Food and food service is variable- some meals good and others not at all. There was a period when they were very short staffed. Better now. As an older facility there seems to be inadequate maintenance. The elevator has been out of service several times and the washing machine out of order for an extended time. They just increased the rent by $600 per month.

The Wellington is a nice place to live and I like it. My complaint is with the food. The chef is inconsistent with meal preparation. There are food items that they run out of such as bacon, baked rolls, ice tea, etc and the food that they order is of a lower quality. There is excessive food waste causing loss of income that I believe is caused by the lower quality of food. I have been told that the corporate makes up the menu and I believe there are times when I believe the chef does know how to make. There are times when the menu says one thing and we were served something else. Weigh the type of food you want before deciding to become a resident. Also, the Director walks around looking like she is going bite everyone's head off. When she talks to you she has this fake smile. Suggestion: Purchase better quality food. Make sure when an item is on the menu have the necessary food in stock. Corporate needs to let the individual chefs prepare the menu. Make sure there are friendly direc

They are in the process of hiring all new administrators. They had the Executive Director, Head of Nursing and the Head of Marketing all leave. It's really not worth the raise of $[removed] a month and everything going down. Of course, always short staff as all places are with my experience. Hopefully things turn around. Some aides are excellent, but I fear they will leave. Not a place I would want to work. Turnover tells the story.

I would say, and did say, they just couldn't deliver on the food so it ruined the whole experience.We picked this community, because of the two facilities closest to my house this one was smaller and we hoped it would be more personal and would be easier for the staff to run properly--fewer residents so more personalized service and better entertainment and food service.

The staff have been extremely helpful, even helping me to teach my loved one how to use the ATM they reach out to her. They're very patient, even though she's not open to them, they don't take it personally which is nice. I also appreciate that. I can call either the front desk or the lady that does the tours and they will assist me in whatever it is that I'm trying to get done and I can call and warn them that she needs to come and talk to them about you know, a ride or transportation and to expect her and they walk her through the process and she says they're very nice to her.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Waterford at Baytown. As for the staff, the dayshift staff I would rate at a 4 and the nightshift staff I would rate at a zero.

They need to do a better job of cleaning rooms and getting to the patient a little quicker when they need help with something. It is a beautiful facility that overall I would recommend

The head person in charge of assisted living is no longer there. They needed to be told what to do. We visited daily and often times my mother was in same clothes from the day before. We would go get a staff member and tell them to change her. If we did not go everyday I would have been concerned she was not properly taken care of. Some of the staff were very friendly and we got close with some of them. It is a difficult job I know, but we felt like if we did not come everyday it could have been a real problem for my loved one.

The staff take very good care of you , they try to listen to you when your having a bad day , I love [name removed] the RCC she always was good at listening to our problem or always tried to help us in any question we had , They try to encourage us to do activities . The activities are always different .

Good intentions but maybe long distance management with different "style" of care, confusing.

A great option for parent once unable to live at home alone. Beautiful, safe, clean and comfortable facility. Separate apartments for independence and privacy yet they are in one facility that offers a dining room, activity center, library, common sitting room areas , etc. Many activities offered for residents to enjoy and to socialize without having to leave the building. Staff truly care for the residents. However, high caregiver turnover due to insufficient wages, inadequate training and understaffing. High safety concern for minimal staffing on evenings and nights. Costly to rent apartment + added cost based on “level of care”, which builds up quickly.

I would like for my cabinets to be fix a little faster.But [name removed] did a good job in fixing my TV super quickly .Overall they gave treated me kindly and are helpful,people here are understanding ,attentive and giving.

The Sales department promised an open stay since we were on a wait list for a different residence still under construction. (Between 6 weeks to 6 months) The Waterford location was ideal, but the memory care unit smelled awful and was always short staffed with no observable activities. At the end of each monthly billing, the director would call us wanting us to sign a lease and pay a community fee with the threat that corporate would no longer allow us to stay. After 3 months of promises to get new deodorizer emulsifying agents and the thought of being kicked out, we relocated. I would not recommend the memory care. The assisted living was highly recommended by dear friends.

The staff promises things and they do not perform as promised in a timely manner. The food is probably the worst I've seen at a facility. My loved one has found another facility that has a lower monthly cost that she wants to look at, she is planning to move. Her shower was not fixed for over a month, we ended up having to fix it ourselves. I had to order the part to fix it. They promised to take my loved one to Walmart, but they don't keep a routine schedule of when they're going and they cancel a lot. The front porch is nice, but other than that it's really sad. I was warned by another quality lady not to put my loved one here and she gave me the similar story, but we had to find out for ourselves.

The communication is poor my mother was taken to emergency for chest pain, and I was told that they would call me and let me know where she was taken, never got a call. My mom's doctor sent instructions on how much insulin to give her in August and it's December and still don't know if she is getting the correct dose. Overall though they treat my mom great, she says they are all very nice to her.

There are GREAT ones and poor staff. The ready good ones tend to be the long term staff that are there because they are passionate about what they do. However, there needs to be an improvement in the hiring process. There seems to be a revolving door in that area and a sense that those new staff members aren't there because of any desire to be caring and maybe faked their way through the interview process. If they have a background as caregivers at other (or multiple other) places where high standards for caregivers are expected, that should be a red flag. This is not to say there aren't any good new people hired, just that the lack of great care (or good quality care) seems to be existing in those new hires that slipped through the hiring process.

I like it, I that it is one story and the meals are on time.

I think they are understaffed but my uncles primary caregiver is INCREDIBLE. They have alot of information and make you aware of what your loved one is doing...they even send pictures via email which has been great.

Looks very nice. Nice Staff, very neat.

1. First time in a long time I've had an opportunity to play chess on a regular basis. 2. It's nice to have PT every morning at 9:00. 3. Three healthy meals served a day. 4. Housekeeping service once a week. 5. I thought I'd be bored here. But the training schedule/daily planner. Can keep you busy!!!
