The tour was nice but we did not feel that the environment was safe for my loved one. No one was wearing masks, there were door mats in front of residents doors which we saw as a tripping hazard, and there were also no handrails. The rooms were very nice and spacious. We just did not feel that it suited my loved ones needs.

We did not have the best tour experience with The Waterford at Thousand Oaks. To be honest, I did not believe a thing that they were telling me during the tour. When we were walking around, all of the residents were just sitting around not doing anything. The apartments were also smaller but cost more money than some others we were looking at.

It's a nice community. The staff are okay to work with sometimes.

This community was not as clean as another community that I was looking at. Just not really the environment that I was looking for for my loved one. The tour guide was very nice and professional it was more just the building was run down.

Very nice helpers. Good food. Great location!!! Safe area, need few more helpers and nurse.

Upper management needs improvement. There is way too much turnover and little regard for the hardworking people who work here - COVID problems aside, every year the rent has gone up, but the service has not. Santa Barbara is very competitive in the senior market. You might be able to charge more for services, but the service is not that good. Some areas are improving --> But I do not want to be inconvenienced by broken elevators anymore. We finally have a good chef who is cooking healthy foods. The company in general is always trying for improvement, which is good.

Things are getting better. I have been here 6 yrs. and the last couple years there has been a lot of turn over. The dining has been good lately. The activities have been down.

It's a nice place but the food is lousy. The food quality and quantity needs to improve. But it's centrally located, and I think the apartments are nice.

The room was too far from all of the amenities offered in the community. What was offered per the cost and the care needed just did not match up. The tour was good but the community just did not git the needs of my loved one.

I would advise to make sure that everything is straight and ready to go before you get there to get your loved one set up and in the community. I ended up having incorrect paperwork and somethings did not go right. When my loved one first moved in there was a covid lock down and we could not go see my loved one for three months due to the outbreak and trying to get things under control. There have also been billing issues that can take a while to get figured out when communicating with the community.

We took our loved one who has early dementia with us on the tour, and she didn’t want anything to do with them. The staff that we encountered on the tour acted like we weren’t even there when we walked by. It just wasn’t a friendly environment. The person who gave us the tour was very disheveled. The facility wasn't well kept. The grounds weren't kept up, and the place wasn’t clean. It wasn't at all what we expected for what they charge.

This is a small and nice community. I still have issues getting my reimbursement for forms for long term care. There was a lot of theft at this community and also a lot of turn over with the employees. The reason we took my loved one out is due to her being more high functioning than the people that surrounded her.

This community was nice but I was not too impressed with it. It just did not give me that feeling that I was looking for.

There needs some improvements with the overall cleanliness of the community and their care services. The medical services are lacking at times.

Communication is an issue and could definitely be improved upon. I think their on boarding process could be a little better as far as who to reach out to with certain questions or issues. It is also hard to get a hold of staff in relation to what it going on with my loved one.

The lady that took us on the tour was nice, but the staff in general just seemed kind of burned out. And when we first came in, we weren’t greeted at the door very well. I think it was a nurse who first spoke to us, and she was very gruff.

They are understaffed at the moment which is affecting the quality of care.

The Waterford at Forth Worth wasn't a bad place, but it just really needs to be cleaned and repaired. It felt dirty overall, and the carpets need to be cleaned or replaced. They've been going through some management changes. . . The worst thing is the activities. There's really nothing for the residents to do besides go to the library or talk with other residents. We did like that they provided all meals 7 days a week.

There was a transition of staffing and covid was going on when we came in. Quality staffing has been an issue, it has not been the care that I expected my friend to have. I do think that they could improve on the variety of foods that are offered to the residents here. The limitations are mostly due to covid. I know that they are trying very hard with the staff that they do have and the location of the facility is very good.

Summit Point is a nice facility, the location was just not right for us.
