The staff here are friendly and willing to help. Because the facility is older, there are repairs that come up (dryer breaks, shower head leaks). The maintenance man tries his best to address these problems, but he works both the Assisted Living side and the Independent Living side. The other residents are welcoming and we've met some interesting people who have led amazing lives. There are social activities planned just about everyday if one cares to participate. We've found them to be enjoyable and we participate as much as we're able. We love that we have a washer and dryer in our apartment and we have a full kitchen should we care to bake a treat! This community is smaller and we enjoy the community feel rather than an institutional atmosphere.

The staff at this facility are helpful and friendly. The facility has a monthly family email newsletter. They have an emergency necklace with good response times. They have two nice courtyards and activities. My only complaint is that the food is not great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

It is a bright community with different levels of care and a friendly supportive staff and management. They are taking good care of my loved one. I would recommend to others.

The place was very clean and meals seemed good. Activities didn't seem to be regular. The staff was friendly and helpful. We have a little trouble with the main office in regards to room charges. We felt the care was good, and would recommend it to others.

Our family had an in-person tour with Aspen Grove over the weekend, and from the tour experience and the atmosphere of the community we thought everything was really nice, however, it was just too expensive for our family which is why we did not choose it.

Overall it is a good place to live. There are complainers, but I think they are people who are never happy. I like most everything here and it is a friendly place. My apartment was freshly painted including cabinets. New granite countertops and faucets. Nice big shower and walk in closet and balcony.

I toured The June and it was a good tour. The facility has a lovely courtyard and a nice dining room. However, it has little curb appeal and no awning. I was worried about slippage in inclement weather. They seemed to have quite a lot of activities for the residents. This facility is more expensive than some other places in the area.

We really appreciate the staff. Everyone has been so kind to our mom and to our family. The two areas that we have issues with are the cleanliness and the food. Low cost, unhealthy food such as hot dogs, corn dogs, spaghetti, and pork and beans is a regular and really is inappropriate for seniors. We have had our loved one there for several months, so it doesn't appear to be a temporary issue.

I love it here! I feel at home here mainly because of the activities that goes on that allows everyone to get together and become a family. I love it that I can move my own furniture into the apartment that allows me to feel comfortable. I'm thankful I'm able to make good friendships here!

The main thing that sticks out to me about The Waterford at Fort Worth is the staff and residents, they are all extremely friendly and nice. I would recommend this facility to other families searching for independent living.

Cedar bluff has been a conveniently located place for my loved one to live. The new staff since Frontier has taken over has been a plus. The staff is fun loving and very attentive. Struggling with finding fun activities, but I feel like the residents are the ones that are not wanting to involve themselves in a lot of it, including my loved one. I feel blessed to have her close and still living independently at her age.

The staff is awesome. The only thing is she still complains about the dining room not having enough chairs and the food is not that good. Given the chance we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far. The experience has been good. The hardest part for mom was giving up her home. The adjustment to assisted living has been a process for her.

[name removed] was amazing and so helpful during the whole process. I don't think we could have done it without her. We are very grateful to APFM and her. I think they could improve on communication and onboarding when an Assisted Living resident arrives. We expected it to be more structured. Part of that could be arriving on the day after a holiday, however, if you have a regular process in place it should continue through any day of the week.

The independent living building is newly renovated and well-maintained. The two bedroom apartments are large and well laid out. The location is very convenient to downtown Columbus and grocery store and eateries. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The downsides are that there is virtually no cell phone reception in the area so the only option is using Windstream for telephone. The other negative was that they had trouble keeping kitchen staff and providing the well rounded meals that were to be provided in the monthly rent.

A good place. Still working on rental costs. Really love living here. Very open space inside. Airy space. Need more diabetic menus. People here are lovely! One person here does cause troubles, but that is maybe physical problems. Love the drives thru nature.

The Waterford has a more nurturing environment and more staff involvement than I've seen at other independent living communities with my other family members. The residents all have call buttons to wear around their necks, and if they don't check in daily with the staff, the staff will go check on them. The other residents are so friendly and look out for each other as well. There are a lot of activities posted, but sometimes the entertainment they have scheduled to come in doesn't show up. Some of the challenges we're experiencing are mostly due to my loved one's circumstances - he might be better suited to be in assisted living vs. independent. But before moving in, their nurse assessed him, and they placed him based on his personal characteristics and not based on a rigid checklist. The food is a weak spot. Food is not always timely in getting out of the kitchen. Some things are difficult for the older population to cut. They have alternative meals to the main entrees, but if you order an alternative, you just kind of sit there, and they bring it to you at the end of the dining window or deliver it to your room. Condiments have not always been easily accessible to those in wheelchairs. They have a nice salad bar, but that is also difficult to navigate in a wheelchair. There is not enough wait staff to flag down if you need something. There has been turnover in the kitchen staff. With the newer kitchen staff, it appears things are getting a little better. Overall, I think it's a good value. We're definitely getting some additional services at the independent level that we would not be getting at other places. They do well with people who are in between independent and assisted living. And I'm very pleased with them. I would recommend them to other families.

The Rose of Round Rock was too big of a facility for my loved one. The building was a little older and dated. The only staff member I spoke with was the woman who gave the tour. She was very kind and enthusiastic (as you would expect in a sales position). I just didn’t get that overall warm feeling that I was looking for.

I toured this community and it was ok. It wasn't bad, it just didn't feel like the right place for my loved one. It was clean and they were friendly enough- but kind of more like a business friendly.

The staff bent over backwards to make my loved one comfortable. They were very kind and caring. My loved one played Bingo every Friday, which she had never done/played before. She complained that the food was bland and there wasn't enough red meat on the menu. House keeping did a great job.
