In general, the staff was helpful and friendly. Response times were generally reasonable (when my Dad had the call device).[name removed]was very helpful and responsive.

Food wasn't good, they have since hired a true chef and it's much better. It's taken more than 2 months to get mother's meds correct. I thought all was good then to find out she wasn't receiving everything! CNA has been given notice, her last day is [date removed]. Will have to wait and see if this improves. Facility is very clean, staff is extremely nice, everyone greets me as I come and go. Several choices of activities, something is happening every day. Would highly recommend Sodalis to anyone with an aging family member.

Administrators have been changing. While I hope for the best, I'm finding communication hard. Food - I'm going by my Dad. He believes tastes bland and since he's served last, doesn't always get what he wants. Cleanliness - had incident over a weekend. staff didn't want to clean until crew came in on Monday so I had to do myself (had to be done). Sometimes I visit and really good . Others could use a little extra touch...hit or miss. [name removed] was involved as home health care worker saw incident.

Sodalis Tampa actually made the news when one of the residents sons complained about the care given. They since had one meeting where everyone was invited to participate but those of us that had to listen on speaker phone didn't hear much of it. A common concern was security at the front door. When it does get locked at night there is no one available to let relatives in and when the door is unlocked during the day the person who is supposed to be sitting at the desk isn't always there which allows anyone to enter the building. There has been been a complete turnover of staff even the non administrative people last fall/winter. I tried to find out why but didn't get very much info. The new administration director only stayed 3-4 weeks and abruptly left without notice. She did tell me, via text, that she was asked to do things that, in clear conscience, could not do, one of them being to back date something that she was not present for when it happened. She told me she felt if she stayed she'd be jeopardizing her career. I think that says a lot. The new new AD is very young as is the sales director. Not sure how qualified either of them are but they are friendly and helpful. Hopefully, the sales director isn't telling prospective residents that the staff responds within 10-15 minutes after they press their button hanging around their neck. That's what the old sales director told me and it was absolute BS. I timed them a few times and it wasn't even close, one time no one showed up and when I brought this to their attention I was told those people are busy with other things like meals and can't always respond for a while. I thought, well let's just hope my mother isn't laying on the floor needing help during meal time. Maybe that was a reason that caused the turnover. During the old regime, two residents were forced to call 911 because no one came to help her.

I like the décor. However, the could improve on checking in on residents, following the family's request. Some of the employees need to be taught how to do their job.

This is an older facility that has been recently remodeled. The area that it's in is older and lower class. A lot of the employees come from that area. Most of the staff was not a s friendly or helpful as you would want, but there were a few that stood out. [name removed], the health and wellness coordinator, seems to be more interested in covering their legal ass than communicating or providing service. The food is not good and the kitchen/dining room area does not smell good. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Getting in and out of the front door can be a challenge. There seems to be a lot of employee turnover and they are short-staffed. My mom's very expensive ring disappeared from her room. Of course, nobody knows anything about it. My mother was taken to the ER after being found cyanotic. They were giving her life-saving measures, even though she had a DNR. Somehow, a full code notification was put in my mother's file, right on top of her DNR. I would definitely look elsewhere before settling on this facility.

When care is needed beyond the basic level it's a struggle due to limited staff and dietary requirements They could also improve on treating ach resident individually. I will say additionally I've spoken to the new director and she's making changes so am very hopeful the lower rated items will improve. Baby steps.

Good location staff turnover high and at times not enough people..food is not great always and very spotty in terms of quality.

The staff at Sodalis are very laid back and things seem to take along time to get done . Bringing my mom here from Georgia would be different but it seems it's the same all around the country ! I'm glad I'm able to help my mom every day because if not things would be ignored. My mom is [age removed] and she doesn't require a lot of care but she's seems to be forgotten to many times! Her bathroom doesn't get cleaned enough, trash cans are not empty only if asked and they don't put trash bags back in the cans . She's had a toilet seat that needs to replace but still the same to this day ! Eye drops are supposed to be put in eyes at least four times a day but they haven't done it in 2 days ! They have forgotten her to many times for breakfast and lunch ! Bringing her to Texas was my idea and I feel like I have disappointed her. Sodalis seemed like the perfect choice and it may be soon it's has been a slow process !

I have had the pleasure of working with [name removed] for [X time], and I can confidently say they are a true asset to the team. consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism, dedication, and skill in their work. They approach every task with enthusiasm and attention to detail, ensuring that deadlines are met and the quality of work is always top-notch.

Need more staff on hand during the night shift and the evening shift plus the day shift.The Night shift Nurses should make more rounds to check on patients! And not just not answer call lights which they are supposed to do.

The building of Sodalis got a 4 for cleanliness, but 2 for their room. I don't want to give Sodalis a poor rating overall for cleanliness. They just have room to improve in several areas to be top rated in my opinion. Especially for price. They empty trash but that's it. We do all housekeeping for my parents apartment. Including scrubbing bathrooms, changing sheets, vacuuming, mopping floor, and dusting. I give mediocre score for worth money, because of housekeeping of their rooms, and quality of food. As well as no weekly bathing schedule for mom. Regarding food, possible ideas. More healthy options with fruits and vegetables. Salads more varied. Sodalis needs to have housekeeping records outside the door when she comes and what she cleans. My mom is fairly independent but can do no housekeeping, changing sheets, etc. they never offer to do that in their room. She won't ask. They never encourage and help mom take a shower. She needs assistance with shower weekly. No saying " do you want to bathe?" I would like to have her shower once a week routinely. Cleaning of room at least once a week and charted what they did and when they did it posted outside the door or somewhere. It appears never done.

Sodalis has had a lot of turnover in staff. It's been a problem to get issues resolved. It always takes weeks and many requests to get something fixed or resolved. I was told they recently hired a new chef and activities director so hopefully conditions will improve. There was also an issue getting some of her meds on time due to no communication about how their pharmacy works.

Took 7days before cable was connected, never met the leads of each section as identified in agreement, Workers used emergency exit next to [name removed] room all day and night triggering alarm, although [name removed] paid extra, it took 30 min to no one never showing up to assist her. Residents rooms need to be cleaned more than once a week, [name removed] room was dirty every time I or guest visited. I would clean every time I visited. Note: [name removed] was paying extra, but was struggling because when button was pushed it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to no one never responding. This is a nice facility, but it appeared it was UNDER STAFFED. [name removed] became so frustrated she left and went to another facility.

Would rate this facility average. Management was responsive. Some staff were less than attentive. Dad would consider this facility in the future but would not likely be his first choice. There was a nice touch as the staff threw my Dad a 100 year birthday party.

The facility has been going through a lot of upheaval and I am not satisfied with the way that they have been handling my mom or the amenities that are offered there Significant staff turnover problems when residents are ill Non-notification when someone has covid Need to offer more fresh food, consistent Cooks presentation and taste I'm just really unhappy with the place right now but also need to think about whether I can move my mom or not

I have mixed emotions about my overall experience somewhat satisfactory at times other times attention to detail is lacking.

We seldom hear from doctor or nurse. We've seen little improvement. The activities are not as important. By the way, there's been no improvement, yet the monthly bill has increased fee removed] in a year! It's close by us. I was hoping that doctor and nurse would play a greater role in helping [name removed] improve. She still is terribly depressed, cries about everything, and doesn't care about her hygiene. She still is obsessed with food. The staff there seems only interested in maintaining status quo.

My Father who had recent back surgery was a resident for about three months. Prior to him moving in I inquired about physical therapy services at Sodalis. Management said they don’t have staff on site to provide therapy but they are contracted with a third party company Empower Me which would come to the facility and help my continue the healing process with therapy. He never received any type of physical therapy as a resident of Sodalis.

It is an older facility but some of the staff was not very engaging. Overall it was just adequate.
