I did not personally tour The Waterford at Virginia Beach, my family did. They said that they facility was very nice and spotless, but the private rooms were more like closets.

What one receives from the community depends in large part upon what one gives to it. I have felt welcomed here, and l am happy to call it home.

I think that overall The Wellington at Arapaho is a good place for a loved one's care. They do a good job with cleaning the rooms and clothes regularly and serving meals on time.

Staff are super friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The community is friendly. Please note that this is not a medical facility and so there won't be anyone to care for your parents if something (like a fall) happens at night. I do think the coffee could be better. My mother In law had to ask people to bring her coffee from outside.

My family and loved one have had a good experience with Benton House at Oakleaf. The community is clean when we visit our loved one. The staff are kind, caring, and helpful. Everyone seems to be friendly. This is a great community and we would recommend Benton House to others for their loved ones.

We toured Riverbend when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was nice. The cleanliness and friendliness was good. However, it was too far from home for us.

I HAVE NOT EATEN ANY MEALS BY CHOICE AS I PREFER GETTING MY OWN GROCERIES. HOWEVER, WILL OFFER 2 COMMENTS: #1 THEY HAVE A NICE UP TO DATE CAFETERIA #2 BASED ON COMMENTS FROM MOST RESIDENTS I'VE TALKED WITH - THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD. I HAVE NOT PARTICIPATED IN ANY ACTIVITIES BY CHOICE - BUT MY IMPRESSION IS THAT THEY TRY VERY HARD TO HAVE A MIX OF ACTIVITIES. IT'S NOT A NEW FACILITY BUT IS NICE LOOKING OUTSIDE AND IN. TREES, SHRUBS AND FLOWERS AROUND ENTIRE FACILITY. NICE LOOKING INTERIOR WHICH IS KEPT VERY CLEAN. I CAME HERE BECAUSE I COULD NOT JUSTIFY PAYING [FEE REMOVED] MORE PER MONTH TO THE MORE PRICEY HOMES.

My mom was only there a short time before she passed away. Overall my experience was good except I never really got an solid answer on how and where my mom felled which she suffered a subdural hematoma which eventually ended her life. That worried me. I'm not upset that she felled but was never told where and how it happened or how long she was on the floor. But other than that was please with North Pointe. It's no country club. It was all we could afford. Yes overall it's a good community...it's no country club. For the price it is a decent place. Family should always visit and interact with the staff and managers. If there an issue you can report it.

The facility needs updating ( carpets are stained, common areas and hallways need painted). The food servers are often very slow to acknowledge residents are seated and waiting. Food is often cold when it is served.

The transportation provided was limited and the residents were territorial. If the new comer is outgoing and likes to socialize, they should do fine. Shy people might not do well there. At least that's how it was. Also, the independent living apartments don't have full kitchens.

Wasn't anything like I expected. It was bright, cherry, cozy, the furniture in the common area was really nice. The residents rooms were very nice.

My loved one's were residents at Benton House of Florence and overall the experience at this facility was very good for both of them. The staff is great- they all work together and get along well. They did a wonderful job! Anytime we had a question or need, they were always quick to respond. The only disappointment was that when we were applying, they did not tell us that they had someone who could have helped with VA benefits. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

In regards, to care for residents is, either hire more qualified people, or, have better training for them. It seem like quite a few of the caretakers did not understand how to handle a difficult patient. You people are a last resort for these kinds of individuals and it's not easy. They need adequate and qualified care by facilities such as this. So, therefore, the caretakers need to be well equipped for the task at hand, and it seemed a lot of them were inexperienced, and did not know how to handle lockdown patients. I believe you need more qualified caretakers. I know it's a tough job. I think everything else is acceptable. Honesty goes a long ways, even when they don't want to hear it. You should all be commended for the work you do. It is a very necessary and needed ministry.

This place treats me so well. Great staff. [name removed] is a wonderful caregiver and there is always something to do. I have loved living here. They treat me so kindly and the staff always says hello when they pass in the hallways. I feel cared for and welcomed.

The worst problem has been communication with nursing, staff etc. It's hard to get a message to the staff by phone. You have to be there and even then it's hard to be sure of follow through. I would also say that staffing issues are big....but this is not a fault of this particular place. It's industry wide. They have gone through hiring and staffing issues. I felt more comfortable when I was staying on top of everything until all the kinks were ironed out. I would recommend this facility to others, but with the caveat that families keep a close eye at first to make sure what they think is happening is actually happening.

What they can work on is updating the carpet, the lights, and fixing the hallway walls and painting. However based on our experience with The Amberleigh we would recommend this community to other families. Wonderful staff. Friendly, caring, make sure they know the residents likes n dislikes. Residents look out for one another and help to get acclimated . Great location. Warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This community is very laid back everyone seems to be calm the administrator is ver realistic with people’s needs. I think the administration is available and very approachable. Residents are very friendly you have your own space. I really like getting my coffee in the morning and talking with my residents. You become fond of others.

I would recommend it to my friends. I've been happy overall. They have staffing issues but everyone does now. I've been most pleased with the nursing care my Mom has received. The resident [name removed] is very attentive and is a great communicator. The biggest issue has been turn over and the food.

Oaks at Plainfield does not have assisted living or Memory care. So that wasn't even an option. We wouldn't want to have to change facilities once mom needs memory care. But it looked like a very nice facility.
