Sodalis Elder Living

When I had both parents at the location it was of value-5. After my parent passed away the cost of value went to a 0.5 because it was higher for one person than two and did not make sense. Our family experience and I would not recommend because the chef makes frozen foods as meals from [name removed] and they have no interest in improving. It was difficult because they could not even supply a boiled egg. We visited the memory care unit and it was so sad and heartbreaking. We visited a neighbor who moved from one side of Sodalis to the other

Staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always keeping us up to date and in the loop with what is going on with our loved one. The rooms are nice, they do offer private and semi-private. It is overall a very nice facility.

My mom is safe and happy! I just recommended sodalis twice this week actually. The staff truly loves my mom and they take great care of her!

Soon after move-in the shuttle bus driver was no longer employed, and the position remained open for some time, making it difficult and inconvenient to get transportation for a while. I do believe the facility management is doing the best they can. The parking lot area could really use some more handicap friendly ramps. The parking lot has some pretty crazy pot holes. The dumpster to dispose of trash is quite a long walk for some residents, especially those with mobility issues. The housekeeping staff is great!. Staff members have been lovely. Maintenance team has been responsive, kind, and friendly. Internet is maybe included for some or majority of inside apartments, but the signal won't reach to some areas of the property. A healthy internet connection included in amenities would improve the value. A post office box for residents to send mail would be more than ideal and improve value of services provided. A more convenient, handicap-friendly way of disposing of trash would improve value.

Everyone very friendly. Staff great. Mostly cafeteria style dining now. Not my preference. Quality of food not as good as a year ago

My apartment is wonderful and more spacious than those at other independent living facilities. There are many activitiesI. I can do them or not. There is good entertainment too. The front person is so kind and good at what she does. and the driver will take you places like doctor appts. and is a nice guy. I enjoy meals with people. The meals are not good many days and there needs to be improvement. And they need a variety of veges, not just corn and carrots. I am still so pleased l to be living here!

Overall we’re happy with Sodalis Largo. The staff are very nice, the food is good, it’s clean, and the activities are good for a small facility. I only wish the communication and follow-up on items we’ve expressed concerns about was better.

Facility is clean, staffs are friendly to residents, & Med techs are assisting residents needs of medication intake well. Sodalis Senior Living have variety of activities and planned well. They do not provide hair care.

I am pleased for the most part. I am a picky eater. I do not always eat in the dining room. The water in the kitchen does not get hot. My housekeeper does a marvelous job. The people here are friendly and caring.

Out of the many places I looked at when searching for a place for mother in law, This place was the friendliest w staff and residents. Reasonably priced as well. I also like that there was activities going on and there was lots of participation. I liked that every time I went in there, their were residents stirring about and interacting w each other. Many places I went to if it wasn’t meal time no one was around. That’s the biggest reason for our choice.

The staff response time to resident call button isn't even close to acceptable and the response time we were told before we signed papers, in my opinion, was a straight up lie to get us to sign. I've brought this up more than once and the folks in charge basically said I was being unrealistic expecting the response time I was told at the beginning because during meal times those people are busy in the dining room. I've heard from the resident liaison/advocate that some residents have resorted to calling 911 because there circumstances were dire. My mother has since moved into the memory care part of the building and attention there is acceptable. I'm giving the meals and dining a five although the meals look very skimpy. My mother hasn't complained but she wouldn't remember to complain. For the activities, this one area I feel they do well. I think it's expensive but it's comparable to other local places. I just think for that price all the answers should be five.

The overall experience is good with helpful, friendly staff. Enjoy the location with lots of tress for scenery. However, the food has gone down in quality since the ownership changed and now the residents have to stand in line and take their meals to their tables for most meals where it used to be restaurant style.

The staff is very helpful and kind to residents. They make you feel at home. They have lots of activities and the whole team gets involved. They work together with phycians and nurses to make sure the residents get the best care possible.

We have only complaint. My sister has bought our mother at least 12 new outfits, her name is on everything. They seem to disappear on a regularly. Example, yesterday my sister picked mom up . She had on someone's pants, no bra, most of the time someone else's shoes. They brought mom her walker as a precaution and it had a messy depend in the bag that is attached to her walker. My sister has discussed this with staff continually. My sister visits her almost weekly. We are hoping that her clothes will reappear. I will be there in 2 weeks. I would say there needs to be improvement in their clothes making it back to the proper rooms. One of my concerns is her weight loss. She has lost about 35 lbs. we know that she wonders and takes other people clothes also. So I guess the clothing issue needs improvement. I hope this helps for improvement. With her being there, this environment has been the best place for her. We are thankful for this establishment

There was a full management overhaul and much of the staff was completely replaced right after she moved in. I don't know if that happens often, but it was concerning that there was that much change at once. So far things seem to be going well. Honestly, the food is the one thing she complains about. It's bland and not enough variety. I haven't had it first hand so I can't really make a judgement.

They have had a lot of trouble with having things repaired in a timely manner and the ac is always broken. However we would recommend this community to other families

If your senior family member doesn't have much money to live off of, this senior community is your best option for independent senior living. It's a low price because of construction and continuous renovations. It is very peaceful there and in a great neighborhood that is very safe. It's also located right by Arlington lake and park. The staff isn't very proactive when it comes to getting things done, but they are nice, pleasant people.

Great place, staff and atmosphere.!!!. The food is pretty good too. Ask for Liz when you arrive. She's amazing.!!. She's knowledgeable about the facility, Great with the residents, friendly with guests.!!.

The staff is great. My dad feels very comfortable with them. His only complaint is that he only likes the food that the head cook makes (but he has always critiqued the cooking of family members too). I would definitely recommend Sodalis Victoria - it has a very homey feeling to it.

My dad is happy in Sodalis Lake Jackson. He has his routine in place and everyone is happy to see him & us when we visit. They also have awesome monthly family get togethers. Highly recommend this community to others.
