Nice establishment. Very clean. The staff is very nice and caring not only to the residents, but to the families as well. Actually I would have to say it is the staff that make this place. They go way over and above to be kind and considerate to the residents and the caregivers/families. I know it's a very hard job, but these people really do care. Two small gripes: 1. Activities - Could be better. My Grandmother is borderline Dementia and physically very capable. Most activities were either well below her mental state or activity capabilities. Activities IMO need to be more thought through for the spectrum of residents in this facility. 2. Food - I was sold on this "fine cuisine" they serve... I can tell you I have eaten with my Grandmother several (10) times and the food... well it is hit and miss. Some days are very good, while others.... I ate the meal, but would never had done so if my Grandmother was not with me. All in all, I will take my Grandmother back to this place when/if she must go back into assisted living. The level of compassion and caring makes the difference for me.

My father-in-law has lived at Elmcroft for a month-and-a-half and my only notice of improvement would be their laundry procedures. They do his laundry for him and the clothes are not always hung up Matt laid across the backs of chairs and if they're folded they're not folded neatly and put in drawers.

My parents both recently moved into this community and I have been very pleased to see how well they have adjusted to there new living environment. They have had no major complaints and seem to be enjoying the company of the other residents that live there. Another big positive is they are liking the meals they serve as well as the dinning experience. So far everything is going well and we are excited to see what is too come.

My loved one has really been enjoying the different meals they offer at this community, they have a wide variety of choices and healthy options. I am disappointed on the lack of motivation the staff has had for my dear friend, he has not been pushed to join in any activities and is left lonely a lot of the times.

This was one of the places we looked at when looking for options in the area. It was okay, there were no red flags or anything, but just not the best fit for us.

Elmcroft was not quite what I expected...prior experience with the property (several years ago, under different ownership structure) was less than desirable. The new Elmcroft is a very nice place! They've done a fantastic job improving appearances and performance! Everyone on the staff was warm and welcoming to my Mom and me and has gone out of their way to make her feel at home! I feel comfortable she's safe and looked after not only by the Elmcroft staff but by a bunch of caring residents...no place is "perfect," but this spot gets pretty close!!

Very nice staff. Was not overly impressed with the place because of a slight odor there. Residents seemed a little unkempt. Will continue looking.

The staff and the facility itself were nice enough, however the atmosphere wasn't very warm or welcoming. It was also a bit more expensive than other similar options we'd looked into.

I think it is great place to be. People are very friendly and know how to take care of people. Great place

26 March 2013. Almost funny situation. This property was only on my list because of a personal reference. Not until I made the drive did I realize how far out of my desired distance it was. Upon my arrival, the receptionist seemed to be having a bad day and told me that Mary S. did not have an appointment with me; rather adamently. So, I left. Mary called me soon after, apologizing. I explained that it was probably better not to waste her time with a tour due to the drive time for my Sister from Cedar Park. I would recommend still recommend others check out the facility.

It was good during the transition. However, there services aren't represented truthfully in the sales process. Overall, the experience has been mixed. The facility is generally clean; however, my father's room has an odor due to his roommate's incontinence. Friendliness depends on the person and the situation. Management can be defensive but is helpful most of the time. The quality of care also depends on the staff member, as the level of care can vary. The food is good. The activities seem to be aimed more toward women, so there is not much for my father. They did have a car show that he loved. There is a workout room for therapies, and they have a physical therapy group that rents space. However, there is nowhere for veterans to do their therapy.

The staff is friendly enough, some very friendly. They are not credentialed so are probably being paid little. The monthly price is the lowest of the facilities I visited in Indian River County. Admn staff was very friendly and always said, “Sure, no problem," but then didn’t do anything. So I would say they were friendly but ineffective. After a month, my sister developed a full body rash which was not cleared up three months later. Though I had alerted Admin staff, when I discussed it with one of the nurses weeks later, she said, “Why didn’t someone tell me?" The activities did not attract my sister. She would have a meal and go back to her room, partly because she didn’t like the activities, party to protect her belongings as her glasses went missing, also my silver watch (when I was helping her shower), and a pair of magenta sheets for her bed. So there is a theft problem in Memory care.

The food is not much and you have to practically bacon get another napkin. No coverage if you run out of briefs. It's all about the money . The food is edible, but that's about it.

Changed personnel from the first visit also confusion with long-term care insurance that is yet to be resolved. Food is served at room temperature. The facility has been sold without prior notification. Staff seems to be friendly. Wish I had waited until Hawkins Creek had an opening in their memory care. They were my first choice.

Please note that key Managers were terminated and everything has gone downhill significantly since Corporate has been on- site for last 2 months. Only Activities has continued at its high level since that team has not been let go. The Chef quit almost 2 weeks ago and the new one isn't coming onboard until early May. The quality of the food has been in the pits and because Corporate neglected to order sufficient supplies we have run out of food, did not have any alternative options like hot dogs or hamburgers which had run out, ran out of salad and bread when Reuben sandwiches were on the main enter. Some residents are talking about leaving because the food is so bad. Never have enough silverware, creamer, butter, salt & pepper, cups and glasses on tables for meals. The Executive Director who was hired was fired within 2 weeks. The new Sales Director has been here for 2-3 weeks but never comes out of her closed door office to introduce herself to any of the residents. We have lost the sense that this is a home with the questionable termination of the previous Executive Director and Sales Manager.

Office staff was very nice. The nurses in the memory care was not as caring and patient as I thought they should be with mom. They sent her to the hospital several times then I moved her the last time after her counts were really off from not eating properly.

[Name Removed] was extremely knowledgeable and about the facility. She does her job very well. I know if I had any further questions. I could contact her, and she would definitely be able to help me. She did spend quality time with us. Which was greatly appreciated.

. I realize staffing is a problem for management. The quality of the food has range from good to bad. It may be due to the kitchen staffing. The activities seem to be adequate. The room seems to be nice with the furnishings we supplied. Staff sometimes ask to show the room to perspective occupants. Room temperature seems to operate very well. My wife, [name removed], seems to be comfortable in the room. The bathroom facilities seem to be very good. They are much safer, shower facilities, than we have at home. Her laundry and room cleaning are done once a week on Tuesday. Dispersal of daily medication seems OK except for an occasional late or miss.

Turnover is a big issue. Medicines aren't handled well due to turnover and always a new person to train. Mom always said the food was bland.
