They have a lot of activiites. We picked this community, because it's the best facility that we have that is close to our family. The housekeeping is wonderful. The aides are very nice and kind to my loved one. We are very happy. They offer, three meals per dayand an evening snack. My loved one likes food. I would recommend to other families.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful, but the price is a little steep. Anytime we visit, we never saw many activities going on, all of the residents were just sitting around.. Overall I just think there are some improvements that they could make.

Overall I thought Villa Santa Barbara was very nice. It’s an older facility, and a little rougher around the edges / more worn in term of visual appearance. That wasn't a deterrent for us though. For us, it was more about the services. For my mom at the time, it didn’t have the equipment that she needed for her rehab stay - she needed an adjustable hospital bed. They also didn't have in-house physical therapy.

I only toured the independent living there. It was ok but we liked the Carriage Inn better. From what I saw of the assisted living , I thought the halls were too long, harder for residents to get around if they were needing that level of care.

What impressed me the most about The Waterford is they have their own director in the memory care section. She gave me her cell phone number. I can text her, and she responds immediately and investigates whatever the issue is. She told me personally if I have any concern at all to please let her know. She is excellent. I think my loved one is receiving pretty good care. My only complaint is I don't think they're taking her to he bathroom enough.

[name removed] and [name removed] were very professional and kind. The community was the first one we looked at in person. It was a little concerning on the large amount of turn over on the care staff. The community seemed like a good place. I appreciate the time and thoroughness of the tour and discussion.

They need to work harder at keeping the good people. The turnover of Social workers is way too high. I would not allow my friend to be there until they changed to one more compassionate and interested in people instead of census. Then she was gone two months after he moved in. I think they could do better in the caring department, for both tenants and employees.

We toured the facility in considering moving my mom closer to us. The location is fantastic for North Arlington residents. we worked with the sales staff who were knowledgable and very very helpful. Their head nurse was sent to assess my mother in her current living arrangement and she was very very good and objective in her evaluation. She and my mom hit it off chatted about face creams and skin care routines. The facility itself was clean, modest, and quiet. They have a lovely outdoor space. We did not see too many residents out, but the few we did see out were playing cards. We did not end up moving my mother in, however, I would not hesitate to move her in

The people that we met with at Strake Place were wonderful. The price was actually very good too. At the time we were looking, it seemed that their assisted living was understaffed. I do like that they offer independent living and assisted living so you can transfer your loved one if need be.

We would recommend this community to other families, and we like that the internet is working good for our loved one.

They are great here. Hours serving meals would be better if they changed them. It is too early for breakfast. The staff communication with the family is good.

There were some great things about this facility and it definitely served it's purpose. It was clean, but was just night and day from where my loved one is now. It's very expensive for the type of facility, though. I will say that.

We moved my Mom here about 9 months ago because she was forgetting to take her medication and was living by herself at Washington heights in Hartford. Mom is 94 years old and needed a little more help than we could provide. She is an outgoing person and likes to get involved with many activities. At the Waterford they have activities every day for the residents and any family members that want to participate. Bingo several times a week, cards and board games during weekends, outings several times a month, cook out during the summer along with outside activities. They redid my mother's room with new carpeting and flooring before she moved in. They just put new flooring and lights in the lower floor. Great residents and staff. We all love what they all do for Mom

I like the interaction with the residents. They pay attention and do a lot of different things. They are very dilligent and are good with following up on calling. The communication process could be better. They need to offer, a vehicle to assist those who are in a wheelchair. Overall I am happy about the facility, I would recommend to other families.

I am really enjoying it. Surprisingly, I am having a good time. Surprising because I never thought I would! The staff are very friendly and they take care of me. I look forward to continuing my life here. We have church services and are doing a series on "The Chosen." We also have great music.

Buildings were clean. Everyone was very friendly. Staff very helpful when asked questions, residents seemed to enjoy their outings and activities. All the residents excited of all the decorations for Christmas.

Feels like the dining experience needs some work; sometimes food isn't cooked properly. Overall they are trying but there is still some work to do, needs some more servers and help in dining.

Waterford has a wonderful staff. It takes a certain type of person to care this closely for older folks. Everyone here really puts their best foot forward. {names removed} are the best. Thank You.
