I researched information about adult homes in Otsego County and visit some. Plains was appealing to me for several, appealing to me for several reasons. It is new, study and safe. It has spacious, attractive and clean rooms and facilities. While is expensive, it is good value and compares favorably with other places. It provides many competent services while featuring private, respectful accommodations. Staff and residents at Plains are all cordial and pleasant. In my eleven months here, I have yet to have received a cross word from anyone. Importantly, Plains has met my crucial need for reliable transportation to medical appointments. I like it here.

I am very happy here. I moved into this community with my husband. He was only here one night. When he passed away I thought about moving back home, but I decided to stay. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful and had similar experiences and was able to make me comfortable. It is a very nice community.

Tus far, they get all 5s! The staff has a been around for a while and they are very caring and interactive with the people.

There isn't anything I don't like. I was welcomed here with open arms. Activities and meals are great because I made a lot of friends. No matter where I went. I was impressed everyone know my name right away!

My father loves the food and says the chef is talented. Facilities and maintenance are prompt and will help them with any little problem they have in their unit. The entire staff is very friendly and greets everyone with a smile.

I would give all categories a 5. Everything about Summit either met or exceeded my expectations. And for a reluctance as we were about relocating Mom, she is happy being there. [name removed] was great at getting the pre-move paperwork taken care of. The staff is very caring. The facility is very clean and does not smell like a care facility.

Facility is clean and safe. Apartments/rooms are very attractive, modern and well maintained. Mom hasn't had a bad meal yet! Staff is very friendly, very helpful and easily reached. Activities are well planned. We liked at other facilities in the area and this was by far the best. Highly recommend considering it when you start looking.

We chose The Amberleigh because of the price, location, ability to transition from independent living to independent living with add-on nurses aid services to then full-blown assisted living or memory care. There is a fair amount of distance between some of the apartments and the dining room.

Our loved one is now at The Waterford and she loves it there. What we like the most about The Waterford is the nice staff and environment.

Highly recommend The Waterford at Westover Hills! I recently moved my mom to The Waterford and the process could not have been more pleasant. Some issues began to arise on part of Hospice; however, [name removed] took ownership of the issue and after several calls and follow ups with that company, had the issue resolved. Every staff member I came into contact with was very talkative and pleasant and reassuring. Move-in day was smooth with no issues. On my first visit to see my mom a few days after move-in, my mom said, “you could not have found a better place”.

Overall happy with our choice of the Waterford of Plano.

Main areas very clean. Stairwells were not. Carpet has stains, even though they cleaned frequently. Staff was very personable and professional. Nurses were excellent. Nursing Assistants skill level varied. At times call offs with nurses made medication administration late. Especially on weekends. Administration personnel we worked with were very responsive. It is standard dietary fare. Able to request special diet or portion size. Food for special events very nice. All dietary staff very attentive and kind. There are a nice variety of activities with varying participation levels. Overall our experience was excellent. Very caring facility.

The meals sometimes are a hit or miss. The staff is fantastic- [name removed] the director is amazing, and I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

What parts make a home? A house of the correct size and quality to serve the family and family members that care for each other with love. Now you know what I found at Whitley place. The entire staff are family members who speak and serve with the same loving voice and energy. The result is that the residents feel the love and caring attitude which they share with each other just like a family. The observations I have given you are the summation over several months visiting Whitley Place. I would choose to live here at Whitley Place.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room sizes and amenities offered are great. Some things that made me choose this facility over others is the proximity to my home, cleanliness and beautiful interior.

The Residence of Chardon is a top notch assisted living facility. The atmosphere is peaceful, the ambiance and decorating is tasteful and cheerful. The staff is professional, friendly and they take their time to chat and to get to know you. They also have been attentive to my mom’s needs and requests and helped her feel at home right away. It’s a real bonus for us to have a nurse onsite 24/7 as well as an on call doctor who knows each resident. The dining experience and food is top notch. My mother has not stopped talking about how good the food is. One of the things my mom was looking for was activities and they have so many things going on she’s never lost for something fun to do. She loves her spacious room and especially the big windows bringing in plenty of natural light. I’m so grateful to have found this place for my mom. She’s looking forward to Spring when she can get out in the garden and plant some flowers.

Our family recently toured this facility looking for future placement of our mother. The Admissions Director was so kind & knowledgeable. We were not rushed & what we liked most was that she understood us & did not pressure us. We will be back in the near future. Thank you!

If you want to keep your family member safe, the wellington is the place to be. It was the safest decision I made for myself. My family was happy with my choice. The rooms are good sized, and it is pet friendly as well

The Summit Place was amazing to work with on getting my mom moved from a place that was bought out. The staff are so supportive and kind. They went above and beyond in making it easy for her! I highly recommend it!!

I moved my mom and her partner into Waterford on very short notice. I viewed 5 facilities and chose this facility. Thank goodness. Her partner unexpected passed 22 days after moving in. How do i find the words to express how wonderful, caring, nurturing, professional, etc. everybody at this facility was and still is. Way above and beyond with everything. My mother is so happy here. She tells everybody that will listen how happy she is living in this facility. She was so sad leaving her home but honestly it was the perfect timing and perfect place. She has adjusted quicker and better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend this facility.
