My loved one was there a short period of time. The woman who did the evaluation did a good job. Overall, I don't think this was a place where I would have kept my loved one long term. The food was not that good. It would be nice if they offered orientation for new residents. We experienced theft of her belongings after my loved one, passed.

The place is infested with bedbugs some tenants have gotten them four or five times and charged substantially for each extermination one. Patient has no contact with the outside whatsoever. They are being brought in by the staff. Also, be very careful as to where you sit there. They are also in the furniture in the lobby and dining area.

My grandfather was a resident at Anthology of Mayfield Heights for a short while and they were terrible, it was a horrible experience and we would never recommend this community to other families.

I lived at this facility from [date removed]. During my stay I had no HOT running water in my apartment. I paid $[removed] for these conditions. I gave my 30 notice on [date removed]. I was told by [name removed](General Manager) if I was out of my apartment by end of business of day on [date removed] they would only charge me $[removed]. I moved out at 11:30 a.m. and two days later they took out $[removed] on my bank account. The Veterans Administration is involved; however [name removed] refuses to give me or the VA a detailed invoice. Refuses to return phone calls and emails so in my humble opinion this is a very unethical company. BEWARE of this company because this could happen to you. Research other reputable retirement homes before deciding.

My parents were in the memory care unit for 9 months - 1year and they did not receive the care that was promised to us. The staff did not follow their own policies and procedures. The staff were under staffed and under qualified.

My loved one was in the community. The staff were caring. The activities were good. Unfortunately, we saw two staff members have a physical fight in front of residents. Another staff member called a resident a mean old lady.

The Waterford has been in a rapid decline after they let go of the other administration and brought in the new people. Food is terrible! No hot water seems like more often a days. It’s so dirty and honestly walking in even the employees look like they are depressed to be there. We will be moving my grandmother out soon! Just as all the other residents seem to be. Would not recommend for the price you can have your loved one live someplace nicer! Definitely need to fire the administration and start fresh!

We didn't have a good experience with the community. I wouldn't recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There were several residents in the memory care unit, and not enough staff to care for the residents. There were several occasions that my loved one would go several hours without staff checked on. There was a medication that came up missing. When this was brought up to the staff by the family, they said they didn't order a refill of this medication in time. My loved one went through withdrawal and this caused our loved one to fall multiple times. The staff told the family that memory care residents would have to ask for pain medication; however, memory care residents don't know how to ask for this. I would like to see the staff here be trained on what to look for in regards to pain in residents. The water cup was always dry when the family would visit our loved one. We asked on several occasions that this be filled on a constant basis to keep my loved one hydrated.

Horrible administration. They will say anything to make themselves look good. Don't buy into it. This could be a nice place if they had good people running it. Do your research and stay away.

DECEPTION - FRAUD My mom lived at your facility [date removed]. Why did she move out? Your deception of unit pricing, your inability to ever give us an itemized list of charges, disorganized "on-boarding" experience, showing up in the rain with my mom for 4pm meeting pre move-in & no staff showed up, keeping her under lock down for 10 days for a 24 hr fever called "covid" when the CDC said a lock down would be only for 5 days, and that incurred us extra charges for meal delivery and extra care which she did not need, double charging for the $[removed] deposit, it was refunded, but after 3 requests never receiving a receipt for the deposit, never fixing her hard to open kitchen and bathroom drawers, emails never answered, calls never returned, repeated requests to adjust the malfunctioning thermostat, urine stained caulking around toilet base never got redone, increasing price of guest meals after we were quoted a lower price, need I say more? 1-star rating is too high

This place is horrible. They tell you what you want to get you in the door and then don't follow through. My mom was over dosed on her BP meds and no one was following up by taking her BP. They drop meds on the floor and give them to patients. They are not giving my father back the money and keep charging him monthly even though they no longer live there. It's a [language removed] show.

I was not impressed. They didn't give us a tour. They only shared us the lobby area.

We toured this community and were not impressed, it definitely had more of a nursing home feel to it.

What North Pointe can really work to improve on is their responsiveness. We are still waiting for someone to call back after contacting them multiple times.

The reason we gave Benton House an overall rating of 1 star is because the management has not been good, it is terrible to have to call and call everyone.

I wish I could leave zero stars. The new manager here is HORRIBLE, my mother might as well stay at home alone and save her money. I have mentioned my concerns to the manager on several occasions, I have emailed her and left messages, there is no follow through, at this point, we have decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

We had a very good experience with the tour. In the short amount of time my loved one was here, it was apparent they were short staffed. In fact, the Executive Director was the chef and the other Management Team were the servers in the dining room. They weren't able to meet the dietary restrictions for my loved one. Due to this my loved one had to go to the hospital due to medical concerns based on the food that was served. Overall it was not a good experience for us. We found the lowest level of caregivers here weren't trained as they should be.

I have done walk tour's of multiple care homes. But when I went to Anthology the Director of Sales was very non chulant when we asked questions. The staff were on their cell phones. I seen a staff member getting off the elevator on their phone, while a resident was screaming for help. The sales person said 'oh that's just dementia '. So I decided to go on a solo tour on a Saturday evening. There was no one at the the door to let me in, so I waited for 10 minutes. I do not like the appearance, so we declined to move forward.

I visited my mother, who has been living there for the past month, in the community today (Sunday). In the main lobby, the personnel were swearing. My mother had to wait more than an hour to obtain a hamburger from the kitchen. It took thirty minutes for the charge nurse to arrive after I called for her. The net result is that we are already preparing to have our mother removed. The cuisine is abhorrent. The person who gave us the initial tour led us to a room that was barely clean. In addition, the surroundings is simply unclean. The hallways are accessible from the parking lot. I don't suggest a move in.

If your loved ones have special needs, discuss that ahead of time with them. We were told by management that our loved ones special needs would be met, but the staff were unable to do so. We moved out of here in October and are still waiting for a refund. It was a short experience but a lot of things went wrong and we were very unhappy, I would not recommend The Waterford at Colby.
