I understand the stress everyone is under but this doesn't warrant rudeness and disrespect. My mother has lived at Southview for close to two years and up until recently we have always been treated with kindness. I'm positive that we aren't the only ones who call or stop by the facility with questions during these uncertain times. Trust me when I say that I know everyone is busy, I don't need you to remind me of this when I call. Hopefully, this provides some insight on how the staff communicate with us when we call. This week a care staff member informed us of several management changes, which is very concerning. Why are we the last to know when such major changes are occurring? I am very disappointed with Southview. My mother still resides at Southview and due to this I wish not to provide my name.

It is just not very good care. My mom has had multiple falls and has ended up in the Emergency Room. They are understaffed. It has not been a good experience. It has really has affected my daily life. The food is fair. It is hard the staff is not well paid and they do not seem to care about the residents. They have had a lot of staff. To see this happen is heartbreaking.

I'm not very happy with Palmilla after finding out my father in law's apartment has bed bugs. He's been out of it for one week now while they treat for the problem. Only one person called to say what happened and no one seems to want to tell us what is now happening. Even two visits has not fielded answers!

This facility may look nice, but beware of the pretty facade because it is NOT well run. The salesperson promised us the sun, moon and stars for our loved one and acted like she didn't know us once he moved in. The entire upper management team is TERRIBLE and very unprofessional. The Director of Nursing was a nightmare to deal with and regularly used inappropriate language with our family. So tacky. The staff had very little patience or skill to deal with people with dementia. The caregivers were sweet to our loved one, but not very effective overall because upper management did all of the decision making. A few of the nurses were also very good. Cedar Lake should be avoided completely and you should look elsewhere if you do not want to end up moving your loved one again at a later time.

rent is too expensive. There is alot of gossip with the staff. They think residents and families don't know but we know.

Washing machines are only in the apartments. They are small. Mine was broken for a month before it was replaced. There is one public laundry with three disgusting, moldy machines. The drawers and gaskets are covered with mold. Residents have complained for several months with nothing being done. Maintenance is poor. There's no bistro, or place to get snacks or sandwiches. We have complained about noisy residents above us, but nothing is done. We are looking for other residences. Unfortunately, all the good ones have buy-ins.

We couldn’t be more disappointed with this facility. While the front desk staff are great, the rest of the service and facility needs drastic improvement. The food is terrible and seems to be getting worse. The housekeeping service is very sporadic and my mom has gone weeks without her room getting cleaned. The resident activities are also minimal and there are none run by the actual employees of the facility- they seem to require the residence to run their own activities. Again, for a place that keeps raising the price we are very disappointed.

I moved in on [date removed]. What a mistake. The food is fair to poor. The service in the restaurant is terrible. Almost every night you have to wait 20 to thirty minutes just to get your order in. Some nights Sometimes I have waited 45 minutes for someone to take my order. In the last month the executive director and entertainment director quit as will as the assistant entertainment director. The entertainment director doubled as the bus driver. They couldn’t even a hire someone for transportation.

My dad was only there seven days and was not taken care of. We finally called an ambulance on the seventh day because his blood sugar was at 30. I would not recommend anyone's family staying in the memory care unit at Southview. They said he would have a nurse to aids and a med tech he had two aids only.

A propped-up facade designed to display a level of quality and care that is charged for, but never delivered. Priority seems to be placed on finding new ways to collect additional fees, in a disturbing "bait and switch" style of business, rather than delivering actual care. You are told "All she has to do is press this button and someone will be there to help". In reality, you are not informed that help may take 15-30 minutes to arrive, which in some cases can be the difference between life and death. Understaffed and disorganized to deliver what is promised, oftentimes to dangerous levels, where staff are placed on duties they were obviously not trained properly for, leading to mistakes in application and timing of medicine, or falls due to improper technique in assistance. While some staff are good care-givers, others don't seem to give a care and are at times condescending, snippy and outright verbally and/or physically abusive and neglectful in their handling of your family member. You could tell when you talked to some of the better staff, that even they were upset and dismayed by the disorganization and lack of competent management, many times being called in on days-off to handle a shift that they were unprepared for. Care Plans were not given to the family. House-cleaning and laundry were not done on the schedule stated, or sometimes not at all. Doors that should be locked to outside entry after 7:00pm, were always open from the outside with ease, at almost any hour after 7:00 pm that we checked, and the list goes on... It may be better suited to people who don't need assistance, but as an assisted living place I would label it as a highly dangerous place that will fill your time with problems and stress, that no one should experience, instead of a place where you can rest comfortably knowing that your loved on is being taken care of. Given that this is your experience from the outside, you can imagine the terror and anxiety your loved one is experiencing from the inside.

The facility is under new management - and been in a transition phase for 4+ months, Traditions management was let go or resigned, they put new management in place around [Date Removed] - they are all gone but one person - staff has quit or been fired, severely understaffed and undertrained - poor communication - redid their lease and tried to force us to sign it before understanding/receiving all of the changes and addendums. Changing levels of care, but with no detailed explanation of charges. We would like to be able to talk to other families of the residents to see if they are experiencing some of the same problems we are. There is no longer an activities director, you go in and see new faces every time it seems like. Its to the point that you have to reach out to Spectrum corporate with questions (not on site management because you don't know who is in charge anymore). The care given is also in question as the nursing staff is very understaffed and not trained.

I took care of a client here with my homecare agency. The staff mistreated her so badly, the administration did nothing about it. She would sit on the bedside commode for 2-3 hours, she could not wipe herself, the staff would yell at her and tell her to do it herself.. She is 95, she did not require much assistance, minimal. They did not give her baths, we had to. There is so much more that I can say, I am happy her son moved her from here, this place is very terrifying and terrible, no one should be treated that way.

We had to move parents out of there after less than a month and in with my sister. The response time for assistance and management were not as described. We were never given care and med management plans by managers, despite asking many times. When they tried to administer medicine, they had it wrong each time. Care staff turnover was high, and did not always respond at all. I called there several times at night because parents called me about non-response, and no one would answer phone. Dad taken away in ambulance first night because he got impatient for help getting dressed and fell. Mom fell and broke hip because her red button fell off in bed. My uncle does well there but he is in good physical condition. People that need assistance with walking and showers and getting dressed should think twice.

Terrible service. Meals often take 60 minutes to 90 minutes to be served. Previous ownership did a much better job of hiring and maintaining staff. The quality of food and portions have also decreased over the past 3 years. I do not recommend.

Our mother had fallen and fractured her pelvis. After a hospital and physical therapy stay, we knew she needed around-the-clock care. This was also the assessment of the Lone Mountain when they met with our mom. We chose Lone Mountain Memory Care based on their reputation and promises of quality care. Our mother was there for only eight days before we had to take her back to the hospital. She fell multiple times while in the care of Lone Mountain Memory Care. During these eight days, we had to make multiple trips and phone calls to the team to follow-up and make check-in calls which were promised. Lone Mountain Memory Care did not fulfill their care commitment, follow-through with medical escalation procedures and return our deposit which we were assured would be by the Director.

In four years, there have been over 8 different Executive Directors. You may meet someone you like, they won’t stay. The food is expensive and of poor quality. They are unable to accommodate the most basic of dietary requests. My mom can’t have potassium, yet she cannot sub out potatoes. The lock on her door was broken by EMTS when she fell because no one seemed to have access, it took over 5 months to be fixed. Why didn’t anyone have access to her?? But the final straw? She was taken to an appointment and left there. When I called the Oaks to find out when the bus might return, I was told that they thought she was ‘home’. Luckily, I am close enough to pick her up myself and bring her back, but what if I wasn’t? She’s 87, she shouldn’t have to sit on her walker for hours, waiting for the Oaks to get it together. Needless to say, she’s moved to a much better facility. Look around. It’s close by, you’ll find it.

The only thing you can see by just visiting is its not clean , it all looks good at first visit. There is a big turnover of staff, especially in the administrative staff. I am sorry, but this is not a place that I would recommend.

Prices randomly go up. No transparency as to how prices are calculated. Recently changed medication management fee, no 30day notice or how prices calculated. Initially increased price, then said they miscalculated and increased again retroactively, had PCP reduce medications, temporarily reduced back to original level, then randomly retroactively increased to higher level and said cost now includes PRN medications taken at most once a year. Many services added onto service plan are not done but we are being charged. Fee is supposed to include making bed which they never do, housekeeping which is suboptimal and sometimes not at all, food is very institutionalized. When you ask a question about pricing they fail to provide clear answers and threaten to kick out if you don't like it. Many elderly especially with memory issues would rather stay at familiar location even if suboptimal; therefore, recommend look very hard at all options before moving in loved one.

During my two year stay at The Enclave at Cedar Park, my rent increased almost [fee removed] dollars a month, for a 480 square foot, one bedroom apartment. When my daughter-in-law and I visited, [name removed] told us that it would increase between four and six percent a year. (She continued to tell future residents that the whole time I lived there.) In the meantime, the quality of the food went down, as did the number of servers in the dining room. (Most of this happened with our last CEO. I talked to her privately, but she didn't seem to care. In fact, she was VERY rude to me.) Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at The Enclave and am happy to have moved to Maple Ridge.

Run don't walk away from the Enclave food is not good and service is even worse. So many people who worked here,came and left. Work orders processed took forever or not at all. There's one person who is at the front desk who is rude and unfriendly. the concierge service originally in place was supposed to be 24/7 but not now. Front door is locked at 8:00 pm and you have to buy a key for side door to get in. Plus many more problems with the enclave,too numerous to print but I think you got the idea
