Since my mom moved in in August, there have been many problems. They have cut staff, made huge billing errors, tried to charge for services my mother has not received, seriously lacked in cleanliness, and obviously are only concerned about corporate profits.

I had the worst experience during my tour of this community. I wouldn't even send my dog here. Everything about this community needs improvement. From the staff to the up keep of the community, major improvement is needed.

Don't bother bringing your loved one here. [Removed] , and [Removed] they don't care about the residents. Everything may look nice on the outside looking in but on the inside looking out that grass ain't greener on the inside.

Boy went there with my wife saw a room it was not even clean roaches crawling every where what a lie .....looks nice when you walk in but the rooms nasty .........and the lady her name was [Removed] was not very sincere she is not professional at all .....she spoke about victory lakes and how it would closer to are home .....we are looking there not league city ......so unprofessional. .......

Don't go here not a good place at all management awful they never have time to speak to the residents. ..and rude horrible they are always short staffed people are always quitting here this company it poorly handled from the top down .....we see faces for a week then they are gone if I knew before I moved here how it was going to be I would have never came here ....moved here in Aug then got a letter in December my rent was going up .......what is that ............I am moving somewhere else next month thank god ........so please beware of this place not what you see is always good ....

A family member lived there for many years. They seem to have significant staff turnover, including the all-important exec-director role. (The social director was the one constant through the years and she was very good with the residents.) A couple of the exec directors were good; most were disengaged. Consequently, care was sometimes good; sometimes not so much. There was one stretch of 8 or 9 months without an Exec Dir; one filled in part time from a different Brookdale property. But irrespective of any of this however, like clockwork, Brookdale could be counted on to pass down large price increases each and every year. But, what was most concerning was, after my parent left for another facility it was brought to my attention that they'd been on strong doses of a psychotropic med. Nothing remotely approaching "informed consent" was ever provided (meaning this kind of medication has to be explained to you in plain English). This revelation was deeply disturbing. I entrusted my parent's care to Brookdale and, pending evidence to the contrary, feel my trust was badly misplaced.

My mom lived at Dayton Place for 5 years, transitioning from independent to assisted living. Staff is caring but management is terrible. Quality and service has declined significantly. Director and Care Coordinator ignore family concerns. Three weeks after formally requesting additional care, nothing changed. My mom had not been bathed, she didn't get dressing assistance. Caregivers lack some skills. My husband observed one caregiver struggle to read instructions on a written sheet. Very expensive place for very substandard care.

This place is NOT what it seems. I would strongly advise against placing your family member there. They negligent to provide even the most basic services such as help with changing or eating on a regular basis. The activities are nice but that really doesn't matter when basic needs aren't being met. No person deserves this subpar level of care.

My mother has been here for 3 months. Price is expensive. Activities are mediocore. Highlight is Wii bowling. Staff is pretty nice. Security is weak. I can open my mom's door with a library card and the security card just racial profiles and waves me in.

Independent living doesn't provide check in with residents as promised. Mom was not checked in for 3 days and almost died as a result. Management did not provide any real response to the issue except to say they resolved the issue which they didn't. I would recommend finding a better facility. The staff in general is very nice. Management is lame.

Did NOT appreciate visiting my Mom today to find her in her own feces (sheets and carpet by her bed), really?????!!!!!!!!!

my grandmother has dementia and broke her hip. my family put her here thinking that this was a great looking facility but thats about where it ends. the staff is not compassionate at all. they leave her soiled for hours, they dont change her wounds when they have becomes soiled. the more you ask them questions and request someone to come the more they avoid you. she was at tamarac nursing home before we moved her to this awful place even though the facility was run down and didnt have good fun, they cleaned everyday unlike the forum and gave my grandmother loving care. stay away from this place!

This place is awful and all about the money. Expect to be overcharged for everything. Nursing staff charges for every pill given. i hope you don't live out of town as they expect you to come in and babysit your relative every time there is any issue whatsoever. Moms teeth rotted under her bridge and now needs dentures. There was no dental care of any kind. Staff is not trained to recognize medical issues as simple as a UTI. In the administrative/financial area THERE IS NO ONE IN CHARGE!!! Expect no answers. If you get one I can guarantee its wrong. Avoid this place. We are preparing to sue and we are not that kind of people

Rittenhouse Was Totally Misleading! Mom has Alzheimer's and needed secure care. They evaluated her, said she needed care at a level 2. No problem. Dad moved into their villas to be near mom. Rittenhouse suggested family stay with mom and keep Comfort Keepers (paid service) for a bit to ease the transition. This turned into their requiring someone with mom 24/7 until she could get into a behavior hospital. Meantime, they apparently don't clean the villas when it snows and promised cleaning of the floor did not happen (was not done before move in). After 2 weeks in behavior hospital and now on meds, Rittenhouse advised (on the day before release) they could not care for mom, so she can't come back. After scrambling to find a place for mom, dad advised office he would be moving to be near mom as they were not able to care for her. Even with 2 weeks notice and a waiting list to get in they refused to waive the 30 day notice for dad. All guests in the memory care unit received the same care...so apparently everyone is a Level 2. It became clear it was about making money, not care...Beware of what you are promised or assured will be provided.

2016 management staff does NOT care about residents well-being. Refrigerators in apartments should be on the cleaning list, especially with residents with memory issues! They should ensure residents are actually being taken care of: hair, toe nails clipped, sundries being provided (toothpaste, toothbrush, face cream, incontinent needs being met!) You know basic necessities of life for the elderly. Just because the rent is being paid, does not mean loved ones with control over finances are providing this care for their mother or father.

This place is an utter nightmare. Incompetent and negligent staff on all levels. The facility might look pretty but the care is quite ugly. Staff leave resident units from 8pm until 8am. Residents are helpless and unable to get help. [removed]. Witnessed patients writhing in pain all night when they were to have meds every two hours. To fill beds they take residents in need of skilled nursing care. [removed]. Caregivers are not trained and most incompetent, on their phones or sitting around and eating. [removed]. Fortunately she is no longer there. This place needs serious investigating!

This has been the worst experience I have ever encountered. Unfortunately, I am very familiar with the good, bad and the ugly of care homes. Since management has changed our loved one has been mistreated and many errors have been made. The Nurse is very abrasive and aggressive towards the residents as well as the family. The nurse, management(especially Billy) and the newer caregivers actually create anxiety for our loved one. I feel that they have created an unsafe environment for the residents as well no respect for them. Times have shifted there as it is no longer "resident based, it's all about the money." Respect, safety, compassionate caregivers and situational awareness to each resident should the top priority! I am writing this in hopes to bring awareness to other families. I am sadden to even write this.

This was not a good fit for our mom. We thought she'd have a lot more attention than she did. She spent a lot of time in her apartment, alone. Therapy was delayed. Granted there were holidays involved. She's at home with around the clock care and is happy.

When we first visit the place we though it was a perfect place for my father-in-law he was 90, well the place is nice but the staff is not so nice. My father in law had a fall and fracture his hip he was given a wheel chair with no foot pads on it so every time they pushed him he had to lift his legs and he would drop his legs and it would jam his hip because it would cause a sudden stop. Well they would yell at him to lift his legs and it really hurt him. Then he had to go to the hospital for sevear pain and they said they could take him back in memory care section well when he got back there they tried to move him from his bed to a wheel chair after we said do not move him he still in pain and he fell again and well he did not recover from that fall and passed away. Well guess what they will not give us the accident report because its company policy not to release it. So we will never really know what happened to him and how he fell. The director never once called to say how sorry we are he passed away. Just goes to show you all they are interested in is money.

We recently moved our mother out of the Forum after realizing the care my mom was receiving was not adequate. The Assisted Living Center we thought at 1st was wonderful, including the support staff and Altha. However, when we needed assistance, our needs fell on deaf ears. The last 3 weeks, when my mom needed a little more attention, the care of the nursing staff got worse. We just wanted our mom to have some compassion but were told by Head of this department, that they are not a memory center, "they are only skilled nursing center". Ironically, most of the residents here have dementia so it's difficult to explain why the nurse staff are not compassionate or understand the nature of this illness. When I asked Management to look into my complaints, they told me they would investigate, it's now 3 weeks later and I am still waiting !!!!!
