Spring Arbor Senior Living

My mother was a resident at Spring Arbor for three years until she passed away recently. Mom was a really great person, but she was not easy to satisfy. She had been in a few assisted living facilities and her standards were high - as were mine for her. Spring Arbor met all of our high standards - and then some. The staff is extremely well-trained and very kind and helpful. They genuinely loved Mom and it showed. Mom raved about the food. There were always activities going on. The place is spotless and the staff is so friendly. If I ever had a concern, they jumped right in and addressed it. Honestly, I can't imagine Mom being in a better place and I'm so glad she lived there.

I liked what I saw from the tour we had. It is a really nice place. They gave us a good tour. We were going to select the community but she got sick and we went to a different facility. They were real nice and gave information about what they offer.

From the first visit the staff has been amazing. This was a difficult time for all of us, but the staff helped us at every turn. From touring the facility, to answering questions, getting my mom settled in her room and helping us decide what services were best for her, adding more when needed and keeping us informed about any changes with her. We are always to get any questions answered quickly. The facility is warm and welcoming, the food is excellent and there are lots of activities.

We toured this community for my mother's care. The staff was helpful and very nice. The community was clean and we were happy with the appearance. They offer a nice menu and we were happy with the list of activities that are offered for the residents. We suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

I like that Clover Hill is very secure but it's also an open environment. It's a good environment for my mother-in-law because she can roam. The staff tells me she walks daily and sometimes as much as 5 miles a day! The staff is impressive because they are so friendly. The director knows everybody and addresses residents by name. It's a homey environment.My mother-in-law likes going outdoors and now that it's spring and she can garden they have a garden with vegetables. I would assume they use the fresh produce in the kitchen. They have a well trained chef who actually cooks really good food. They offer an activity for anyone. A few weeks ago [Removed] came in and taught a cooking class. They had a pastry class as well and I'm sure my mother-in-law would have loved that because she loves pastries! They have an art class and during Valentines they made collages and paintings.They have exercise classes. It's also a Christian community and they have morning devotion daily. I am satisfied with Clover Hill and it's a good fit for my mother-in-law.

My aunt is doing well at Clover Hill. They offer a lot of activities and she is happy with the food. They offer a good variety of healthy choices. The community is spotless. The staff treat her like family. We liked that when we toured there was a good atmosphere as the staff seem to like what they are doing. I have already recommended this community.

Spring Arbor was a very lovely facility.What turned my dad away is they seemed to be understaffed when we toured. They were all in meetings and couldn't answer our questions. One perk for those are need more care is they offer a lot of handicapped rooms. My Dad didn't think he would fit in because a lot if the residents were sitting in wheelchairs. It's a gorgeous community but it felt more like a nursing home.

I like this care here for my father. The staff are nice and careing. The meals are good and he is pleased with the variety. The activiites are offered. We like knowing that this community is very cleand maintained. We would recommend other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

The Shores Of Lake Phalen really helped us in a critical time. My mother was supposed to move into another community and hours before they cancelled on us. We frantically looked for options and The Shores had an evaluation set up later that afternoon. I really appreciated how prompt they were in our time of need.I would say the staff, cleanliness and activities are all a 5 here. The food is a 4 because my mother is not enthralled about it. Overall, I would recommend The Shores.

My wife is a resident here. They seem to have a enough staff and I saw an ad in the newspaper they are hiring more.She can be stubborn at times but they encourage her to get involved and join in. I've tried the food and they have a pretty good variety. I don't think it's necessary to have three full meals a day but that's my preference. They've treated me very well and I'm considering moving in myself.

We have been very pleased with every aspect of Spring Arbor. My mother is getting wonderful care. There are many great activities to keep residents busy and engaged. The food is good and plentiful. I highly recommend Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg.

We really liked the layout of the memory care unit and the personnel. Very friendly and personable.

The facility was fabulous. Exactly what I was looking for. It surpasses where she is at the moment and I can see my mom adjusting well to this caring environment.

I am happy with the cafe here for my mom. The staff are very caring and nice. We find the community very clean. The meals are very good and enjoyed. She likes the variety of meals. We would recommend the care and value of this nice community.

My Mom is now a resident of Spring Arbor. We have been very pleased with her care. She enjoys all the activities that are provided each day. All the staff are very caring and accommodating.

This is the first place I have toured. It was bright, cheery and clean. Everything looks recently painted. Outside landscaping is attractive. The dining room looked like a lovely restaurant, tables of 4, nice fabrics on chairs and curtains. They emphasize friendliness and dignity (an alternated eating room, if there is embarrassment about being helped with food). There seem to be many activities. Also, quite a few sitting areas, with or without TVs.

I am very happy with the care that my mom is getting here. The staff is outstanding in every way. She is getting great meals and a good variety. The are offering her activities to stay active. We like the cleanliness of the community and would highly recommend other families for the value and care.

The entire staff know mom by name and got to know her needs quickly. They offer activities throughout the day as well as occasional trips off site. The food is good they offer snacks throughout the day and they stay hydrated. This community was designed with assisted living and memory care in mind. This community is diamond shaped so the nurses stations can see the entire hallway. They have a relationship with a senior medical group so someone is there once a week.

Absolutely beautiful, thought so 4 years ago when her husband would not let us move her ther . However, no memory cottage availableat this time. Would need to put her in the open facility and that would be too much for her. Not too reasonable $8200/month
