodate our dad. I know no facility is perfect and at this time we do not plan to move him. It is convenient for family and he is getting his needs met. It is a difficult situation when a family member is placed in memory care but still has ability to function well cognitively. There are various levels of cognition in the unit and I know it is difficult for staff to accommodate them all.

The staff is great, he facility is homey. They could have better activities for the residents. We picked this community because it's close to family.

The staff at Spring Arbor of Cary are very friendly. The office people are sometimes hard to get ahold of and answers to questions are slow. Sometimes it takes 2-3 inquiries. Communication with the family is just okay. The housekeeping is great. The move in process was easy. My loved one hates the food. I'm sure it is okay, but she is very picky. She says that the portions are too small and there are never salad options or vegetables. She says they are very starchy, high carb, and too sugary. I guess she means desserts. There are snacks available all day for the taking, though, it's mostly bagged chips, etc. I would recommend Spring Arbor of Cary to others. My loved one is safe there and the physical therapy seems to be helping tremendously.

It's a good place to send a family member. Wish they handled meds and perscriptions better but overall we have had a good experience and glad that my father in law has a good place to go with caring people and fun things that keep him on a schedule and motivated. We picked this community because of the cost, cleanliness, and proximity to our home.

My loved one is currently a resident at Dominion Senior Living Crossville. The staff is friendly. The housekeeping does a basic clean up, but could do more. The move in process was easy and the tram was supportive. The meals seem well thought out and the team is flexible for individual requests. I would recommend Dominion Senior Living Crossville to others.

The staff at Spring Arbor of Wilmington is lovely. Everyone is very loving and friendly. The housekeeping seems to be good. The bed is always clean and clothes are washed. The move in process was wonderful. They accommodated our weekend arrival. Everyone was smiles and welcoming. The Memory Care unit doesn't seem to have a lot to choose from in regards to activities. I would suggest that they have more activities. All in all, the place is fine.

A Place for Mom was very helpful to us. VERY nice informative and they went the extra mile to get us an interview when we only had one day left..They followed up eith was afterward. If it wasn't for the help of A Place for Mom we would not have found a great place for our Dad. I can't say enough about their help,niceness and caring. They are often short staffed and the food needs improved.

[name removed] has provided professional and informative information from day 1 which helped our family feel we were making the right choice for our parents. She would always answer questions or concerns and continues to do so. She has ensured that the staff provide nurturing care for our mom. (staff at the nursing station address her as mom or grandma!)especially with the recent loss of our father. I was so pleased to see this the whole week I visited,with them sharing how sweet & loving mom is. We are pleased with the daily activities contributing to her improved mood & socialization. Mom loves it here & braggs about the food! [name removed] has been a True Blessing in giving us peace of mind.
