Spring Arbor Senior Living

This community was very nice and it reminded me of a ski lodge in Colorado. There was a waitlist due to the community have a small population.

It's one of the nicest places around. They're very caring. The aides and nurses are very good. Initially we had some learning curves, but we're past those now, and they're doing a very good job taking care of my loved one. They also allowed me to put a camera in her room, which was nice. Not because I was concerned about the care, but more so I could see how she's doing daily. She also tends to be picky about food and socializing, and she's partaking of both of those things at Dominion.

We chose Spring Arbor because it was all on one level which was important to us since she would be using a wheelchair or walker. Then when we met the administrator and the head nurse, we just really liked the way they communicated. The room size is great, she has the smallest one which is a studio and for her it is more than adequate. We always say that a facility can only be as good as their lowest level employee, I think if they were paid more, some of the aids would care more and that is for any facility, not just this one. Overall I would absolutely recommend to other families who are looking.

I advise families of patients with dementia to carefully keep track of dentures and hearing aids and things like that. Because Spring Arbor is not doing a good job of that for us. And that could be our expectation vs their expectation. But it's still very frustrating. It's a new facility, and they need to do more training and education. The director and management are good. But some of the daily staff don't talk to the patients properly in our experience. I understand that dementia patients can be difficult, but they need to continue to do more training. Overall the facility overall is very clean and nice.

We chose Spring Arbor because my mother lived in several different facilities so I had some comparisons and I also had recommendations from some of my friends. They have companion suites, but each resident has their own room and then they share a bathroom. I do think they could update some of their activities and that is something that I have suggested that to them and they really listened and some changes have already been made. I have been very pleased with our experience and would recommend them to others looking.

This is a great place. They keep all the residents in the same unit. They have church services on Sunday, they will even let someone from your own church come in. Pam, the nurse is able to be connected to the VA which helps care for my loved one further. The community supplies the bed and furniture without additional cost. They have monthly calendar of activities for the residents.

The Canopy at Boynton Ridge was a brand new place, and it was absolutely beautiful. It seemed to be well run, and my impression very positive. But the price tag was just so high. And It was a little far from our family as well. But other that than, it was a 5/5.

The community is only one floor and the community is smaller. The communication is good and they keep us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

The community is allowing us to visit with our friend. This was great to be able to visit again. The staff is wonderful, they are friendly and respond quickly to any questions I have about my friend.

We chose Spring Arbor of Greenville because it was nicer and cleaner than the others we had toured at the time. The room sizes here are adequate. I would recommend to others looking.

Mom is adjusting very well at Rosewood Village. She was sitting with her new friends when I went over there to visit. Everyone at the facility is friendly and helpful. It was a great decision to move her there.

My sister-in-law has been in assisted living at Spring Arbor for 11 months. It has become home for her and she has made friends and feels very comfortable there. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent. They have activities of which she has been a part. She is confined to a wheelchair and the aides are always available for her. I am very pleased with the facilities and the staff.

This community was our second choice. The community we chose was a little closer to family. The staff we met were very kind. The community was clean they allow pets and they seem to offer some nice activities.

I am happy with the community and the staff. The community is clean and always maintained. I am glad to know that she did get involved with the activities that are offered. This is a great community with excellent care. I would recommend other families to this community for a good value and care for there loved one.

Attitude of staff always positive. Clean, well -attended -to facility. Respect of residents is outstanding. Meals are tasty and a choice is offered. Outings are well managed and offered frequently. The atmosphere is encouraging (not dispiriting).

We really like this community. The staff seem to enjoy what they are doing. They are attentive and get to know the residents as soon as they come in. There is a community feeling. The community is clean. The food is adequate, however they are making strides to improve it. They had more activities when mom first moved in. I would recommend this community.

The director we met with was fantastic. I spoke to numerous residents along our tour and each of them said how much they love it here. It is an older community and was not quite as bright and cheery of an environment as the community we chose. I think mom would have liked it because she is very social and everyone there was very pleasant both staff and residents. They had lots of activities and good pricing. If this community was maybe a little closer to our home we would have chosen it. I felt that this was a warm and caring place for a loved one.

I had selected Rosewood for my Mom months before but could not convince her to even look at it. On April 26, she took a bad fall and broke her shoulder, she lives alone and could not care for herself. While in the hospital, there had to be decisions made on where she would go so I called Rosewood and the angels there were looking out for me. They were able to access her and get her in the very next day. God was looking out for me. I cannot tell you how relieved I was to have the guidance of Crystal and Beth to get me processed so quickly and how helpful all the staff has been to get Mom settled. Everyone who comes to see her is so impressed with the facilities and staff, they want to move in too. If I had to do it all over again, I would do the same and so thankful I found a place for my Mom to call HOME if even only for a short time.. I cannot say enough about the ladies she has taking care of her, they are kind, patient and loving. Treat her just like she was their Mom. Thank you Rosewood.

Mom was being discharged from the hospital and we had to move fast. The Shores staff were friendly, helpful and very courteous. Mom has gotten excellent care overall. The place is very clean, there is lots to do and the food is excellent. Mom really likes it there. All the staff have been excellent except for the activities director who told me bluntly that my Mom belonged in memory care. I told her I was having her tested and would let the professionals decide. She was abrupt, judgmental and unfriendly toward us. She is the only staff member who has seemed insensitive to Mom's needs.

We had a great respite care experience with my Dad. Great people. Made the process simple. Very helpful and caring attitude.
