They are excellent

The setting is very appealing and full of life and light. I would recommend others to live here. Staff (all) is exceptional.

My father is now a resident at Highland Estates. He is in a lovely apartment with new flooring and carpeting. He was aided in getting a fence and having it installed by the office managers there. They helped him install a shower extension, a land line phone and are even finding him a taller chair to be comfortable in the dining room. They even placed phone calls for him until his phone was installed. When he first arrived they introduced him to other residents that they felt he had things in common with and even found him a dog walker. My dad is so happy there and it is because of how everyone (especially [name removed]) go above and beyond to make sure there resident are happy in their new homes.

My mom really likes the food here and the staff is very friendly. The head nurse is very involved in the care of the residents and works well with the physician who comes every week to review the care plans for each of the residents. We really appreciate that when level of care changes, the payment amount does not unless it involves incontinence care/supplies. The staff knows how to motivate my mom to get out of her room and come to the dining room for meals. Once she realized she was going to be charged for each meal brought to the room, she quickly changed her desire to eat in her room. There recently was a turnover in some of the staff and it was a little bumpy at first, but things seem to have settled down nicely. Be aware that transportation to appointments is only available on Tue/Thu and there is no one who stays with the resident. They must call for pick up when the appointment is finished and it takes some time for them to get there. Overall, the place is very clean.

The El Dorado is a really convenient independent living community in Richardson....because it is all inclusive,and they have a home health care team on site to serve all the families. The (3) meals a day is a big deal. they don't look like they have been updated in awhile, but Clean & Bright.

Loved this community, the staff is friendly and very warm. My mother has done very well there and the new activities director has even gotten her out of her room to participate in activities. From the Executive Director to the housekeeper I could not be more pleased!

My sister and I toured 6 different places....the moment we walked into Elmcroft I knew it was the perfect place for my mom, it just felt like home. Mom liked the traditional style and feel of Elmcroft over the other choices. My sister and I are so grateful for the amazing staff and the care and love they provide. Seeing my mom this happy with a huge smile and being active again makes us wish we had done this sooner. I

Great bunch of folks. They really seem to care for my MIL. She likes the choices of food and seems to enjoy getting involved in the activities. She is coming out of her shell and seems to be having some fun. Thank you to all the wonderful people here.

My mom has lived here for 21 months. They have taken very good care of her. Very patience and take their time with her. She gives some trouble with showering but they work with her and redirect and get it done. I would recommend Elmcroft of Windcrest to people it come in contact with.

I have hear lots of good things from my loved one. I have seen a drastic improvement in him too during his stay at this facility.

We had a really nice tour here, the staff did a great job, they took their time and answered all our questions. We felt mom would do well here, there were a lot of amenities for the residents. We felt that mom was not in need of this type of assisted living just yet. I would definitely recommend a tour here.

My sister is enjoying her time here in this community. She has adjusted well, and seems to like it. She loves it, and I'am comfortable with her move to this community. I know she is safe, and in safe, and good hands. It is a nice community.

If you're looking for a community where you have some sort of physical impairment or mobility issue this is your place. You never have to go outdoors to get to anything in this community it is all enclosed. My parents are really enjoying their new surroundings. They love the food and they are doing activities but what they enjoy most of all is the live entertainment they have. Overall the housekeeping is doing a good job the only complaint we might have is that the housekeeper could dust and not just run the vacuum cleaner over the rugs.

Very nice place. My mom likes it and she can be a tough critic. The place is a reasonably priced as compared to other offerings, but is right on the edge of affordability for my mom.

My friend seems to be doing well since moving into Elmcroft. They do offer some daily activities, however he has not yet participated in any of them. He likes the food and the community is kept well taken care of. The staff seem to be helpful. I would recommend this community.

My favorite tour was probably the one of Madison Estates. When I arrived, the man was ready with a packet of information and gave me a brief presentation before we went and looked around. It was a beautiful place but the apartments were small and dated. Other than that, everyone was friendly and it was a good experience.

Staff there have been very helpful and pleasant and helpful.

The staff was very professional and friendly. They seem like the work for them is more than a job, it is taking care of the elderly, because they care and want the best for the elderly.
