Rosemont is very close to where we live but I would not consider it because It looked like a hospital and was cold.

I have not been happy with the care from this community. This community does not have a good assistance on medications. The staff does not have good communication skills. This community does look nice and they have nice room. If you need full time care. . Families should tour this community before they have a loved there

Very caring. Always on top of things with each resident. Call to let you know if meds being changed. Dr. [Removed] extremely nice and caring. Food is great!! Sarah at front desk is exceptional. Every business needs more positive, friendly people like [Removed]

This community has been a horrible experience to say the least. Things that we were told that were gonna be done were not. We originally liked the place because of the apartment and the things that they said. It quickly changed. They also have a small dining room for the memory care unit.

Not a very respectful place. My loved one received good care but the adies seemed overworked. The food looked terrible and everytime I came in the management wasn't very friendly.

Very first night Nov 2016 I arrived with my mother in a wheelchair Friday night 7 pm. Two staff were talking all the residents were already in bed. CNAs kept talking to each other, didn't even know mom's name very rude and didn't offer assistance to my husband mom or me with items we brought for her stay. 10 days later back from vacation. I had nurse call EMT and mom transported immediately to ER at West Florida Hospital for decubitus sores on both her feet that were so bad the photos would make you ill. Once admitted she had to stay 4 days to be well enough for discharge and come to find out the sores were the least of her problems. Prior texts and emails to the executive director went unanswered. Do you think anyone called me to see how my mother was doing during her hospital visit or absence from this facility? NOT ONE CALL OR EMAIL. THEY GOT HER MONEY AND THAT WAS IT - WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT.

I helped move my grandmother in here. It seemed like a lovely place. We paid extra for a room near the dining hall, because my Grandmother uses a walker. The GM forced my grandmother to move to a cheaper smaller room down the hall. She told her that her room was being demolished in the renovations. THIS is not true as her more expensive roo. Has already been re-rented. My grandmother is still being charged the rate for premium room. Im not sure if this is illegal but its definitley immoral. Shame on you [Removed]

I came to visit my parents. As my morher was enjoying time with her friends the manager known as [Removed] stormed up to the ladies and began barking at them "The wall is here" She then began raising her voice to them as they tried one of the ladies tried talking with her. [Removed] then stormed off.

There is not enough space on this site for me to put down every issue we had with my Mom while at the Wellington of Dayton. I even attempted to raise issues to their parent company [Removed] and after all the documentation I sent to them, I can't get them to return my phone calls. During the time my Mom was at the Wellington of Dayton, we had numerous conferences with the Director and head of nursing, but we did not see any positive outcome from our concerns/complaints. There were 3 times I found my Mom un-responsive and called 911, there were numerous times she called me to say that they had not responded to her call button. While the actual care givers seem to "care", there were not enough of them to support the promises made prior to signing the contract. The worst thing that happen was my Mom had untreated wounds, which is extremely dangerous. The new facility we moved her too discovered them on day one and called in wounds specialists to ensure they were treated. The Wellington will talk a good story when they are showing you the facility, but if your loved one needs assisted living this is not the place you should choose. During the time my Mom was there, it was daily visits to ensure they were doing what we were paying for them to do. There was no peace of mind until we moved her to another facility in the area.

Food service is consistantly poor. Mother and father live on grilled cheese sandwiches which consists of two pieces of toast with a slice of cheese thrown on it!. Kitchen staff are kids with no cooking experience. The kitchen routinely runs out of food. So if you're not in the dining rm at 4pm. , the main entree is gone by the time 5 pm comes around. Complaints and suggestions go unanswered.

My parents lived in this community for a year and a half. Fortunately I (adult child) lived within walking distance of The Waterford, as I needed to check on them daily. There were so many issues of concern, that we made the difficult decision to move them back to their original place of residence three hours away. It was a decision made in order for them to have a safer, happier, generally better quality of life. The main issues were frequent turnover of staff, the frequency in which we found my mother's meds on the floor. My mother was an assisted resident and her meds were to be administered by staff. The meal service was extremely poor quality and not nutritionally balanced. Laundry was to be done by staff and their apartment included a washer and dryer. It was often the case that a load was put in the washer early in the day and then forgotten. I would then find the load that had been left and it was drying, while in the washer. The clothing that was put in the dryer were often so wrinkled, that I would take them home to iron the items because they were too unsightly to wear. The pool was frequently out of service, the fitness center was equipped a treadmill, and two older stationary bicycles. The free wifi was frequently unavailable and not secured. The lack of security was not disclosed to the residents. The carpeting throughout the property was worn, the wallpaper was coming off the walls in several places. I have pictures, but am unable to upload and attach to this review. The executive director was not at all responsive to the overall lack of concern that was expressed by the residents and their family/caregivers. He had hired a former employee as the sales associate and spent an enormous amount of time with her off-site.

My parent has been at this facility for 3 years. I visit often. The common areas are nice. There are problems in other areas. The food is pretty bad. Housekeeper visits once a week in individual spaces are not adequately cleaned. Because of frequent short staffing, wait time for response to call button can be over an hour. Some of the care staff and the activity director are wonderful, but there is a high turnover for care givers and not much training. Staff often don't show up for evening or weekend duty. Medication management is a huge problem. Important medications have been allowed to lapse for up to 3 days. They have changed pharmacies 3 times since we've been here. They blame the pharmacy or the doctors' office when medications run out. Recently, they have double ordered medications and failed to give current pharmacy. I have been told by visiting professionals that most facilities have similar problems. Patients will definitely need an advocate!

I don t know how to rate this. I went to this facility on a Sunday and waited in the lobby for 10 minutes and saw no one. I went out to my car and called the facility and spoke with someone who advised me that they didn’t t offer respite care. Later someone from the facility called me and when I advised her of what happened she was quite upset and was going to find out why no one was there and why I got the answer that I did on the phone

Before visiting the facility, I called and spoke to Mrs. [name removed]. I did not get a good vibe from her on the phone but decided to still check it out. If you are putting a loved one in assisted living, it is extremely hard for them and the family. Upon arriving the lady told me to sit and wait to speak with her which was fine. As I'm looking around I'm noticing that they have all of the residents just sitting in one big room. None of the staff is talking to them. They were just all sitting there looking very unhappy. Not one staff member took the time to even notice or speak to the residents. Which bothered me. As she finally makes time for me she looked very messy. Her office was trashed and left the door open whIle we talked. There was no privacy. I did not feel that she cared whether or not I was interested at all. She was not interested in getting to know my grandmother, or her condition. I was shown a room that someone was already living in. I felt I was nicer to the lady than Mrs. Benna was. I felt as if she blew her off and went through her home as she pleased. She kept telling me and showing me all these "great activities " but yet they were all in one room just sitting there. My grandmother is a very outgoing person once she is comfortable in her surroundings. I was ready to go within the first 5 minutes of her opening her mouth because it was all a bunch of crap. I can see my grandmother saying hello to her and trying to get to know her, or she may have a couple of questions and she would feel as if she was a bother. I have visited other facilities, and this for sure was the most unprofessional and nursing home like facility I have ever came in contact with. The rooms were horrible and small. There was a tiny refrigerator and a very small microwave in the living room. There was no kitchen at all. No counter space anywhere. On the phone she made it seem so glorious. She asked no personal questions, but yet I'm here to view a what I thought was a good home for my grandmother. I was disappointed and could not belive how the director of the facility treated me and the nice lady that she barged in on. I would not dare have any loved one living there. If you do I highly suggest you try your best to find a more suitable place because this was definitely not it. She personally should be ashamed of the way she presented and represented herself and her facility. If I had taken my grandmother with me I would have been embarrassed, and she probably would think every place is like that which is not the case. I would rate this place a -5. If you have other choices please go with them. Do not let her sell you and your family a dream. It's a joke.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! This place Overcharged us for service NOT RENDERED. Make no mistake. This is a RIP OFF JOINT. Administration is CROOKED. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Never never will i put my mother in here the staff is very rube and the place is not clean over the pasis three years they have fired all the good help and put people in there that justt dont. care for the people there sorry this place is not. A good place at all .

This place is horrible.the stuff are really rude and the head people are mean,never send your family members here...

I am not very happy with them right now. The communication with the family is not good. Every time I check with them they tell me someone would have to get back to me. Nobody ever does. When I checked the nurse she couldn't even tell me what medication she needed. I'm there every other day, and I never see the head nurse.I'm paying for care I'm not getting, not getting showers. She raves about the people that serve the food, namely Jessica.

The Waterford mislead us on a lot of things. We are very unhappy with services there in the memory care unit. It is substandard. We are giving our 30 day notice next week.

I can only speak to the memory care unit. My mother lived there for about a year. She originally went to Waterford for assisted living but it was quickly determined that she needed more supervision. In the memory care unit, the residents are just housed. There are very few activities. The TV is on and they have pictures to color, bingo, or puzzles sitting out. If the resident is not needy, there is little interaction. My siblings and I rarely saw my mom look clean and fresh. Although they said she was bathed regularly, we couldn't see the evidence of it. When I removed her socks to trim her toenails, her feet were not clean, any time. When she had a sore on her back, no one there noticed it until it became infected and she complained to my sibling. I believe that if she had been bathed regularly, there would be no way to have missed that. We began noting that she wore the same clothes day after day. Using a marking system, we could see that the sheets on her bed were not changed every week. And finally, we found an inconsistency with her medications. When we went to the front office to address our issues, we were always given excuses, or told that we were wrong. I believe the memory care unit was an after thought and that although there are a few really nice people working there, the management of the Waterford uses their time to mask the problems they are having. I cannot speak to the regular assisted living at the Waterford. But I do know that when we voiced our concerns, the management was not willing to admit that anything was wrong or that anything needed to be changed. As a contrast, in her new residence, she is always clean, when there is an issue it is immediately addressed, and although Mom has few needs, the people there are consistently involved with her.
