I find the staff here to be most helpful, friendly and caring. They do their job and do it well. And they are very forgiving when the occasion warrents it. I have been here almost 9 years and hope to be here many more!

During this season of covid the staff has kept us informed and comfortable in our rooms. Thank you.

We have a family member living in The Harrison and have been very happy with everything. We are kept informed every time there is a fall and what, if anything needed to be done. During this time of Coronavirus, the Exec. Dir., since March, has been sending out daily emails (M-F) regarding the status of the facility. The number of residents and staff who were sick along with the number of residents who did die from the virus, were divulged. As sick staff and residents got well, the well count went up as the sick count went down. Contrary to what a lot of communities were doing, The Harrison was not afraid to give accurate reporting as to what was going. Happily, for the past three weeks, everyone is healthy. As Indiana continues with opening, the facility adjusts what is allowed for family members and guardians regarding dropping off items not provided by the facility and how visiting can be done. [name removed], the Exec. Dir., and other staff members, have truly been great with communicating what is going on and we very much appreciate it. We did not have near this level of communication in the other prior facilities.

My son has been a volunteer there for several years. My husband and I are there yearly at the Christmas party. Staff is stable--I think that is important All the staff I have seen are very caring. The residents we have talked to seem happy. The facility is very clean and beautiful.

I am responsible for a senior family member. I recently retired to the Hot Springs area from Colorado. Prior to that move, I became aware that this family member needed to be close to family. She and I lived 1,000 miles apart and got together only twice a year. After successfully living on her own in a retirement community, she began to get lost at night, feel lonely often, withdraw from activities, and not eat properly. I saw a TV ad for A Place for Mom and contacted them. Within a day they recommended a couple of places in Hot Springs. West Shores sounded ideal. I called them, asked for literature, and set up a meeting to hear their sales pitch and take a tour. Within 10 minutes, I knew this would be a good fit. Three months later I moved this family member across the country to her new home at West Shores. Since that time, I have felt so grateful that we found this place! My family member is living in one building, not in a single villa on a large campus as she had been. She cannot get lost! She receives three meals a day -- no more shopping and cooking! -- and she tells me how delicious the food is. She has company for every meal. When she has a question about operating her cell phone, she can go to the office and they help her fix the problem. She participates in activities. West Shores has a strict no-visitor policy due to the pandemic virus, so everyone living there is safe. My plan had been to visit this family member often, as I now live 15 miles away, but the no-visitor policy has not allowed that. I call every day. That's not the same as seeing the person you love. West Shores arranged for me to visit once a week. I sit outside a dining room window. My family member sits on the inside. We can see each other talking on our phones. This is just one example of the care West Shores offers to its residents and the solution-oriented mentality that pervades this community.

Upon visiting The Waterford at Plano, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the community, the happiness of the residents and the overall feeling I got from the staff while I was there on two separate occasions with my mom. We will be moving to the community in about 30 days and are very excited to be at the Waterford. The nursing director and all the caregivers were all very kind, helpful and seemed to be very engaged with the residents. They have an excellent screening process to keep all the residents and staff safe during this time. I would recommend coming to the community for any loved one.

I toured many places and was real happy to be greeted with such enthusiasm by the staff and sales person! Even during Covid-19 we were offered a Virtual Tour first then decided to come out to participate in an outside tour. We saw a first floor apartment from the window and walked the beautiful outside walk path with our tour guide. Said "hi" to many residents outside walking to "stay healthy" said one gentleman and the walk was beautiful. We heard Elvis sing in the courtyard to balconies full of residents dancing which was a nice treat! My dad loves to dance! We were offered two meals "to go" and did take them up on that! My dad is still thinking about moving but was so impressed with everything he saw he is now more positive. Thank you to the Jefferson and staff for such a great tour.

Cottonwood Village is a great place to be. They take good care of the residents. They are always encouraging them to go to activities. It has been a good experience for my mom so far. They have been shut down to visitors due to the virus which I think is good.

awesome community and team members. they have taken senior living to the next level! I would definitely recommend this community for anyone who is looking for assisted living or memory care.

An amazing place to work. Everybody is like family here. The residents here are pretty great to tend to here. They also treat their employees pretty great here and make sure u get what you need.

Awesome place to live!

We chose Benton House over The Bridge. The facility is very nice and is small enough to allow the staff to establish relationships with the residents and the residents' families. [Name removed] and his team have been phenomenal and are always ready to assist with any questions the family may have. Mom has transitioned beautifully. I would highly recommend Benton House!

Friendly small community atmosphere. Food is great staff are friendly and ambience is beautiful. My mother calls it “home,” and that is such a relief to hear after struggling to get her to leave her home for a safer environment where I know she is cared for.

Mom is making a huge adjustment quicker than she anticipated. Moving from a home to an apartment is a big step. The staff and residents have welcomed her with open arms. Truly great people.

Moved my Mom Into Waterford on Cooper 6 months ago; Mother-in-law, 2 months ago. The family could not be more pleased with all levels of care, and this includes the excellent meals. We researched all local facilities and sought comments from others...many of whom had less than good things to say about the competition.

Finding the "right fit" for our father was not easy. It's hard getting on the same page with other family members at times especially because we had some specific things in mind for Dad: medication dispensed, help with bathing, transportation to appointments, clean and welcoming environment, good food and activities to enjoy. As a family, we all feel like we hit the jackpot with The Amberleigh. Upon entering The Amberleigh the receptionist is cheerful and welcoming. They use a buzzing in system which helped us feel like our father would be secure there. Immediately you notice that it smells clean and is well maintained. The nursing staff is friendly and caring. My fathers medication is dispensed on time and they are respectful of his needs. They call one of us children if they see something of concern, which we appreciate greatly. The transportation to doctors appointments is a huge help. [Names removed] ( the transportation women) help my father remember where he needs to go and direct him accordingly. Dad looks forward to meal time where he enjoys seeing everyone. The dining area as well as the whole complex is welcoming and decorated beautifully at all times. He enjoys the meals, but in his opinion Mom was the best cook ever so I think any place would be hard to measure up to that. :) They have many activities and residents can pick or choose as many or as few as they like. As a family we are so happy that we have found the right fit for our father. Our father is happy so we are thrilled!

My Dad has been at Amberleigh for 2 years , it has had its ups and downs like life. But it sure seems this new director [name removed] has got this place on the rise. We are very happy at this point with the new leadership and hope what we are seeing continues.

Kudos to the staff!!! We moved my Mom in to Amberleigh’s assisted living in November. I’m usually not one to post things on the internet but I witnessed the Amberliegh’s staff handle a difficult situation exceptionally well. I had the unfortunate experience to see a resident’s daughter treat the staff with extreme disrespect, call them names, making fun of their body appearance, throwing papers at them, etc …Things that are just so inappropriate! I was getting mad and I was just a spectator. I was impressed at how professional the staff were and despite the family members disrespect the staff kept their focused attention on the resident and meeting her needs. It seems all you hear are the negative reviews on places. You never get the chance to leave a negative review on a family member who is rude, disrespectful and just mean! I asked my Mom what it was all about. She stated she knew this woman’s daughter she isn’t “nice” and Mom said she just steers clear of her when she is at the facility.

had looked at Amberleigh a few years ago and my father was not ready to make the move. We decided to go back and take another tour. It started out on a good note and ended even better!! The building is beautiful with a fresh face, new décor and carpeting. The atrium area is great. So much going on and lots of residents laughing and seem very happy. [Name removed] gave a fantastic and informative tour. She answered every question my father had. As we were on the tour, all of the residents stopped and said hello stating how much they like living there. We stayed for lunch and it was very good. They staff is A++! Everyone had a smile and stopped to greet us. They really had a way of making us feel at home. You can see how the staff interacts with the residents and it was very endearing to watch. The director [name removed] had a great talk with my father and his warmth added into our decision. The calendar was packed with many different things so he can take part in what he chooses to. By the end, my father was sold! Not just on the building, the great apartment size or the staff the whole atmosphere. We are thrilled that he moved in and things are going exactly as we thought... AMAZING!!!!!
