They did not keep my Mom clean. They didn't change her clothes for 4 days or brush her teeth. Her pads were discusting! I started marking the underside of her pads to see if they changed them every day and no they didn't. At least 10 times she had b.m on her bottom her pad and some times on the toilet.. I went through her dirty clothes and there were only 2 pair of underwear and 1 pair of socks and her tooth paste was still in unopened box. They didn't go outside or wash their hands before eating. Only when this one gal was on duty did mom get water offered to her. Her bedroom floor had not been mopped for at least 2 weeks. She cried all the time. She brought magazines and coloring books with gel pens but no one would offer them to her. It was absolutely freezing in there. I feel sorry for everyone living there. Many residents don't have family to come and check.I didn't know there was a third man living there for over a month because I never saw him but 1 time. Please no referrals

My father's experience with Amberleigh, was terrible? He was only there for <3 weeks and it cost him over $[removed] and they would not give any back. We had everything out of the room so that they could re-rent the room at the beginning of August and they still would not refund him any of his $[removed]. So my father's experience and my experience with Amberly was terrible and I would never recommend anyone to go there.

First meeting [name removed] seemed like a great caring facility. However, we are entering month 4 and nothing has been as we were told. The staff is very kind, but things are not functioning in a way that is acceptable. A new team is currently in so hoping things change for the better, but as of now the food is a disaster, no set menu to residents, no indication there is any dietician and the quality is lacking immensely. The bus has not run almost for the entirety of my grandmothers time here. No outings, no transport, cancelled events etc. activities are limited and it’s especially detrimental to someone like my grandmother who relies on social interaction. She’s had maintenance issues in her room which damaged some of her most expensive furniture and belongings (flooding from ac unit that lasted for weeks) and then had the audacity to say it was from her 2 cup cat watering bowl?! When the entire living room flooded and they had to put a new unit in twice. Things are not good here.

My mother was there, and I can tell you the care is second rate. The memory unit is nothing like the assisted living. People in that unit suffer with dementia the hands-on staff consist of anyone who will take the job, job openings in that unit are a revolving door. These patients cannot speak for themselves. Both my brother and sister and I brought many issue`s to their attention, both to the staff and the management, we were always yes `ed to death with no results or at least long-lasting results. Many times, one of would go as we tried to make a point for one of us to drop in daily, and she would be in need of an undergarment change. Simple instructions like applying the daily pain patch to her were ignored. It always amazed me how the half hour check in sheet would be already filled out and initialed for the entire day. It was not a well cleaned unit. .A raging infection from not being cleaned properly after bowel movements. 30 days intravenous /hospital inpatient.

Dirty , stunk, staff was mean to the patients, food was horrible, didn’t change sheets for 4 weeks, had unsafe conditions, administration would not return our calls about concerns. I would not put a dog in that place. We move him to a much better with a great and caring staff

Great sales pitch! Don’t Trust what they tell you. Mom was there for 10 months food is terrible I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. She didn’t get her showers unless we complained and was supposed to have them two times a week. We were paying for level three care one day I was told by a nurse she wasn’t on level three she didn’t know, At that level she should’ve had care helping her get dressed and being taken for meals Amongst other care she should’ve been getting at that level she was not. she sat in that room with no one checking on her. Unfortunately mom passed away we were told we had to give a 30 day notice how do you do that? In the end we had to pay for two weeks. They can’t keep there staff no one returns call. Do your research before you put your loved one there.

The staff is horrible at communicating with the family.

There is nothing to like about North Pointe, they could improve on everything - such as responsiveness and hire staffing that actually cares about the residents there

My loved one was previously a resident at Courtyards at Lake Granbury and the whole experience was terrible for us. My loved one was in Memory Care. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Courtyards at Lake Granbury Memory Care to others.

I would not recommend the Etta to anyone. Honestly, I have nothing good to say about them. Medication (or lack of) and cleanliness was always an issue. Every couple of months they recommended/implemented extra levels of care for additional money each time a concern was raised. Lost clothes and blankets constantly, meds on the floor frequently. Just all around an awful experience and place.

I wouldn't recommend Benton House of Oviedo to anyone. They had poor management. There was not enough staff. There were no activities. The residents would go into Memory Care and come out and nobody would be watching the patients in there. We paid a lot of money and got nothing. My loved one fell 4 times the week that she passed from a brain bleed.

I would not recommend this facility to others. My mom was asked to have 24 hour care provided by our own expense. They said she was exit seeking all the time. When we moved her to the new Memory care facility we found out that Waterford was not giving mom her medication regularly. The medicine is in a punch out pill container and she had many left when delivered to her new home. We were not happy. They would let her sleep all day, skip meals, etc. When it came to the exit seeking and Waterford requesting we hire 24 care for mom, we told them to go jump in the river. After that they were going to give mom notice to leave. We found a place through mom's physician, and moved her in less than a week. Thank goodness there was an opening, we were very nervous. Since then, mom has had great care. She receives her medicine in a timely fashion. They make sure she is up during the day, activities are much better, and mom is happy in her own way. You can tell it feels more like a home.

In November our building's director came to me and asked me to give up my two bedroom apartment because in management's opinion I wasn't paying "enough" rent. I was willing to negotiate and move to a one bedroom unit. However a few days later she came to me and told me it would "Be in my best interest" to move to assisted living. I refused to move to assisted living. I am a healthy 80 year old; I have no physical or mental limitations. She told me I had to apply for PACE assistance, because the state would pay an additional $3,000 and my share would only be $2,000 per month. I told her that sounded like insurance fraud and refused and I didn't believe I would qualify for the program. She said I would qualify based on my age alone She told me that they would raise my rent and evict me when I couldn't pay it

My parents were mislead!! This is not an assisted living facility, if the resident falls, they have to call the fire department!!They don't have help!! The food is terrible and they don't receive the food they ordered! They were under the impression that they would have help, but they do not have help. They constantly do not receive help!!

His money went missing, his phone I had to replace 3 times we still haven't received our unused rent money. They took my dad off ALL his medications and were hateful and disrespect ful to him.

The manager at Villa Santa Barbara wasn't helpful with reducing the cost of rent when we had to move her out early due to her not feeling safe there.

In [date removed], I requested additional money be taken out if my mother’s veteran’s benefits. This was never done. Also, my mother was overcharged [removed] dollars a month from [date removed] until my mother’s death in [date removed]. Also, received a bill after her death for the month of October. Money was automatically withdrawn. I was assured the money would be put back in her accounts- but it has not. Everyone is “I’ll get back to you”. Even calling the number give to people on this site gets you nowhere. I have over a dozen emails. I have no complaints about my mother’s care but I would never recommend The Waterford because of their business practices.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Waterford at Baytown and overall her experience at this facility was terrible. My loved one was not checked on at night like they said that she would be. There were NO activities that occurred while my loved one was a resident. The care services, therefor the value for cost, were terrible. The only thing that I can say was good was the friendliness and staff of the dayshift. I would not recommend this facility to others.

Based on the experience we have had so far, we can say there is room for improvement especially when it comes to following through on the care plan with the front line staff team.

We moved my mother out of Vintage Gardens at the end of June to go into hospice. We had already been billed for July (they bill 30 days in advance) then billed for August after Mom was moved out. In multiple phone calls, I was told it could take up to 30 days for a refund. They are no longer answering the phone when I call and will not call me back. 15 days ago I had to go in person in order to speak to someone. I was promised the refund 5 days later on Wednesday. 15 days have now passed with no refund. Do not give this company access to your checking account. They are perfectly happy to unethically use your family's money for their gain. My Mother has since passed, yet I am forced to deal with a company that has stolen her money. In contrast, the care facility we moved Mother to had a refund to us in 4 days. 90 days and waiting for a refund, or 4 days. There are better facilities for your family.
