Spring Arbor Senior Living

I would recommend Spring Arbor out of any place right now in Rocky Mount, value-wise and also because of the staff. The Executive Director and the RN have been top notch. They let me know if anything is wrong with my loved one. Their marketing person is excellent and had great follow-up. She made us feel comfortable and wasn't pushy. The building itself is not upscale, but the social atmosphere is what turned us on to Spring Arbor. I don't know a whole lot about the activities, but my loved one has mentioned Bingo, music they brought in, and an outing they went on. The staff know their residents by name. I can see that they truly care and don't just ignore their residents. And that's what makes me feel comfortable having my loved one here.

The tour experience with Spring Arbor was awesome and we loved the staff. It felt very familiar when we walked in. For us it just came down to the atmosphere, the paint colors here were darker and we wanted something bright. They also have assisted living and memory care and I thought that may confuse my mom.

We went with Dominion Senior Living because they demonstrate a genuine care and concern for people similarly situated. We visited during critical times, meal time, early evening when those with memory issues tend to have more challenges, etc. There was a lot of care and concern displayed. They treat all of the residents here with the utmost respect. The size is the facility is smaller which gives them the opportunity to provide specialized care. Financially, the all inclusive pay was something that we preferred because we know exactly the amount we will be paying each month. The facility itself is more modern and has wide hallways, tall ceilings, and a lot of windows which was also important for us.

We had a really good tour experience with Dominion of Florence. The facility was newer and more modern feeling. Our loved one was deteriorating quickly and we just knew he was going to end up needing more care and assistance than they would be able to provide.

Our family had an in person tour and the facility was absolutely gorgeous but it was just to expensive for us.

Clover Hill was very easy to work with and accommodating. The staff and director not only care about the residents but the families as well. The staff were able to assist with bathing, and other daily living activities for my loved one. The staff were very quick in responding to questions or concerns that the family had. They were quick on follow up as well. Some of the activities that are available include arts and crafts, church services, and more for the residents to choose from. They also had beauty services.

We chose Wickshire Creeks Crossing because of the cleanliness of the facility and we thought it was a good deal as far as the price goes for the services that are offered. It is a smaller facility and the residents seem to get the attention that they need. We would recommend them to others.

You go in there thinking the worst, but it's actually the best. It's not at all like a nursing home - it's a true senior community, a great place where you can relax. The atmosphere is great. I love the big framed picture of a horse in the lobby, and they're right next door to a riding studio/farm. There are ties in to the military with the VFW as well. The elevator is in perfect condition. There's a good cleaning crew, and there are no typical nursing home smells. You get your own apartment, that you can set up however you want it. And you can come and go as you please. They allow animals and are welcoming to visitors. My sister loves it there. The staff are very nice, and they're great with her. I've never seen her so happy and relaxed. She's enjoying a painting class, playing piano, and she even got her picture in last month's Facebook post. They have great food, and medical attention when you need it. There's a beauty shop, a theater, and a bar that you can enjoy on site. The other residents are always welcoming to new people. I've never met one standoffish person. They're willing to show you their apartments and talk about the place. And they take the time to care for one another. It's just a terrific place!

We had a very nice tour at Dominion of Florence. The facility looked very nice. They just didn’t have anything open at the time, and they were farther away for us.

Four of us went to White Springs the other morning and met with one of their directors, who is very good at what she does. She took us around this facility, explaining how it all fits together, straightforwardly answering our many questions and asking many of her own, trying to get a sense of if White Springs could be an answer. She introduced us to both residents and staff members; everyone is smiling! Bottom line, the residents are happy, the meals are great, the place is shiny and bright. We have not made our decision yet, but some nice music is beginning to play!

The Canopy is a beautiful place. It is very neat and clean. It's a breath of fresh air. The employees are very friendly and helpful. It seems as though everyone is happy to be there.

I have a family member in memory care. Each time I visit all of the patients look clean and neat. They have started some new activities for everyone and I am so glad to see this. They got to help make cookies and roll the dough a couple of weeks ago. That was so nice and they had so much fun. There is new management that seems to be really trying to make a difference and moving in the right direction. So glad to see this! Thank you for all you do!

My aunt is living here. She has absolutely loved being here. It's always so clean and the staff seems to go above to make her comfortable. They have a social hour every afternoon that she has really enjoyed and kept her active and not just sitting around alone. Thank ya'll for being awesome.

I would say to go and look at this community. It is a comfort to know that they are in such a wonderful place. They have activities like arts and crafts, bingo, rides to see the lights, entertainment that comes in, church on Sunday and more for the residents to do to keep busy. They have a calendar of things for the residents to do and a hairdresser and doctors that come in to see the residents if the services are needed.

My dad has been at Dominion for over 4 years and is quite happy. The room is perfect for him, especially the large windows looking out at the field. As for the staff, I cannot say enough great things about them. They are thorough and professional, but what sets them apart is how they treat my dad and his needs. They are the best! I lived out of state until late 2020 and they always kept me updated on his health and anything that he needed. They actually purchased dad new slippers (out of his petty cash) while I was back home which was fabulous! I could go on and on, but they are the best and dad is safe and happy. You can trust this facility to do the best for your loved one.

My mom is in the memory care unit so they specialize in that type of care. The staff members are all very friendly. Moms seems to really enjoy the meals that are served. It has been a positive experience for us and I would recommend them to others.

We're very thankful for the staff and facilities at Dominion. My dad is comfortable and peaceful there. God bless everyone who helps him!

I thought Rosewood Village Greenbrier was a nice place, although it was a little bit more money than others we looked at. But they had a little more to offer, including a water/pool/spa feature for therapy, which I really liked but my loved one wasn't interested in. The facility was clean. The people were friendly. We had a really good tour - I really liked it here.

My loved one is doing well and it is like a godsend for them. This is the best place I have seen. The administrator, Skip, does a fabulous job and is very involved with the residents care each day. Skip is very hands on, and is accessible anytime the family needs to speak to him. The staff respect Skip. The staff seem to have a really good relationship with each other. There is mutual respect overall with the residents.. The activities are amazing! Bus rides twice a week for the residents to see the city surroundings, they have gone to a pumpkin farm, and more for activities for the residents to choose from. There are activities scheduled during the day as well. The residents are never sitting around doing nothing.

Its a really nice well ran place the people are nice and accommodating the atmosphere is nice. If I had to go here I would go here.
