Staff is attentive and friendly, facilitates are very good; location is very convenient

We chose this facility because of the quality of care, affordable cost, and convenient location. The staff has been welcoming and caring, and we feel comfortable with the support provided to residents. I would recommend that others take time to meet with the staff leaders and ask questions so they can better understand how the facility is managed and the level of care they provide.

Size of apartments better than most I visited. Working through determining care levels is difficult, but I think that's exists everywhere I visited, but none the less is a bit frustrated. That said, they're are good to work with in terms of changing and managing care levels. Food is very good. Transportation to offsite appointments is a bit difficult to arrange and only seems to be offered on limited days / times which make scheduling appointments difficult to fit those windows

My mom really loves it there. We are trying to figure out the method of care plans and how they create the rates. I wish the communication was better. It seems once they get you in they lose interest in communicating. We don't see reports, or updates in how she is doing with her level of activities, she see's PT but we don't get any updates on progress. The food is great, the comforts are great. The lack of conditional follow up is our family's largest complaint.

My mother was in their Memory Care Facility. Her room was quite large and provided room for her bed, desk, recliner chair. Plenty of extra storage as well. Room and bathroom were always clean and maintain. Staff was courteous and interacted with the residents well. A staff member used to engage the residents with games and activities. The food was good per mother's opinion. What was the biggest help to us was engaging Hospice of The Valley to assist her and their staff in her care. She suffered from dementia which required their expertise. She was there about 4 months before she passed away for dementia. We did not interact with the other sections of the Gardens.

Tour was very professional and a very nice place to live. Pricing was a little high for our budget but the price is worth for the location.

We have fallen in love with all of the employees at Las Palomas... They are so sweet and patient in skilled at caring for my mother.… And they have our deep appreciation. The only negative element has been the turnover in the restaurant, which has been fairly constant, causing the restaurant service to be mediocre.

It is a newer facility. Staff team appeared to be friendly and attentive to the need of their residence. There were plenty of space for free or planned activities. All together, it appeared to be a fine facility

My mother likes her new apartment but is finding the atmosphere inside the main bldg depressing and doesn't want to participate with activities inside as a result. I realize that's normal aging depression but it's what she has said. Also the food evidently is horrible and the residents have officially complained many times to no avail. My mother worked for many yrs with Kitchen Angels and is not complaining since she cooks for herself. But she is concerned about what will happen if she can't cook for herself there.

They could accommodate smoking only at a level 5 which is [removed]$ more. Also the memory care is in a totally different building and hard to access the main building for a handicapped person

The place is always clean. The staff are attentive. The apartment works well. Everyone is very nice and very patient.

Traditions of Hilliard is a wonderful place! The staff are very good and the food is tasty.

As of now all seems to be working for her. Quality of care and facilities are maintained She always tells me about the activities that she participated in, which are many each week. That director is very engaged in what she provides. Negative issue was the moving in. Upon first meeting with the staff i informed them that she would need the memory care. They showed me the best rooms that were available, bed room, kitchen, separate space for couch and chairs for around[Amount removed]. Upon the nurse assessment she was indeed deemed needing memory care. I was told it just meant a different wing. What really happened was, no kitchen, 1 smaller room for bed and dresser and [Amount Removed] more.

It's was exactly the level care my mom needed. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

The facility was very bright and clean and gave me a very good first impression. The Tour/sales Director was especially nice and the kind of person I would love to have as a friend. The exercise room was very nice and I found a couple floor plans that would work well for me. I liked that each apartment had washers and dryers.

I understand that there are things that you find in every facility but the tour was wonderful and probably the first month, then a smell started in the halls. Aides are another issue that they seem less helpful. Dining is slow. The Nurses are wonderfully helpful and pleasant and the majority of management are very friendly. Plenty of activities.

Rooms are well put together and all come within microwave washer dryer and full size refrigerator.

The community itself seems the most inviting, the most vibrant, and the friendliest. I got the best overall vibe from the Enclave.

Very nice place, but my concern was no garages for your car. Liked having a large Walmart close by.

My father was a resident at Creve Coeur for only ten days. Our original plan had been for him to return there after a three-week hospital stay. We had been led to believe that the facility could manage residents receiving hospice care. However, about two weeks before his passing, a nurse from [name removed] evaluated him at the hospital and determined they could not readmit him due to his inability to feed himself and concerns about aspiration. We understood the liability concerns surrounding aspiration. What surprised us was being told that even if aspiration had not been an issue, he would not have been allowed to return simply because he could no longer feed himself. In hindsight, perhaps we did not ask enough detailed questions up front. We know that many individuals with late-stage dementia lose the ability to feed themselves, and we assumed this level of care would be provided in a memory care setting. Unfortunately, because of the facility's 30-day notice requirement, my sister was responsible for paying nearly two months of fees even though he had only been there for ten days. Perhaps this is standard practice among memory care facilities, but it felt unfair given that his inability to return was not within our control. While we understand paying for the room until his belongings were removed, paying approximately $[removed] for services he did not receive felt deeply troubling. That said, we were very pleased with much of the staff. On his first day, they were able to get him to eat foods he had refused at home and even participate in activities, which was encouraging. My sister and nephew, who had been his primary caregivers, intentionally stayed away during the first week to allow him to adjust. When they visited, they were surprised to find him in pajamas and using a wheelchair in the dining room, as he had been fully dressed and using a walker when he moved in. Staff members were unable to explain the change, which was concerning. However, two days later he was dressed and resting in his recliner, which reassured them somewhat. The facility itself is beautiful, and many staff members were kind and compassionate. When we cleared out his room, several employees stopped by to offer condolences and hugs, which we truly appreciated. The Executive Director shared that she had advocated for his return but was overruled by corporate leadership. She mentioned that they do not have CNAs to provide the level of assistance he required. We were told the facility offers five levels of care. It is difficult for us to understand what the highest level includes if it does not cover feeding assistance for residents with advanced dementia. While we are grateful for the kindness shown by many staff members, we wish we had clearer information from the beginning about the limits of care and the financial policies, as this experience added significant stress during an already painful time.
