We moved both our parents to the Waterford during the pandemic from a community that stop almost all services. The Waterford was still keeping their residents active within the community. They started in assisted living and were able to transitionr to memory care as their needs changed. It was great not to have to separate or uproot them again. The are well taken care of and the facility is well maintained.

We toured with The Wellington and the people were just precious. They were all so kind to us and could not have made us feel more welcomed. It is in a neighborhood, so if your loved one likes to walk it is a very safe locaiton. The facility is older and definitely needed some updates done. The rooms were also very tiny. If you are looking for a down home place this would be a good fit, it was just not the right fit for my loved one.

I have heard nothing but good things about this community and the staff there, personally I am getting close to having to find an assisted living community for an elder relative of mine and will definitely going to be going with The Waterford on Cooper for their care. Great staff, and not hard to get to in town like most places.

I toured this facility and my family and I really liked it. It would be our second choice. The deciding factor for us was that they were doing updates at the time we toured it. We didn't want our loved one to have to deal with that, but I'm sure it's even better now. I would recommend them as an option to families.

We really like the décor and the updated look and feel of the community. We really like the wide variety of the secondary meals and options the residents have. However just like everyone else right now the staffing is chaotic - somethings that are expected to get done sometimes does not always happen because of it.

Nursing staff wasn't very good. She didn't like the food most of the time. She didn't participate because she didn't know what was going on, would be more helpful if staff would be more proactive getting her involved. She paid for more care than was given. I would recommend this facility, they just need to make some adjustment in their care.

We have had a good experience at Independence Village of East Lansing and would recommend the facility to others.

Dining is ok, but my mom is a picky eater and we've had to seek alternate options. She prefers options other than beef and they don't offer a lot of those. The facility does have a lot of outings and activities, I see those going on when I visit. My mom just doesn't engage or participate in those very much. The staff has been great. One of the things I appreciate is that the General Manager started as a nurse, so he understands from a nursing level. I found that very helpful during the tour also, he was able to answer specific questions. The facility does a great job of cleaning the individual units. Some of the provided washing machines in the laundry room do not work as well as others. Her apartment has window A/C units (3 units total in her 2 bedroom apartment), not ideal but they're efficient and seem to work well. I guess that's to be expected with an older facility. But they have done upgrades since mom has been there, so that's good to see. Overall, we're satisfied with the facility and glad to have mom close to home.

I thought The Amberleigh was very good - it was our second choice. On the tour, they walked us through appropriately, showed us the grounds, and answered all of our questions. There were only minor differences between them and the place we chose. The biggest difference was that If Mom's health were to start to deteriorate she would have had to move apartments to receive assisted living at The Amberleigh, whereas at the place we chose, she could stay in the same apartment and they would bring additional services to her.

The staff is always pleasant but there is not enough people to do the serving in the dining room or housekeeping, or maintenance. I do not think it is run efficiently or very organized. Memos are vague and often do not make sense. More programs are being planned which are appreciated.

Its clean, its quiet and I like it! Best cheesecake ever!

I like the cleaning, they do a wonderful job on my apartment. I love the facilities that the Remington offers and the activities. I love walking around the building in the winter it’s a great view. It’s a good place to be.

The help here is so friendly. I love that the housekeeping staff cleans my room so well and changes my bed. I don’t have to buy food and cook it. I’m allowed my dog which is great. The people are so great resident and staff wise. The activities are fun.

I’ve lived at the Remington for over five years and enjoy it very much. While no senior place is perfect, this one comes close. The staff is very kind and accommodating and the variety of activities is interesting and fun. The apartments are private and well kept while the common areas are warm and inviting for visiting and fellowship. I feel fortunate to call the Remington my home…I even had my wedding here so this place will always hold good memories for me.

They do a very good job taking care of my mom.

I would recommend you check the community out for your loved one to see if it would be a good fit. The community is organized, and the staff seems to care about the residents. The staff communication with the family is good, and they are responsive to our questions and concerns.

Other families would like it here.

The Woodlands of Hamilton is a very nice community, the residents living there are really really friendly and the staff members are super nice. Our loved one really enjoys the meals and dining service he says everything is great. However they could work to improve on the activities - there are not a lot of things for the residents to do and what they can do is very repetitive. It gets to be very monotonous

Overall experience is good. They are to clean our rooms once a week.my apt. Has been vacuumed once since we came. They can t get workers. They cleaned my bathrooms 2 times.
