Sodalis Elder Living

It’s a nice location. The people there are friendly. My loved one seems to like the food. The outside area is small, but it’s there. There’s decent parking and the laundry seems to be getting done okay. We choose this community because of locations and because it had all the services that my loved one needed.

I ranks above Grace House. The rooms are MUCH larger. Like the feel of the dining room and a lot more space to do things. Isn't as personalized service, staff ratio 1:10 vs 1:8. Price for a 2-bd suite, which she would LOVE is the same as Grace house (comparing GH Level 2, to Elmcroft level L).

My loved one has been here for a few months and so far it's been a good experience. The people are nice and they've helped us get a lot of care issues straightened out. They worked with us and her physician to get her medication adjusted and regulated. Her health has really improved since moving here, and she's started putting on weight for the first time in years! The food is very good, and she's getting 3 regular meals a day now. The one issue we've had that took the score down a bit is that there have been multiple instances of things going missing from her room.

Toured 2/3 $2800 for studio plus $600 care level and $1,300 community fee $2000 for companion room. Has memory care unit.

Overall this is a very nice facility. It's got a warm home-like feeling, and not the hospital like atmosphere of some other facilities that we looked it. The price was comparable to similar facilities we saw in the area.

It is assisted living, which is not the kind of care that he needs, but it looked like a nice place. He didn't qualify. They do memory care, but because of his psychological condition he would be combative, and they couldn't handle that.

It's only been about five months but they've been very, very good. They are very clean they've been very, very friendly. My mother is very difficult and they've done a great job, and have been very supportive of me. They bring in outside people to interact and play games or they bring in a husband and wife that do a bible study. They have red hat luncheons, they will go get red hats and then go to a local restaurant. They had a halloween party and a Thanksgiving event. They were smaller than some others and much more supervised, and they were really homey in there and I like that you just feel like they realy, really care. They are sensitve to those around them as much as they can be. The location and size was good. Its clean and homey and nice. it doesn't have that institutional feel. Their food could be a little more interesting. It's not bad but maybe could be a little better sometimes.

They seem to have a really good set up there, the food was really good but they were so expensive being in the city limits that I couldn't afford them, but they had a great setup. Everything was really nice, but it was several hundred dollars out of my price range, it was 3150 just for base rent and it was going to go up. They seem to be a great place, but their price was just outrageous for me, but maybe that's the going rate in the city.

The facility was very nice, the people were nice. We had lunch there. I think the biggest thing is when they met some of the people there my former mother-in-law and father-in-law didn't feel as comfortable there. It was like a bunch of old people but they don't realize they're old people too. It was a delightful place.

When you walk in you either go right or left so you would immediately turn around; so even if you got lost you wouldn't have to take more than 20 steps so my mother couldn't really get too disoriented. We liked it here, it was easy for her to navigate but my mother was so lonely, one day she'd be calling us all the time and the next day she would be alright. She had a really large, nice apartment, she had her dining room and living room furniture but the problem was we had to take her to visit her husband and it just didn't work out. This was probably the best situation before my step father had gotten so sick, they weren't doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing but the physical layout of the building was much better than the place they went after

It was a great place while she was there, the cost was good. It was in very close vicinity to where I lived and I knew people in administrative positions personally so I knew it would be a good place because we knew people there but they were all great. They took care of her very well and she liked it very much, it was her idea to go. The activities were very, very good and she picked and chose what she wanted to do. She was in a room with a roommate and they took care of each other. After I found out there were people there that we knew I knew she would be comfortable.

My brother-in-law is there and he likes it, he really does except for the food. The residents complain about it - it's good food, it's just not what they want. The community is really nice. It's comfortable and the people are friendly.

My father is living there now and the staff is very friendly. The building is very clean and the landscaping is great. The care services are very good compared to some of the other facilities I've looked at - they've got an RN on hand. My father hasn't taken part in any of the activities yet but from what I could see, they have a wide range of activities available for residents.

It is hard to rate this community because they do some stuff really good but do other things not very good. We have been having some issues with them and are trying to iron them out but it seems like no one is really taking responsibility. The community itself is extremely clean they really take care of it but when it comes to the bathrooms they are not very clean at all. The staff is really friendly and are very responsive when you call or stop by. Cost is about $3,200 a month. The food is really good. The community is secure and they have a locked door policy so after hours or on weekend the staff has to let you in. So sometimes you get stuck waiting there a little while. Overall it is a really good community that just has some flaws but they seem to want to fix them and really provide the best care they can.

My Brother in Law is very happy with the Stanley House.

I really liked this place. I loved everything I saw and heard.
