1) The overall experience has been OK, however I feel it is hard to get the techs all on the same page on what we need them to do with my mom. 2) The price of this facility is lower than others, but not sure some of the care is up to par with other facilities.

There has been a significant employee turnover during the last few months at Southern Meadows Senior Living. The high standard in all areas that we were used to was in serious decline across the board during this transition. That and the high rent increase in March, made us decide to move my dad to a new facility. He will be leaving southern meadows next week.

There are some very nice people there - both staff and assistants. However, the services we were told would be provided are not always delivered. There have been periods of up to 14 hours that my mother has been left in bed without an opportunity to go to the bathroom. To be unattended that long is never an acceptable or kind way to take care of and maintain the dignity of someone who cannot take care of their own basic needs. We were promised that staff would provide a minimum of 2 hour rounds in the night where they would have eyes on the residents. Often it doesn't happen. I believe the management at The Etta could improve by providing more intense staff training - setting standards and protocols, and and insisting on staff compliance and excellence. There are many issues that could be improved and better goodwill made (hence higher star reviews) by implementing a better customer-centric service approach. The dignity of the residents should come first, and all to often, it is not.

We selected Brookview Meadows because we wanted my mom to be in a clean and safe environment. It is absolutely that and more! My mom loves the staff, the support that they provide her and her beautiful apartment! If there's anything that could use improvement, it would be along the lines of the food provided. But it's important to know that they do have the ability, as residents, to share their concerns (and they do!). I would absolutely recommend Brookview Meadows to other seniors in the Green Bay area!

The quality of care is difficult to assess. It depends on the staff member . They have a wonderful director in Memory care. Her name is Sharon. I can text her or call her with anything I need for my mom and she gets it done. The staff has also sent me videos so I can see how she's doing when I'm not there.

Based on our families experience, the 1st 6 months was just a disaster. It since has changed almost all the management and had improved drastically.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Waterford at Plano and the overall experience was okay. However, we had some concerns and ultimately ended up moving my loved one to a different facility.

Like any other place, you have outstanding staff and mediocre staff. All of these assisted care facilities are expensive and it is a burden for the families to supplement. It appeared that one of the nurses ran the facility in lieu of the Executive Director and as a side note, she is no longer there. The facility is a cozy little place. My Mom did like it there. It is a 20 bed facility.

Typical nursing home . Staff that work with the patients, are under payed. Quality of care is low, due to the quality of people they hire. The owners of nursing homes, are making a killing, and providing very low quality care. Diapers are not changed regularly, and place is understaffed most days. I'm just glad my loved one, doesn't realize much anymore.

Very understaffed, under paid. You could go to fast food place and make more. Over the years they have lost some very good people.

when it comes to the overall experience, quality of care, the meals and dining, activities and value for cost it is all fair. The cleanliness of the community is ok, not good and when it comes to the friendliness of the staff some are okay.

This facility wasn’t equipped to medically handle my parents needs. We wish they had been more up front about that. My parents really needed assisted living and not independent living.

I could not eat the food without getting sick. Had to order groceries from Amazon. People were great, staff sucks! I know other people who have moved in the location and moved out as quickly as possible. Not a good place to live-my thoughts

My loved one was previously a resident at Holiday The Lodge at White bear and the overall experience was okay. The everyday staff was great. However, the General Manager was not. A horrible human being. The housekeeping was okay. Communication with the family was okay. The move in process was great, but all of the staff have left. The meals were horrible, we brought our own food. I would not recommend this facility to others.

Benton House of West Ashley overpromised/sold and underdelivered.

Waterford was not a good choice for my mother. Even though she could take care of herself for the basics she wouldn't. And because it was actually an independent living community there was no one that would be helpful in making sure she was ok. Most of the problem I saw was the staff. Just as we moved mom, they had replaced their director because there had been so much tension with the staff. Most of the staff was friendly but didn't go out of their way to be helpful.

I came in for a tour and met with the Sales Director. She was very up front, honest and well informed about the community. We could tell the residents adore her as they spoke highly of her. I wish we could have made a deposit because the sales director left a great impression on us from her smile, her honesty, the glow she had about talking about the community and engaging with the residents. We did tour a few other communities, but none compared to West Shores. The apartments were spacious, and windows were great for those in wheelchairs when sitting you still get that great view. The only bad I have to say would be the director of nursing. She was very rude and pushy on care and not allowing my loved one to speak on what she wants from senior living. If the director of nursing can get some training on customer service and how to speak to people, we may have made a deposit. Overall West Shores made us feel at ease, homey and just a great environment. The residents seem happy!

The rooms are nice, meals are adequate (restaurant style is nice), front desk staff is adequate, housekeeping is minimal. I would recommend Cottonwood Village as the best place in town. I like that the staff knows my Dad and watch over him to some extent. My dad (and me) is fortunate to live in his apartment at Cottonwood Village!

I'm sure there's worse places but where my father stayed it was understaffed and those you had were not qualified to take care of the residence on that floor.

The meals are balanced. Communication is very poor. They are on their 3rd Director in one year. The Director of Nursing has also changed. Nurses and Aides do not communicate with each other.
