Attentive and caring
The staff is caring and attentive. It is a big relief to have my mom in a place with such a wonderful staff! This includes the management staff. The appear never to be bothered by questions or some very interesting questions from my mom. As far as the food goes , sometimes it is very good! And sometimes mom reports that the meat is tough and inedible.

My mother was previously a resident at North Pointe and she had a great experience at this facility. The staff was caring. North Pointe took good care of her. They did have a bed bug issue that they were treating, I guess that's to be expected? My mother was treated with love and was respected. They also had many activities available for the residents to participate in.

Fantastic Experience - Highly Recommended!
Recently, I called A Place for Mom to enlist their help in finding an assisted living facility for my mom to move into. It was kind of an urgent matter, and they were very helpful. After talking with my rep, [name removed], the first facility to call me (almost immediately) was Holiday Oakwood Hills - and [name removed], the sales manager, was beyond helpful. He listened, explained everything involved, and helped my brother and I get our mom approved and moved in in less than a week. The application and move in processes were very easy, and [name removed] and the rest of the staff have been really attentive to making sure my mom gets acclimated quickly and has everything she needs. I can't recommend Holiday Oakwood Hills highly enough!

Finding peace and care for you & your loved one.
I would rate each one a 5. The Heritage took great care of mom, she enjoyed the activities and getting her hair done frequently. Everyone gave me a peace of mind knowing she was no longer alone. Nurse [name removed] was excellent at keeping us informed. My siblings enjoyed the meals shared with her. I can't put a value on that peace I found while she was there. She passed on[date removed] but had better quality of life while at the Heritage. My thanks to their staff and yours for making that possible.

Maintenance-when there is something I have asked for help with, I have gotten the quickest response. She had a problem with her toilet and it was addressed immediately. Even had a problem with her walker not rolling well and they fixed it without question. That is above and beyond what normally happens in other facilities my mother has lived at. I find them to be very organized there. It makes the entire process so much less stressful on the resident as well as the family.

I would highly recommend it. My mother loved it there until her dementia progressed to the point where she couldnt live there.

I would recommend this facility.
The Marketing representative was very helpful in making the transition from filling out paperwork, touring the facility, to moving in. Housekeeping does great at cleaning and food is very good and severed in a nice setting daily. We have been well pleased so far.

Our Experience
You as a family member must be present and participate in your parents' life while they are there. It also helps to communicate with staff on a positive level and ask them about their lives. Be personal so you build a relationship with them as well. Our grandfather was also there in 2003-2005 and was treated with respect and great care.
