My mother in law can be a handful and some of the staff has expressed their frustrations to her. I understand completely as I sometimes feel the same, but I do feel like that should never be expressed to the "patient". She doesn't like the food, but she's picky and hardly eats anyways. The options are very good, in my opinion. Some of the staff are great and some have issues, but that's to be expected at any business. The activities are fantastic, but she does not participate in hardly anything.

The staff is friendly and the residents are, too. The building is spacious and attractive. The Enclave provides a number of activities available to residents. The food, however, is adequate, which is the only negative.

My loved one was previously a resident at Peakview Assisted Living and Memory Care and the overall experience was good. The facility itself was welcoming and the most 'home' like. The staff that I interacted with were very caring and addressed any concerns that I had immediately. I would recommend Peakview Assisted Living and Memory Care to others.

The experience for my mother has been very good. They are overpriced compared to others in a 50 mile radius. But my mother wanted to stay in that town. They are friendly and always helpful. The facility is very clean and well-kept.

Mom has taken advantage of many of the amenities at The Gardens. She has loved going to concerts and shopping. Her biggest complaint is the dining room. I have eaten with her several times. The service is rather slow and if you dine late, they will be out of several dishes. There is a lack of places for someone to sit who doesn't want to eat with 5-6 people. She doesn't hear well and lots of people have their "groups" and don't allow a new person to sit with them. They also charge for To Go meals. Food is good. The question you are not asking is maintenance. When mom moved in the cable tv/ cable was not working. NO ONE assisted with the move. They gave her a key and that was that. They were "upgrading " Cox cable but we did not see this in writing or were informed. Her ice machine didn't work. There were no instructions how to use the in room stackable washer and dryer. Lots of digital settings that were unclear to us. The blinds on the sliding door are very difficult for my 5 foot mother to operate. I even struggle with their massive weight. The pool has been an ongoing issue. Lots of bird poop in the pool or on the pool deck. The filter /heater also hasn't been working. We are hoping they will fix this soon. We (and I mean mostly me), was left to determine on my own why mom didn't have cable tv. She was missing a cable box on the wall. Also discovered the water wasn't hooked up to the fridge so the ice didn't work. If we're in charge at "The Gardens at Octillo ", I would offer an orientation for new people. I would offer a quiet dining area. I would not put things on the menu that don't exist. They say there is late night snack of cottage cheese, fruit etc...but this is not true. No one knows why it's listed at the bottom of the weekly menus. As they say in the military, "They need to tighten up their ship". Value for money maybe a 4. We are waiting to see if they improve soon. Many residents have been there for years and say they've tried other places and The Gardens is their best experience.

We put our 95-year-old uncle in Westbrook a month ago. Unfortunately he only lived for three weeks. The staff was great. [Name removed] is very good at explaining everything and helped us a great deal. I would definitely put a loved one in there again.

Green Oaks Senior Living was great. the staff members were overall great. It is a nice facility that is clean and bright. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families

It's the element of regiment and routine that I found comforting. They could improve by having a nurse practitioner along with a physician that can make necessary adjustments readily. Because they did have an NP that would see mom routinely, but it was more fluff than substance. And in her wind down, they didn't seem to appreciate I chose my own hospice care team to see her through her final weeks. Hope this helps. I saw quite a deep decline that may not have happened if they at least had a skilled practitioner on site. Her last weeks were eminent. Overall I found Gardens well above average. I did, however, find the cost too steep near her end. I found that overall Gardens of Ocotillo is a good community for a senior, but isn't recommended for individuals with a more progressive stage of Alzheimers and Physical Disabilities.

My loved one was previously a resident at Mason Assisted Living and Memory Care and the experience was good. Based on our experience, I would recommend this facility to others. The staff are very tuned into the needs of the residents. As for Memory Care, I have no experience on that side of the facility.

Choosing this facility was easy since this was the place my mother in law liked best. Now that she is placed there, my husband and I feel like we have our life back. Since she has no concept of time we don’t feel guilty not seeing her as often as we would have, had she chosen a place closer to where we lived. We had six months of her living in our home so we got a good sense of her quirky and forgetful memory. This helps us know that when she tells us something, what is likely based on fact, and what is based on the perception of her poor memory. The one thing I hope Peakview is consistent with is helping to make sure she is keeping her portable O2 tank charged and on her person if and when she ventures out of her apartment. The staff have been friendly and accommodating when we visit, usually every 1-2 weeks. I feel that she is well looked after, and it was the right move for all concerned.

Staff is caring and friendly. Overall clean and welcoming environment. Many activities and amenities offered. Limited transportation , just weekly shopping and Dr appts. Expensive but probably commensurate with other places. There was large price increase after 6 months stay for my mom.

[name removed] was always very upbeat, friendly and made my mother happy. I never ate the food, but sometimes it smelled very greasy.

To be patient as they adjust to being there and the place gets to know them and their needs. Very professional but welcoming and homey. They were very helpful.

We have mixed feelings about The Enclave at Gilbert Senior Living. The staff has almost completely turned over since my mom went to live there. The front office staff (management) has completely changed with the exception of the front desk staff. They are having trouble with turnover in the house keeping staff. She is supposed to have her apartment cleaned bi-weekly but that hasn't happened since January 2024. The food was great in the beginning. The tremendous amount of turn over in kitchen/wait staff has caused many a dispute to spill over into the dinner room from the kitchen area causing the residents to feel uncomfortable while eating meals. The food itself went from incredible in quality to over salted/over spiced to the point of being almost inedible at times. They just hired another "New Chef" & things are improving. Hopefully this will be the start of an upswing in food quality. Not to mention that there was just a monthly rent hike of over 3%. The activities are mostly before dinner. Nothing really goes on past the dinner hour. Although the activities are very fun for the residents. My mom has appreciated using the physical therapy at the residence for her needs. The pool is well maintained. The staff has been very understanding & helpful when needed. It is a clean & well maintained facility & I am glad we found it.

As with anywhere you go, you need to be there and followup on the care. We have had trouble with mom getting her showers. We keep up with that and still have trouble at times. We did install a camera so we can see more what's going on in her room. I really like the amount of activities they provide.

My situation was extremely fluid and dynamic to the point of having to be signed, sealed, delivered within 48 hours. She was fantastic in making sure we had everything filled out correctly, and that the process was smooth. I would tell a friend to check it out because it was best that I found, great rooms, good staff. I would also tell them that [name removed) was amazing to work with.

We chose The Oaks because of the new construction and the cleanliness of the facility. Staff are wonderful. But mom keeps hoping they will offer an older musical or movie in the theater. Everything is too current for her liking.

We have been at Las Soleras for 3 years, like all places it has days and dozens but diligently works for better. Beautiful and well-maintained. Friendly and professional staff. Good food, excellent chef. Macy fun activities!

The staff always takes time to talk with me. Takes good care of my mom. Excellent place, nice people.

The aesthetic and layout is very appealing and homey which really aids the resident wanting to be there. Communication with the mgr level staff can feel disingenuous. The process was easier than I thought it would be and we feel Dad is in a safe and healthy space. Some we looked at called themselves assisted living but were very much nursing homes. This is true assisted living with a la cart service's. Additionally, this place is a great location for us.
