My father did not end up going to The Waterford at Fairfield. He said he was ready to go, I talked to them and they had an apartment available for him, and he was set to go. Since I live in Florida, they took him there on the last Friday in October, and met with a totally different person than the one we had met with previously, and overheard the person say to my brother "I don't think your dad is a good fit for this place". Having heard that, dad was upset and changed his mind. Yet they still took the check we had written and deposited it and we have not been able to get any of the money back, so we lost the money based on something they had said and done. I do not feel that they should have kept the money given what happened. It was a very nice place, but I just felt that with what happened things were handled really bad.

I wouldn't put my dog in Wyoming Springs. The experience was not good at all. My mother in law was not given the proper care while there. She fell numerous times, and each time she pressed the emergency button for help, no one ever came. I'm not happy at all with Wyoming Springs. Also they would not administer her pain medication to her. Not a good experience at all. As for a rating, they don't even get a 0.

Memory care appears beautiful, but beautiful does not help your loved one. One of the medications was not given for 4 days, her xanax, not good, I got a copy of her medicine chart before discharge. Meals were hard hamburgers and sorry but mother could not eat this, it pulled her dentures out! The alternative is to grind the hamburger, yuck. then it took 3 hours to get a grilled cheese sandwich. I took care of my mother for 7 years and had no problems with what foods to eat, just common sense. Why cant they pick easy foods for seniors to eat. Some of the residence could not feed themselves and I saw no one helping them. Mine has dementia and I told them she needed plenty of water throughout the day, their response was "the water is in the kitchen area down the hall", like she could remember. If you want them to go to any activities, you have to take them to the assisted living side or hire someone to do so. The workers were normally gathered in the eating area socializing. The memory care unit is a joke for $4,000.00 a month. I pulled her out, could not stand it anymore and brought her home for 2 days until she got into the personal care home. Make sure you visit frequently and unexpected. Piece of mind knowing your loved one is being taken care of is the most important, not just a fancy facility. The respite care gave me no break because I was always having to check to make sure they were doing their job, not so.

First impressions, run down and mis-managed! Of several assisted living locations I looked at each day in a week....this was my first experience to be rushed thru both assisted living and memory care under 10 mins total. Management appeared stressed and rushed to get rid of me. Dark, dim lights and smells.

The place has really gone down hill. The Nurse is not very friendly at all. The new Director is not very knowledgeable at all. Had not idea what the floor plans were at all. She had no shoes on and looked a bit frumpy. The Assisted Living side was well decorated but the Independent living side has no table cloths and looked terrible. The Food Service person was kind of rude as well. I ask her about the menu and she said she did not have time for me right now she was busy. I would not bring anybody here at all.

We are served frozen food. The meal that is served at noon is the same meal that is served at the evening meal. All of the meat that we are served is frozen and heated up in the microwave. We are seniors and please do not insult our intelligence. The menu says Cornish Game Hen and what do you get ??? ... a chicken leg. The menu says Salisbury Steak and what do you get....A pile of hamburger meat with some gravy on it...come on.....us seniors are not dumb.... most of the meat is tough and why....because it is left over from the noon meal. The meal sits there all day and is heated up in the microwave and served at the evening meal. Enough....do not want to give away everything.

What we were told and what was written in care plans for our family members did not happen. Too few caregivers and way too many seniors needing help; staff turnovers, no-show help, especially on weekends; other than taking residents to meals, help was pretty nonexistent. Call bell rings were not answered at all or perhaps 20, 30, 60 min. later or more. Management of no help, mostly excuses. Our opinion: Do not choose Pacifica! Very poor attention to their residents.

I really didn't care for this place. Most of the units we saw had large cracks in the walls and the kitchen counters, like the foundation was not stable. It also seemed very dark, not bright and cheery.

Already done a tour and didn't like the facility. Per Brian, if they drive your loved one to the Dr....they do not take your loved one into the Dr.'s office

I was most upset about how it was when we left. This was always supposed to be temporary, until we could get some financial matters settled. When our loved one told the employees that we would be moving, they really bad-mouthed the new place, and they told him he wouldn't be happy there, that he would be back and that the food would be terrible. They were doing all they could to cause him to be doubtful. He had come to trust these people and they were telling him these things. They were trying to badger the seniors into staying. That causes a lot of anxiety. The food wasn't horrible here, it was disgusting. A lot of plain chicken and broccoli. They would tell you that they had exercise equipment, but it was all broken the entire time, and we were here a year, but I have heard it's been broken for multiple years. They also say they have wi-fi, but it only works in the front lobby. There were a lot of lies up front. It wasn't dirty but it was an older place.

Just Assisted living - not Independant No Did not visit.

They weren't catching things they should catch. The level of care, and the cleanliness of his room, was not good, there were ants. He always looked dirty. They didn't really help out with transportation to the doctors. The doctors didn't communicate well with us, we would ask to set up a time to call in and he would come at a different time. Sometimes they wouldn't order his medicine, and we don't think he always got his medicine. The other residents are not cognitively there. They were pretty good with activities. He was in bed and not moving for at least a day and they didn't catch it.

Not impressed. Nothing going for it....

Very negative experience, the staff seemed very fake and like they were told to be nice. No staff present in memory care for hours even during meals, snacks are thrown to them like dogs. Our loved one was removed from memory care as they fell unmonitored which caused a broke hip

I turned them into the state and I got a letter back from them saying they found them guilty in all areas that I accused them of. The state said they would most likely be shutting the facility down. He also fell 3 different times- one so badly he was in the hospital for a hematoma. They had never put him in his bed and he tried to get up to walk to bed and fell and they never checked on him. I put cameras in his room after that so then they stopped putting him in his room. I would go to visit and find him in corners by himself in his wheelchair. They were overmedicating him so much that he did not know where he was. The reason I called the state in the first place was because we had a 3rd party care service and they were the ones who told me to get him out of here immediately and call them.

The community fell short of their promises made to the family. The community didn't communicate with the family to let us know how weak our loved one had become. I believe the communication with the family about our loved one should have been more proactive on what my loved one was needing. My loved one was not receiving a medication during their stay here. The community is adamant that they were giving all my loved one their medications during their stay. We weren't impressed with the staff, as it seemed to be that the family was doing more to support our loved one in the community. They didn't even bring out my loved one belongings to the car when we decided to move my loved one out of the community either.

We were not even here 24 hours - it was the worst experience. There was poop on the toilet seat, the lightbulbs in the room did not work, they hung her tv and it fell off the wall and nearly knocked her out. I visited the next morning after moving her in at 1030 and they had still not fed her breakfast. I would definitely not recommend Whitley Place.

I did not have a good tour experience at The Remington at Valley Ranch. It was very institutional feeling and I just got a creepy vibe. The rooms were old and tired and needed some major updates. It is also not in a very good location.

We had a horrific experience at this community. This community called me to pick my loved up about a day after I dropped him off for respite care. There was a lot emotionally that this experience caused. I would say to stay away and not even consider this community.

I would want people to know if your loved one has any mobility issues, this is not the place for them. It is for able bodied people with memory issues and nothing else. The facility is beautiful and all of the people are so nice, but during check in they forget to tell us major key details, it was chaos. I had sat there and gone over a care plan with them the Friday before for an hour and then on check in day they pulled me back in and started the whole care plan again, so they must have lost everything we went over. The whole thing was problematic. I had told them that she was a big fall risk and that someone needed to be watching her very closely. The toilet in her room did not have railings or anything like that. She ended up falling right away (3 times actually) and the last time she hit her head and went into the hospital. After she got back, we ended up taking her out right away. She had a massive bruise on her forehead and they tried to cover it up. It was a terrible experience. We got a refund.
