Very nice! Small and intimate. Great memory care area with only 16 residents. Both mom and dad will live here. Five stars!

I’m very impressed with Elmcroft. We couldn’t ask for more. It’s an extremely beautiful place – wonderfully clean. My loved was only there for a short. Everyone there is just absolutely outstanding. Vera and the director were so impressive. Everyone in the Elmcroft was just fabulous.

It’s very friendly and open. They’re very caring. The food is okay. There is enough parking. We haven’t had any trouble with the laundry service.

We are happy with them, they are very clean. The staff are really friendly. Mom is in the memory care unit, and the staff is always close by in case there is a conflict between the residents, someone is nearby to intervene. The executive director is always out interacting with the residents. The food is good too, the plates always get cleaned!

I moved my mom here after looking at several places. She went into assisted living, but we quickly discovered she needed more. All the staff from the director to all the other staff members went out of their way for my mother. They have striven to give her the very best care. Everyone who deals with her treats her lovingly and with respect. Words do not convey how grateful I am.

I was struggling with a difficult decision with moving my mom to assisted living. I visited several places, but I loved Elmcroft from the first time I was there. My mother needs extra help and they are giving that to her. She loves being taken care of and I can feel comfortable knowing she is in good hands... The staff from the top to the bottom is great and never seem too bothered to help her out.. I appreciate them so much. It is a perfect fit for us.

My visit to this facility was wonderful also. The tour was great and so were employees i met during my tour. Of course my father will be making the decision of his choice.

They do a great job here. The staff does a great job communicating with the residents and their families. If there are ever any issues they'll contact you immediately, and are always willing to help you resolve any issues you have in person. They also really went out of their way to make my loved ones transition to living here as easy as possible.

My mother has lived at Elmcroft of Timberlin Parc over 4 years. What I love most about Elmcroft is the caring staff that work there. Whenever I drop by to visit I am always greeted with a smile and sometimes a hug from a staff member. They show love and respect to all of the residents that live there. And they go out of their way to make each resident feel special. If one of the residents has a "special dream" Rachel Waxer, the Healthy Lifestyle Director, will make it come true. She is always planning fun events and outings and is never without her camera! It is wonderful to know that my Mom calls Elmcroft her home now. And knowing that she is happy and well taken care of I have a peace and can sleep at night.

In the summer of 2010, our family faced a very difficult decision. Due to our father’s declining health, it was necessary to move him and our mother from their home of 50 years. A member of the family knew about Elmcroft Assisted Living in Timberlin Parc from previous research, so it was the first place we visited and ultimately the facility to which we moved our parents. Shortly after the move our father passed away, but he knew beforehand that our mother was in a safe place and would not be alone. The decision to move our parents to Elmcroft was based on several factors, most important of which was their safety. Knowing that care givers would be available 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency to assist them with their needs was a priority. Other factors included provisions for proper nutrition, administration of medication, cleanliness of the facility, care and friendliness of staff, and the ability to add various services when the need arose. We also liked the fact there were many planned activities for the residents, some of which take them off campus to shop and have lunch out. Elmcroft is a small facility and this was important to us as well. We moved our mother in the fall of 2012 to Heartland Village, Elmcroft’s Memory Center. She is cared for by loving and patient staff members and is safe, happy and content. The move was made easier knowing she would be treated with dignity and respect by Elmcroft staff. She gets daily hugs and confirmation of her specialness. Not only is our mother cared for, the staff is very supportive of the family members. They provide monthly opportunities to learn about dementia and the effects it has on our mother. There are also several family oriented parties a year that have something for all ages. It is a wonderful thing when young and old alike can come together and have food, fun, and fellowship. Every day we are grateful for Elmcroft, the wonderful staff and the loving care they provide for our mother.

Every time I visit Elmcroft I'm impressed. (I visited five different facilities.) The staff members are a lovely group of caring individuals and the facility is beautiful. But I was really impressed with the residents. They look happy, they are alert, they participate in activities, they are warm and friendly. After several visits to the facility at different times, I selected Elmcroft and moved my Mom to the assisted living side. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't handle change well so it was a difficult day. The staff bent over backwards to help my mom get inside and get acclimated. I received several calls the first few days from the staff with status updates and ensuring they understood her routine so they could make her comfortable. The other residents took my mom under their wings and made her feel welcome. I know I selected the right place for my mom's new home.

They have been there for two weeks, and I like the staff and the cleanness. They are just very friendly, very attentive. I like it a lot. I just went to a Christmas program that they had for them. They got them all dressed up and invited families to participate. They feel involved already, and I enjoy that they get to interact with other people and, use that brain!

I would say more than anything else, it is the staff that they have there, and their dedication to making a comfortable and safe environment. It is not like a brand new facility; I think that it is just a little outdated, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. I was also looking for a group that would have the possibility of a memory care unit, and Elmcroft was one of the better places that I saw in terms of engagement with the staff.

Mom liked it ver much. She did not like shared bath in Vitality suite. She liked the studio with its own bath. She has $2600 monthly but cost was $2940.

They are absolutely wonderful to my mother in law and if she starts wandering off in the wrong direction they very kindly and nicely turn her around. They have told my son in law to not worry, she's here for the duration, you won't have to worry about finding another place. They're all the time going around and checking on things, the staff has been cooperating and they've handled everything that's come up. Theres no question about them that I'm not going to say excellent to. The care is really, really good and they were super good with my father in law too because he needed more care than she did with his strokes and having to transfer him out and transfer him back in and they have been very understanding and caring with everthing.

We liked the idea of a companion room. They offer companion rooms at Elmcroft of Carrollwood, they are significantly larger then rooms we saw at other facilities. We saw about six facilities in the area and called several more. The tour guide at Elmcroft was empathetic and very helpful which we really appreciated. From the initial interview they made our loved one feel right at home. Affordability was another deciding factor, some places we saw charged $1000 more a month. Elmcroft also has Alzheimer's Care should that level of care be needed, it was important we found a place that offered Memory Care. (Cannot rate the activities just yet.)

The staff is on top of things and really tries to do what they can to make it better. They are very helpful and really patient with the residents. They take the time to try and learn the residents and figure them out as best as they can. They really are doing a great job. Overall we are happy with them and their care service efforts.

We chose Elmcroft because there was no bad odors only pleasant smells. They had plenty of activities for our loved one to do. Mary Sullivan and Steve were both very sympathetic and empathetic they worked with us to get our loved one in the community. They stayed calm and were very helpful during the entire process. We are completely and totally pleased with Elmcroft and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

At Wm. Cannon & Manchaca. All private rooms, different levels of care and they have a memory unit. Would be good to go by here and check out the various levels of care. Looks like the memory care unit would be around 4k/mo. which is okay. I think I spoke to people at this centre but can't recall specifics. Don't know about outside areas that are controlled access, daily activiites, etc.

Not in Jud's price range but she gave me info on Howell house and cares fl Medicaid program.
