I would never recommend this community to anyone. Communication is not good and you can not get ahold of any if you have questions. Their billing system is hard to understand. I had just a horrible experience. There have been many times I have gone to the community and there are only one or two people that we see. They did not disclose all of the fees and we had some surprises on our billing. They changed care level types without discussion and they even back charged us for the previous months.

[name removed] was very nice until we started asking questions & then got very snippy with his answers. Pretty much a jerk at this point - stood with his back to us in the elevate to see 1 room - he did not show any thing outdoors, the rooms, dining, etc - very rude & again he was very upbeat & nice & loud when we first arrived but got very defensive when we begin to ask questions about housekeeping, meals, laundry, etc - WILL NOT BE LOOKING IINTO THIS PLACAE SINCE IF THEY ARE THIS WAY TO SHOWCASE THEIR PLACE, WE CAN ONLY THINK OF HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE THERE

Do not use this community look someplace else. The is too much incompetency here. I would not recommend this community to others.

The Benton House presents very well; however the care my parents received was filled with errors, shortcomings and ended with the resignation of the Executive Director. Upon his removal, things continued poorly. My father suffering from dementia, had his room moved without contact with family members, who visit regularly. This obviously caused my father’s mood to be altered. My father is legally blind, his glasses were misplaced for a period of time, wasn’t noticed until a family member visited. After a search of the memory care unit, his glasses were found. COVID-19 cases are prevalent with the staff and residents. Unfortunately, after 6 short months in the Benton House, I lost my father to complications from COVID-19 . The Benton House may have good intentions; however, I would really research this facility and come to your own conclusions.

Beware if you care about your loved ones do not allow them to be a resident at The Waterford at Virginia Beach!! The Waterford at Virginia Beach does not care about their residence they only care about money! They have a huge turnover rate! The med techs are not trained well! They are currently being investigated by the licensing department of social service for infectious disease violations pertaining to Covid violations! Nurses speaking to residence without masks on! The food is in edible! Since my parents have lived there the turnover rate is astonishing! They cannot keep workers at all and it’s because the conditions Working there and living there or unacceptable! Protect your family do not allow them to live at The Waterford at Virginia Beach!

If you love your family members do not let them live at The Waterford at Virginia Beach! They only care about money they have no empathy or sympathy for the residence! My parents while living there there were so many different guidelines and rules that were violated so many so that social services is currently investigating The Waterford at Virginia Beach! Do not leave your parents there!

From what we saw the community seemed clean, however our loved one had a stroke last year and the community did not call 911 or an ambulance because he was living in independent living and it was not there place to call for help.

The Waterford at Fairfield has recently hired the agency senior helpers to come in for care, and we have not had a good experience with them. We had an issue with stealing and the facility has not done anything about it or compensated us. I would never recommend this facility to anybody as long as they are using senior helpers.

This community does not return phone calls, the communication is lacking greatly which is unacceptable. Our loved ones personal items would go missing and since COVID we have not been able to go in and pick up our loved ones belongings since has has now passed away. They would have to have volunteer workers come in because they could not hire new employees. When we were able to go visits we would find the employees asleep in chairs because they would have to work multiple shifts in a row. The only individuals we liked and dealt with were the CNA's that took care of the residents, we had no problems with them

2140 - only independant. A little older but well kept and friendly staff. Guest were eating in the dining area and seemed happy and engaging. One guest approached me to ask me why I was there. She had been there for 6 years and said that she loves it there. Not much outside area but that is not an important issue for me.

We moved my dad because he was a fall risk at home and my mom could no longer care for him. However, my dad was there for less than 8 hours and he wasn't supervised so he fell out of the wheelchair, which was being used a chair, and cracked his his open. He was taken with the hospital and released to a rehab, however, due to fall and now being confined to a wheelchair, the Waterford refused to accept him back. After I initiated and strongly requested my parents money back, they still charged them for half of the month and were not refund the community fee.

I’m not notified in a timely manner when my mother needs refills on her prescriptions. Once they notified me 5 days !! AFTER she ran out. The most recent incident mother had only 3 days remaining on one med when I was notified she needed a refill. One nurse even went as far as falsifying moms chart, documenting she had given mom med that she had ran out of. On a not so serious note, the cable satellite service is horrible. I notified the so called President of cedar bluff in Mansfield, [Name removed] on [date removed] of this issue, which at that time she stated she was aware and other residents had complained as well. She said she would get back to me with a resolution, as of [date removed] I’m still waiting for the resolution. As far as I’m concerned the administration leadership is horrible and just full of excuses and fluff. They listen to your concerns but DO NOTHING to resolve them. I would move my mom out of there in a heartbeat but my mother loves the residents she’s made friends with and majority of the support staff. It would be a great move for me but not such a great move for Mom right now. This place stresses me out and I have little trust in them.

I cannot recommend this facility.

Took our loved one out within a month! Worst patient care ever! Food served was horrible and not edible! More patients on falling the floor and waiting for help than those walking. The entire staff consist of 5 ppl now, not enough to offer help to.anyo e there. Also meds are given by staff with no knowledge of what or when to take it. We found out by observing and catching these liars in the act. Our loved one was not given her meds properly and mostly not at all! We have the proof of that. If you love your loved ones..DO NOT PUT THEM IN HERE OR ANY OF THE HOMES OWNWD BY CAPITOL!! Do your research...ask about the lady who escaped and got killed in the parking lot, or about the patients that actually made it up onto HWY 81!! This company tried sueing us for not paying that month due to the lack of everything...guess what, they LOST..because I have the proof. If I could shut all of these places down I would!!! Please look at the reviews on many other sites as the Capitol company pays people to post good comments. Hopefully my honest comment makes it out there to anyone considering this [language removed]!! Some reviews are even from former staff...please, please, please dont do this to your loved one?? It wouldnt low me to put less than 1 star, but I would!!

Woodlands has a bed bug infestation. They use sub-par pest control company (Orkin) that does not do a good job. They only treated one room instead of the common areas and the entire facility. Upon further inspection, we found the bed bugs were brought into rooms by the laundry facilities. The Woodlands does not hire or replace quality help. They all stand outside and smoke. The pay is very low. I would NOT recommend this place for your loved ones!

The Director ([name removed]) at the Courtyards at Lake Granbury turned her back on my brother that was in their memory care unit. Rather than trying to help him, had him involuntarily committed to Wellbridge Hospital without notice to his family. Subsequently he passed away three months later. He was a healthy 63 year old man with no prior problems at the facility, but the chaos that ensued after they kicked him out was too much for him to handle. He simply needed consistency and stability, and that’s what the facility offered him for the three years he was there until they turned their back on him. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!

If you are looking to apply for the Aid and Attendance Benefit through the VA, and live here. Run. Honestly, I'm very disappointed in how things have gone with the Jefferson. We chose the Jefferson for many reasons, one being the community and that she would be able to age in place here thus making that cost minimal over time, now having literally no other choice but to move not even a year after moving in means that was an exorbitent amount per month (she lived here from December to the end of March). We were told by [name removed] that we wouldn't have any issues with the VA getting approved for this specific location for Aid and Attendance because many have gotten it approved. However, when we met with the VA their response was polar opposite of this. That the facility did not meet the requirements and while she would get some funding, that none of the cost of the facility could qualify for being counted towards what she would get ultimately leaving her over $700 short a month for the facility. Added to the fact that this has caused immense amount of mental and emotional stress for both her and I and they are sending us a invoice for the total PLUS additional outstanding balances, which there should be none is frustrating. Even while she was there they would promise to advertise her interest in teaching new games etc but in the months she lived there they never changed the games played

[Name removed] is truly a [language removed]! Just rude and fake....rolls her eyes when she doesn't want to do her job or when residents have a question. No one here ever knows what's going on here and always blames other staff members for things that already should have been addressed. The residents are amazing but as far as the stinky [language removed] goes, she is trash who thinks she is better than others....NOT!!!!

We moved mom in on Jan 24, 2019. Someone stole her new clothes we brought for her on monday the 4th and friday the 8th then over the weekend that we did not show up which was Feb 9th and 10th when we come to visit her on monday the 11th, most of her new clothes were replaced with old clothes and only 5 to 6 pieces of her new clothes were left. That was less then 2 weeks that we moved her in and We were very disappointed. They are looking into this situation at this time. We were happy with the service they provided for mom until this happened. We are fair about the whole situation and hope this can be resolved soon.

I have confidence that my Mom is getting excellent care at Georgetown Place. The employees and residents are very friendly and helpful. They provide a safe and loving environment. They provide every service you could want. The food is excellent.
